Interesting that the top performing camera on a mobile phone - on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra - is powered by the SD 865. It appears that the Note20 Ultra tested by Dxomark is the Exynos 990 version (not surprising as DXOMARK IMAGE LABS is a French company).

That's because they tested using the Exynos CPU variant because they didn't have the Snapdragon CPU which beats the Exynos CPU by a LONG SHOT!! That Exynos CPU is sh!t compared to the Snapdragon!!

Is there a difference in image processing between processors. I hope samsung takes note and allows all 3 cameras on pro mode. 108mp is abysmal

According to Samsung there is because they said this about their Exynos CPU..
"The latest Exynos processor features dual ISP for smartphone that enables dual cameras feature on the front of back of devices. It enables picture to have richer tones and colors by using different light information from two separate cameras. Optical zoom is also possible by combining two lenses that have different focal lengths. In addition, with 2nd camera recognizing depth information, user can adjust focusing with depth of field after capturing a picture."

Try it yourself, Samsung rushed the N20ULTRA , it feels fast asf but incomplete in some aspects such as camera. 5x zoom indoors is bad and pro mode raw tints pictures and sharpness goes up, gives a orange yellow tinge. Note 8 /9 cameras were more optimized with the exception of zoom.

Well I'm really glad that I don't use the camera's very often anyway so hopefully they look into it and fix it.. That was pretty bad in those pictures you took.. I've never had a reason to use the zoom feature either so I never saw any of that.

Absolute right. Dxo is an INFLUENCERS site, not a impartial testers site.
And there s a LOT of difference.
And there's nothing wrong with that, we all have to work for live ... they just have to admit it.
Samsung not pay for reviews, chinese companies paying and let you to keep the phone.
---------- Post added at 11:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:27 AM ----------
Oh and btw .. this time, exynos models can take better photos than the snap!

It's not just DXoMark though. A lot of reviews have pointed out the zoom and processing issues including this one that I've linked below that offers ways for Samsung to fix it. They've really dropped the ball on this one.
https://www.inputmag.com/reviews/he...he-galaxy-note-20-ultras-108-megapixel-camera
Edit: Pay attention to the end where it describes how Samsung can fix a lot of these problems with updates which seem quite reasonable to me. Even more worrisome mentioned is Samsung's lockdown when it comes to GCam and others as well which is Apple like.

Upcoming HTC Device [Oneˣ5] Sense 4.5 vid | 1080p | Quad-core S4 | 1.5GB RAM | 480ppi
We have seen a couple pictures of a upcoming HTC device that has a 5 in screen most likely at 480ppi(insane and our eyes cant tell, I know) with 1080p resolution. It has the possible name of the Oneˣ5. I know the photos are bad quality especially the 2nd(earlier photo leak). This phone is also know as HTC6435. Let me know what you guys think!
GSM Arena - Added Specs
The DIx is said to feature a Qualcomm S4 Pro SoC with four Krait cores.
The device is rumored to feature a second notification LED for missed events on the back, near the camera.
Additional Information
It's also worth mentioning that the HTC DIx's 480ppi is odd considering that a 5" panel with a 1920 x 1080 pixels results in a pixel density of just 440ppi. To deliver the 480ppi that the source of the rumor mentions, the HTC DIx would have to either have resolution higher than 1080p or a screen around 4.6" in diagonal. Also the DIx shouldn't be mistaken with the HTC One X+, which runs on a 720p display and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, not S4 Pro.
Rumored Specs:
Android 4.1.1
Sense 4.5
1080p Screen at 480ppi
Quad-core Snapdragon S4 (Pro)
1.5 GB RAM
16 GB Internal Storage
Non-Removeable Battery
External SD - Unknown at this time

Good thing I only paid $100 for my One X. And since it's a fairly new phone it better last my contract.
If this new phone is real it is 3g? Don't care - would rather have 4G LTE instead of a slightly faster phone.
The One X screen compares nicely to Retina display (IMO)
Hopefully they make this phone more developer friendly. They failed hard on our HOXL. Good thing our devs are geniuses. Looks sharp though color combo looks nice and I like the square look. Probably won't get it immediately though, I'm pretty satisfied with how my phone is now.

I know, I know don't shoot the messenger I just compiled the article from source(s).
Some sources are saying this is not the One X successor, but in the Verizon Droid Incredible line, and calling it the "Droid Incredible X" (DIx). The signature Verizon red detailing does jive with that rumor/theory:
http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-19736_7-57514471-251/5-inch-htc-phablet-tipped-to-be-droid-incredible-x/
Also, Verizon has previously stated that they will not be picking up any of the "One" line. But they have been a decent supporter of HTC Android devices almost from the start. Therefore, I always figured they would just have their own variant similar to the One X in specs, but just different branding. This would be along those lines, but an even bigger screen than the One X!

If its a "real" leak, than its possible the person was taking a picture of the device when they weren't supposed to be. Therefore rushing it, and not getting a chance to focus properly or make multiple attempts. Also, indoors with less than ideal lighting, they will not want to use a flash and draw attention to themselves, so that increases the blur potential.
Or if its an "intentional" leak by HTC, then they might be leaking blurry pics on purpose to add to the mysterious factor, or make it seem like a more authentic leak.

And the Moto X is actually smaller, at least in length, than either the SGS4 Mini (4.9") and One Mini (5.2").
looking at the phones compared to eachother its hilarious they're doing this.
-the phones almost look identical in size.
-htc one was released just a little bit ago. these phones come out so often its ridiculous.
-im fine with my htc one.
The One and One mini are similar in height, but the big reduction comes in width. That makes just as big a difference as height does. Just look at how different the Note 2 feels compared to the Note 1.

Yeah I found out right after that post. HTC deserves to go bankrupt for stuff like this.
I think more developers need to release more flagship devices with midrange specs and sell it at a lower price point. Some people want to buy a decent phone but don't want to spend $600 for it.
It doesnt need the best specs. Only midranged, but treat it as a flagship and a device that matters!

Rumour is that Google subsidises the Nexus 4 to the tune of $300+ - there's no way that HTC can compete with that.

Is the camera so bad as the first reviews said it is? It's a good idea not to compete in megapixels, but 4MP seems too low for a phone. I mean if it was a nikon it would make phantastic 4MP images, but I think it would have been better to stay with a standard 8MP. Or they may have just messed up something. I love the design of this phone and I wanted to buy it until I heard the problems with the image quality. No wonder they published a software improvement, but that's not enough!

I have the One (not Mini) and love the camera. It's much better than I expected. It was one of the hangups I had before buying it too because I use my phone as my main camera but I've been nothing but pleased with this since May. The ONLY thing that sucks about it that it doesn't do well to crop photos (because it's only 4MP) but for low light situations (indoors, outdoors at night or dusk) and HDR there is nothing better.
Will we getting the cool Ruby Red version of HTC One mini? Looks cool on HTC One

1 Year Old Mobile Device Residual Value Comparison From 1,000 Real Ebay SOLD Listings

I saw a thread on here started by someone who thought that their Note 3 purchase lost a lot of value because it's a Samsung product and I decided to investigate the validity of this perception.
I took data from the most recent 1000 Ebay SOLD Listings...listings where the item was actually SOLD and a buyer paid money for it. I did this for 1 year old mobile devices from both Samsung and Apple flagship models for the Verizon network:
Galaxy Note II 16gb
iPhone 5 16gb
Here are the results:
AVERAGE
$341.47 - Note 2
$392.19 - iPhone 5
$220.87 - Nexus 4
AVG - 10 highest/lowest values
$340.73 - Note 2
$392.01 - iPhone 5
$221.25 - Nexus 4
RESIDUAL VALUE
65% - iPhone 5
63% - Nexus 4
57% - Note 2
Of course, I'm not claiming this to be scientific but it gives us a rough idea.
No matter what phone you buy, this industry is seriously broken when the product you buy loses ~50% of its value in just one year. People are drunk on this stupidity and Samsung and Apple are both getting rich from feeding this crazy addiction!
I'm glad that the bar for "cheap" phones keeps being raised by Google Nexus devices. As these fairly high end cheap phones enter the used market and as consumer realize what a ripoff brand new phones are, the used phone market is going to increase in my opinion.
I think a used Note 3 will hold its value much better than the Note 2 since its specs are so far ahead of the pack, even as a used device, it will hold its own. This is all speculation, we'll find out for sure when the Note 4 comes out and people start selling their Note 3's.
Please see the PDF for details. At first, I was only planning to compare the Note and iphone, but then threw in the Nexus as well at the last minute. Again...NOT SCIENTIFIC, just a general idea.
BOTTOM LINE: You want to lose a lot of money in a year? Buy a mobile device! It probably has one of the worst residual values of anything you can buy! LOL!
This is great information. I got my note 3 at an upgrade price of $188. If I can get anything near that for it in two years I will be very happy. Thanks for the investigation

Ah yeah and thanks to diminishing returns, I think this market will start to slow down soon, just as the pc market has. It gets to the point where it's just not worth the effort to upgrade. Note 4 is rumoured to have an even higher resolution screen for example. What's the point when the Note 3 screen is already crystal clear?

I agree! Anything above 350ppi is just a waste of GPU cycles and battery. If you were President of the Note division at Samsung, what would you do to the Note 4 to improve it? I mean, it's a highly competitive market, how else do you impress consumers and fend off your competitors' spec jabs at your product?
Only way to get ppl to buy the next phone is if:
1.) Rollup Flexible Screen
2.) x86 compatible
3.) Last > a week (removable battery) (same weight and volume)

Respectfully disagree. I have a Canon S120 that costs 1/3 as much as any super phone, but no super phone can take pictures like this little thing.
Cell phone cameras have come a long way, but they still have a long way to go before equaling point and shoots like the Canon S120.
Personally, I'm not too worried about battery life because it's easy to swap in a fresh one. One week on heavy use? That seems too long. Three full days on heavy use seems more reasonable to me.
Roll up screen would be nice but that might not come until the Note 7/8/9. I would be happy if they made the screen with flexible AMOLED so that if you dropped it, it would not break. Then, coat it with something scratch proof so it won't scratch either.
I liked where Sony is going with their waterproof models.
If the Note 4 has unbreakable glass on the front with a scratch proof coating AND exceeds Sony's waterproof phones' ratings, then I would definitely upgrade again.
They can spend the rest of their time optimizing TW and maybe adding one or two new features (if they are really cool features) but for the most part, optimize and stabilize.
And lastly, improve the camera, add OIS...try to make it as good as a Canon.
Oh wait...how about dual micro SD card slots? That would be dope! 64gb micro SD x 2 + 32gb onboard = 160gb total for those of us who hate using the NSA monitored cloud.
Well, just remember, Samsung is staffed by people and people enjoy vacations and holidays as much as anyone else. Gotta pick and choose your battles. We can't get everything we want in just one year.
Amazing post, thank-you. I posed myself this exact question this morning, and then 20 minutes later I see your post.

Don't know if you know this, but dual facing cameras actually don't exist on any HTC phone, you know what? In fact they don't exist on ANY phone.
On the contrary, dual SPEAKERS exist on quite many HTC Phones.
Heres the interesting question, based on logic, What do you think is the liklihood that "camera" was actually a mistype of "speaker"?

Inference, I suggest trying it someday, it's like autocorrect, except in your brain, that is, if you have one. (which would be an impressive turn of events for you)

Ever heard of PROOFREADING? It's what anyone with half a brain does when posting on a forum. Especially when trying to snowball people into thinking they are more intelligent than others when in fact the opposite is true.
I'll let you have the last jab as I have already wasted more time than I care to on your childish, immature personal attacks.

Just it gives a good feeling to be uptodate lol

I'd like to see the Note 4 have a full size SD slot so we can have 256GB on one card. Managing filesystem across two microSDs would be a mess. One SD doesn't have that problem.

Ever heard of GOOGLING?
If you had even bother to look on the first link you'd have known dual facing speakers exist already.
All without wasting anyone's time and effort reading your ignorant time wasting question.

Welcome aboard.

Dear all,
LG did it again! I loved the first Flex... and after to meet the Flex2 all the other mobiles look generation back. Why you are looking for it?
Just we can collect here our impressions and suggests...
Regards,
Let's hope the development is a lot easier on this. And I'm kinda disappointed by the smaller screen. I don't think I can go smaller than my current flex. When I hold other phones they feel like little kid phones

Agree 100%, the smaller screen is a huge disappointment.

Well I think Lg nailed it personally. I loved the first one but it was a tad too big, with 5.5 inches it'll be much easier to Manage, also the specs are amazing.

Yeah the specs are awesome ill say that. Camera could have been bumped up a notch though
Wonder if everyone will jump from the G3 to the Flex 2.
Do we start taking bets on how long till the BL gets a workaround lol?

I don't think many ppl will jump ship. The Flex 2 will be expensive when it comes out I'm guessing, plus it really is the same as The G3 but curved and bumped up specs which is fantastic for me since I never owned a G3 yet. But for those G3 owners I think they'll wait for other snapdragon 810 phones to come out.

I don't know about that... http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-g-flex-2-price-amazon-de-579879/
The LG G Flex 2 was recently unveiled at CES 2015 and comes packing plenty of cutting edge hardware, including LG’s latest flexible display and Qualcomm’s new high-end processor. According to a listing on Amazon.de, the LG G Flex 2 will retail for around €599.99 off-contract. This will probably work out to around $600 in the US, give or take, based on the usual price differences.
This puts the G Flex 2 just on the cheaper side of your typical flagship smartphone and certainly isn’t an unreasonable price for a handset featuring a 5.5-inch 1080p flexible display, 13MP OIS+ camera, Snapdragon 810 processor, and a self-healing cover. However, what isn’t clear is whether this is the 2GB RAM/16GB storage or 3GB RAM/32GB storage variety of the handset, although the price probably suggests the former. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of a release date either, although pre-orders are available now via the link.
If you would like a closer look at what the G Flex 2 has to offer for €599.99, check out our coverage of the launch announcement and our time spent going hands-on with the handset at CES.

Thanks, comparing to the Exynos 7420 leaks of S6 it's not dragging behind much, but it does pull the shorter straw in all tests, especially multitasking and CPU integer/float-point. Obviously we have to see how the S6 does in real life later.
Since AnTuTu tests a lot of different areas the result can vary a bit depending on heat, current load on the system etc.

garbage phone

Lots of blotware, worst ever selfie camera!
Waiting for Pixel 3 xl

I do care of selfie photos, we are in 2018,selfie quality is must in flagship phone, all brands trying to do phones as close to clean android, this phone is far from clean android, almost 3g memory goes to firmware and blotware that nobody needs, if huawei heard people talking about selfie poor quality why they don't improve it?! 20mp must have normal quality at least, why we get slowly updates?!
The only thing good except the speakers is the battery. This phone must do better in my opinion to be a flagship phone in 2018
