Hello,
I am planning to buy P40 Pro+, but for some reason I can only find good cases for P40 Pro, not Plus.
I was wondering what cases You all are using?
I am looking for good protection as I would get with UAG for example.
I have this same question, it's crazy. Some places are claiming their cases are for both the regular pro and the pro plus.

Yeah, Best Huawei phone to date and arguably best camera setup on any flagship and no decent phone cases. Pro has different cutout hole than +, btw.
So far I was able to find this two models;
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001119168253.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.62753c00dmEyrr&mp=1
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000883454262.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.62753c00dmEyrr&mp=1
Looks decent. But there really has to be more of good options out there...
Armor-X in the US has a case that supposedly fits, but I can't confirm. Armor-X has very limited availability outside of the US anyhow.
I'm surprised Spigen didn't make anything, even though I really don't like their cases. Ringke is only supplying for the normal Pro.
This is a really good option for a slick and extremely good fit. Postage was fine and received the case within a week, no problems.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bulletpr...var=554416839888&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
Ordered one of these, no idea if it's good.
https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B08BXGZ944/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_10?smid=A3CAFLJTEHGANG&psc=1
Was thinking of trying this, since I like the camera protection, potential help with flare, and the two-piece design, but it looks pretty bad.
https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B08BWXDPDN/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_9?smid=A3CAFLJTEHGANG&psc=1
Ringke and Spigen both said not planned to make cases but will pass the message onto developers.

Fujimens, I actually have this exact Honeycomb case ATM. got it locally for 15eur+shipping. Aliexpress has it for 2 and a half bucks.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001200855226.html
I'd say that it's worth 8-10. I mean it is made quite decently. Still not UAG class, but comparing it to Ringke feel, it is I'd say 2/3 as good. If that makes any sense.
But I kinda don't expect it to last more than 6 months...but hopefully I'll get some proper case by then.
Also ordered this 'fake' UAG;
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001458840169.html
Seller claims it's original, ratings are mostly positive, but the shop is a few months old, so probably fake, especially for that price.
Still, could be decent enough and better than plain silicon/TPU options out there.

The honeycomb one looks like it's one layer as opposed to the variant I showed with camera protection. Any details?
I got the other one yesterday. It more or less feels more sturdy than the Spigen and has a textured surface, so no slipping. Finish is ok, phone arrives today and I will update about the fit. Wish it was in black, though.

Got the honeycomb case, too. It is a hard plastic, a black soft liner on the edges and over the camera. Overall, not recommended unless you want a case that DOESN'T have raised edges around the screen. The other one I mentioned is much better, with the only real issue I have is that there's a polished surface around the camera module and it appears to be creating glare. The telephoto is really suseptible anyhow. The honeycomb one has a covering for the camera, which is why I got it, which helps with contrast and reducing glare. It's already kind of stretching, though, but I might take it off and apply it with a weak adhesive and use it with the more rugged case. Then I have the most perfect combination currently available.
I ordered the Spigen camera protection film, BUT they didn't punch holes for the cameras, so I returned it. They do make the wet application films for the display which are cheaper than Crocfol in Berlin. Crocfol offers a film for the camera module, but will not reply on whether holes are cut out for the camera. It's a big no-no to put films on if you are concerned about quality.

Black part feels nicer to the touch than much cheaper honeycomb option, but it actually makes the case noticeable more slippery. :/
Front side is protected kinda similar. So I am staying with honeycomb.
Also am at the point where I am just considering getting something for P40 and cut a bigger hole for a camera...
I have this one and it's amazing.

i like the barely there by case-mate better.
Could you post pics of it after you get it? Its always so hard to tell what the color is going to look like from the ad photos - the case mate barely-there case's black color just looks too contrasting from the gunmetal. I'm hoping this will match a bit better.
will it still fit the google dock ????

I doubt it (i dont have one though) as the docks are designed to fit snuggly with the phone, so i suspect the only thing that will fit with the dock will be those shield type cases e.g. Zagg Invisishield.

Good timing isn't it with the mothers day sale on
The only down side is with this one they don't have any screen protectors like they do with the 3GS version
So i just need to decide on one of those
got mine today
looks pretty good gotta say and adds little bulk
i had a gelli case on it before that i liked, but it was difficult to take on and off to put in my car dock.
i'll post pics later for any interested ppl

Please do!
Also.. what kind of feel does it have? Is it a soft-touch finish
yea lets see pics!
x3 on the pix!
Mine arrived yesterday which i wasn't expecting
Overall I'm happy with it, I don't think I would have paid the full $19.99 for it as its a bit flimsy looking. I was expecting the case to be more like the iphone 3gs version which has a rubbery feel to it.
It's easy to pop in and out of the case.
The gap for the volume controls could be thinner.
I don't have any of the google docks but I would probably bet you'd have to take the phone out the case.
Some of the guys at work that have N1's have the Zagg Invisishield so if you are feeling anal the incipio will fit over that
I'll get some piccies today
pix
like bewa mentioned it's not the same rubbery feel to it like the iphone case, which what i was hoping but this is good to imo since often times those cases with the rubbery feel end up peeling at some point. this case is pretty thin, thin enough where if it were made of the same material it wouldn't feel any different than stock.
It's a good light weight unobtrusive case for everyday use, I figure I can slap on the gelli case for the occasional drunken night out.
sorry for the crappy pics
cheers dude
Updated the first post with a link to your post
I'm sure you can find something like this on ebay soon. In Hong Kong you get the same case for $2.00, quality is good too.
thx for the pics. I wish someone would maek this style of case without the obnoxiously huge logo on the back.
i've been waiting for the feather for a long time now cause i thought it was going to be like the iphone's feather, but it doesnt seem to be.
any chance of getting a picture of the inside? is the inside of the case rubbery like the iphone or shiny?
i also dont like how it doesnt cover the corners fully. if you drop it, it'll probably take a toll on your corners.. maybe i should try the barely there
anyway,
thanks a lot for the pictures, definitely helping out my decision

its the same on the inside as it is on the outside i'm afraid :S
I was hoping even that would have some sort of grip on it but no it doesn't!
I just can't understand why they've gone for this approach on the feather for the N1 rather than the same as on the iphone versions! personally that would have been better in my view!
I held out on a case for this one based on the experience i had with the 3gs and i think after a week of usage (or less) i'm pretty dissapointed
I'll keep the case on and search for something similar to the 3GS version and look for a screen protector that doesn't reduce touch screen responsiveness...
case looks alright but I feel it's lacking a decent amount of coverage. Think I'll stick with my Seidio Innocase II

Looks similiar to the rearth rinke and diztronic ultra thin cases. Try one and give a review!
Hmmm... you can get similar case for 9.99 though.
If SGP made a bumper, I'd be all over.
The ultra thin case does look similar to those on eBay indeed.
what is up with the cutouts on the render? they are awfully tiny on the volume and power. I hope that's not how it really looks but it's not really worth it since you can get the same thing from rearth.
I'll pass. I can have two different colors Ringke Slim cases for that price.
It also includes a screen protector. That's worth the price. Buying one now.
I hope they make a clear version :fingers-crossed:

A Neo Hybrid Ex Bumper to be exact, and I will gladly pay $20-$30.
Go to their FB page and post that you want a bumper case, their already a few post already doing the same.
Sent from my Nexus 4
posted on their fb wall about having other thin cases out there with way lower price that what they'll be offering. also pointed out the how poetic bumper sales are thriving for their bumper case...
their response was "the price depends on what the package comes with"...so I had guessed they'll include their screen protector with the case...but still cant see why they proceed with the project when you can get the same case for around $2 on ebay..
This case is quite a disappointment...I associate SGP with making unique cases, not something so obviously generic looking. I'd really like to see them release something for the Nexus 4 like the Neo or Ultra Hybrids they had for the Galaxy Nexus, or the Linear Metal or Hybrid EX cases they have for the iPhone 5. Now those all look unique from the other stuff out in the market currently.
they will, it will take some time though because on the limited availability of the phone

I think the quantity of these phones in the market is enough to warrant a good sale...just look at the poetic bumper case :
ebay = 818
amazon = more than 149 (based on reviews number, so the exact quantity should be more than that)
They've raked up more than $10 grand of revenue from a single case model...
and sales from both sites are still counting, since other case manufacturers are still skeptic of the market size for this phone's casing...
received my case today!
feels nice, smooth of course lol.
but it feels a bit loose, but it does hold the phone in. The top part of the case is a bit loose with the phone in it, the bottom part is firm and in place.
Maybe because i have a back screen protector on it, but i highly doubt it.
gonna shoot them a email in a bit about it
this is so going to be a product marketing failure...
throwing something very few wants, in a market already filled with it, at a higher price...thats like 3 flukes in one go
its like selling shaved ice out in the cold, in the middle of winter, at a higher price than in summer.
disappointed in SGP

What we really need is a case that only covers the top and bottom and leaves the sides exposed. Would love to take full advantage of those curved edges.
I hate cases. There, I said it. They're bulky, they're ugly, they make the device harder to use, and I always end up questioning how well they'll really protect the device. This has, however, lead to all sorts of scratches, nicks, and chips in my phones that make these expensive gadgets look like hell and hard to sell when I want to move up to the new hotness. With the improved quality, and what I assume is an increased fragility, of the new Galaxy S6, I figured it was time to cave in and looking for something that would make me hate using my phone. After some research, I decided to pull the trigger on a grey Orzly FlexiSlim on Amazon.
The FlexiSlim is a flexible, translucent case that can really be better described as a skin. At 0.5mm thick, it adds roughly the thickness of a standard business card to the device. While this isn't going to save your phone from a drop to the floor, it feels like a great way to keep your device from being scratched up from whatever is in your pocket. The bulk it adds is so minimal, the only thing giving way the presence of the case is the quality of the materials. I know it's going to be hard to top the premium feeling of the S6, but I would have been happy to pay a little more for something that felt less like rubber and more like the cool, slick feeling of glass. The advantage here, of course, is the FlexiSlim gives you a bit more grip and traction in the hand or a loose pocket than the naked phone. I don't want to imply the quality is low, here, so it's worth pointing out that the cutouts feel perfectly sized and placed and buttons end up flush, not recessed.
Overall, I'm extremely happy here and feel like I may have landed on the perfect case for case haters since I can easily forget the thing is even on, it doesn't distract from the phone's aesthetics, and it doesn't block wireless charging. If they were to create a fully transparent model, I would jump on that in a heartbeat.
Here are a couple of shots I took with my 100mm macro:
In the promo video they said the skin was 0.35mm

Interesting! The Amazon product page lists it out at 0.5mm. I couldn't tell you which one is more accurate, but somewhere between the two seems likely as it does seem just a bit thicker than a standard business card (around 0.3mm thick).
That's nice. Like you I wish there were a transparent option. What other colors does it come in ?
---------- Post added at 04:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:11 AM ----------
Never mind I see the link, thanks
Some nice pics buddy! Really does help to show off the thinness of the case. I'm guessing it is 0.35mm if it's coming from the manufacturer. I agree with what you said about cases that feel like rubber, there's many of those around which although add very little bulk, they don't feel particularly great, makes it feel like you're carrying any other phone you've had in the past.
it comes in that translucent black and white, so should look pretty neat against any of the s6 colours. In their video they only demonstrate it on the white device, can see the difference between the same case on your blue handset and their white version.

I have brought this case for my samsung s6 along with a few other cases from amazon.com. I have used Orzly in the past and believe they make good cases at good prices
This case for me is my favourite, i am sure this is the slimmest Samsung s6 case on the market. I like the fact that you can still see the samsung logo through the case.
I've been using the Obliq [Slim Meta] Ultra Slim Fit case so far and it's been nice. Can't seem to find the dimensions/weight of the Obliq - don't think it's as slim as the Orzly

does it flattened exactly as the rear camera ? so that it will covering the camera module if we put it on the table
Hows the dust build up i and around the case, i notice that on invisible cases, this can be quite a problem, im hoping the smoke effect on this case may prevent that.

Phone skins are really great to add style to any phone, plus they’re not expensive, but they provide minimal protection if you happen to drop your phone. On the other end of the spectrum are cases, which are generally more expensive but offer much more protection. Cases are bulky and they don’t let the beauty of your phone show through because they often have to cover all four edges as well as the back of the phone.

That’s where CrashGuard by RhinoShield comes in. CrashGuard is essentially a bumper case, which means that it does not cover the back of your phone but only the sides (thus giving your device a more “naked” feel), but because of how it’s engineered, it provides more protection than most cases. CrashGuard is far superior to the bumpers of the past because it has been engineered to absorb impact. This is done by utilizing a proprietary polymer material that is far more shock-absorbent than plastic, and it also has a protective honeycomb structure within the bumper to disperse impact properly. In fact, within the honeycombs are compartments of pressurized air that act as airbags and deflect impact energy. If that sounds really elaborate, it is, and the net result is that you can drop your phone from a variety of heights (up to 11 feet) and if you have a CrashGuard bumper on the phone, you’re going to have a completely unmarked phone. If you want to see how incredible this protection is, watch this video from David Pogue where he does everything in his power to smash his phone by dropping it from a tall ladder.
Not only are CrashGuard bumpers durable, but they’re lightweight (with most of their bumpers coming in under 14 grams). They’re also pretty grippy thanks to the matte finish, and they come in a variety of colors. Another thing we really like about the CrashGuard line is the pricing: the Pixel XL is priced at $24.99, and you can pre-order a CrashGuard for the Pixel/Pixel XL.
Use discount code "XDAFTW" for 15% off until November 10, 2016. Check out the RhinoShield store here.

Where is the blue to match VZW true blue? Anyways, good bumper, true bumper, is always welcomed!
Any pictures of the bumper? How wide is it?
Any plans for clear and or orange?
This bumper added a lot of widness/tallness on the 6P and I imagine this will be the same. It will probably be manageable due to the Pixel's smaller size (XL included), but still... I'd like to see them make a more minimalistic bumper too.

It has been. Kyle G, entry #53259 won.

Loved the crashguard on my Nexus 6P, so I might as well get this too for my Pixel XL
I just hope this Bumper is better than the crappy one Verizon sold for the Moto Z Force. That thing really was bad. The best bumper ever was the Nexus 4 I think, the all glass Nexus. That bumper was great looking.
I gave a Rhino arriving weds. Amazon has them before Rhinos website does

I can say that this bumper is great, I have it already and it adds very little bulk to the device. I didn't like it in the 6P so much cuz it made it very wide.

You guys should try it in person, it made my 6P horrendously large and hard to hold that I returned it.
Reviews looks pretty poor on the Pixel Xl version. Is there gonna be a revised 2.0 version?

I've received mine today.
I was using a Spigen rugged armor before and the bumper feel so much nicer. It doesn't really make the phone wider and it feel good to touch the glass/metal
I've seen such mixed reviews on this bumper. Right note I'm using a cheap tpu car and it's ok but I'm looking for something more premium. My wife just dropped and shattered her iPhone today and I'm thinking I need to bump up my protection but I hate bulkiness

Yeah, I don't get it. Some are saying maybe it's the first batch that is an issue. I have such a hard time taking the bumper off and I'm even scared that I would damage my phone putting so much force on it just to remove a simple bumper. It's such a shame cause I really like having it on my 6P and it feels real nice on the Pixel except for the tight feel. You can't even put a DBrand skin on it with the bumper cause it'll scrape off the edge.
I've reached out to them to see if there was an issue with the first batch. And if they say no, then I would not recommend them to anyone.

I can confirm its pretty tight.
I tried to remove it and I couldn't. I'm also scared that it will crack my screen from the pressure needed.
Even with the bumper in, I can still use it in my daydream so I won't bother to remove it at all.

So, I just decided to buy another one but from Amazon this time, which has mix reviews. This one still has a tight fit but not as bad as the one I pre-ordered from RhinoShield. Their response to me was to make a video and direct me on how I can get it off. Did not feel like putting that one back on because it's just that dam frustrating. Don't know how many people that had issue actually emailed them but I think they should take the review more seriously and actually test it themselves. At this point, I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless they want to test their luck on getting one that isn't so tight.
Those who are using this bumper, is there any problem with 3.5 mm jack? Heard that its difficult to plug in and out headphones and IEMs, is that true?

Mostly an issue with headphones with a 90 degree connector. My favorite IEM has one and I can't use it with the bumper. I am waiting on some adapters to remedy this but they will negate the benefits of the 90...

I guess their 15% off doesn't work anymore.... Damn, on the look for saving as I might need 2, me and gf.
Probably the best case ever, for me i have to get it whenever i get any new devices, i got it for my pixel 2 xl, s8, s9+, Note 8, iPhone 7 plus, iPhone X & iPhone Xs Max.
and i have never change to any other brands. Right now it's a good time to get the case because of the pre-order discount as it's on the pricey side. Definitely must have for thin case lovers, one of the thinnest out there but build with quality.

Looks great! Are there button cutouts? Or are they covered...

The case edge is cut out around the buttons.
I have one on my Note 8 and the vent car mount with Qi charging. Really the best setup I've ever had. The case isnt drop rated, but is SUPER thin and light, and not slick at all. WELL worth the $$

it should be like my s9+/note8 case cutouts for volume button but top and bottom wrapped.
Pitaka has a known problem with not covering the sides very well and also leaving the screen fully exposed. Many other manufacturers are at least providing raised lips on their cases at less than half the cost of Pitaka. They really need to start doing that. You won't be losing any thinness or aesthetics, but you'll gain face down screen protection, and enhanced protection from short distance falls/drops.
Other than that the design, look, feel, durability seems to be great.
True ..it’s mainly for like us who loves the thin profile and the flushed corners and sides.. not too particular about drop protection to be honest

I'm not 100% sure of the known issue you're mentioning. As far as the screen being fully exposed, personally I wouldn't want any of it "Not exposed". These cases aren't at all designed for drop protection, and frankly even if they did provide raised lips, the case material itself gives no drop protection at all, it's all very thin carbon fiber.
I think one of the challenges some of the case mfg's are faced with is these phones with the curved edges and the use of screen protectors. Seems like a design nightmare
I've had this case on my N8 from day 1 and as far as I'm concerned is one of the better cases I've ever owned and honestly is one of the main reasons I didn't get a N9 (they didn't make the case for it)

The goal isn't really drop protection as much as it is gaining the ability to put the phone face down on a surface and not worry about it getting scratched. If they were to increase the vertical coverage of the corners, topside, and bottomside of the case just enough so that it was raised 1mm an upper/lower lip, then the phone' glass wouldn't make contact with a flat surface like a table. If you were to take a naked phone and place it on a table face down and move it around a bit, you'd likely end up with a ton of scratches.
No worries, I'm working on my own 3D printed Galaxy S10 case that should resolve these shortcomings.
I actually contacted Pitaka 6 months ago asking them why they weren't already doing it on the iPhone X, and they mentioned that it would be much much harder for the user to apply the case to the phone. I asked them why Spigen was doing it for less than half the price, and then I was shunned away.
By far my favorite case I ever used. Have had one in my s9+ since the day pitaka became available
Agree, with the low profile and button cutouts it's awesome! Cheers
Looks great except the price. Have to use dbrand alone.

For those looking super thin cases. This is the thinnest in the market.
I got that before for my pixel 2xl, texture of the case feels like cheap plastic but true that it’s the thinnest around.
the pre-order discount would end any time soon.. save as much as possible!

It's fine if you don't drop your phone because it's junk if you want any type of real protection. I've had one in my hands and a piece of cardboard taped to the phone would offer the same protection.
My standard setup for every phone is Pitaka + Whitestone Dome screen protector. This adds roughly $90 to the cost of obtaining a new phone but for me, it's worth it.

Anybody know if this case may affect the reverse charging function of the s10 or s10+ since these cases have the magnet built into them ?
wow this is insanely expensive

Carbon fiber is expensive. You should see car/motorcycle parts.
