Broken bluetooth after perform a OTA - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

Hi guys i have a problem with the bluetooth after OTA 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 (Europe version).
My bluetooth was broken, and show "activation..." and turn automatically in loop.
The problem is that activation of bluetooth isn't possible after OTA.
Does anyone have an idea ?

Hi. I also updated to 10.5.8 my EU version. Just tested the bluetooth. No issues here with me... Sorry, not of much help

Ok I will try to port the rom to fastboot and make a clean flash (without wiping Internal Storage). Thank's for you reply.

Doesn't work, I have reinstalled OOS rom fully.
And bluetooth switch to on/off without any reason.
I have tried :
- Reinstall Rom
- Delete network data
- Stop bluetooth app clear data and cache and reboot
All doesn't work

Full flash with MSM if it does not work it's a hardware failure ?

Hi @TekCoco , I found this thread only now, but I also have the same bt "activating" loop.
It started to happen to me last October when I updated via OTA 10.5.8 to 10.5.9.
Now I updated to 10.5.10 but sadly nothing changed.
It's been months since I cannot use BT at all.
I also opened a thread at the time: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/bluetooth-not-working-after-ota-update-to-10-5-9.4183671/
How did you manage to solve that?
Thanks

[Q] GalaxyS+ WiFi not working after OTA update to CM10b3 -

Hi guys,
I updated my Galaxy S Plus today to CM10 beta 3 (cm-10-20130311-ivendor-beta3-ariesve.zip) via download link. OTA tried to download zip itself but didn't succeded, so I downloaded update and applied it through recovery (TeamWin recovery 2.3.2.1).
Flashing went just fine but after upgrade my WiFi won't connect to a network that worked excellently before update ... As a matter of fact phone WiFi wont connect to any network. It shows all available networks correctly (free and protected ones) but it just won't connect.
Anybody with same issue? Any solution I should try?
Thanks in advance ...
UPDATE: Downgrade to previous version (CM10 beta 2) solved issue with WiFi ... maybe new Samsung WiFi driver caused problem?

bluetooth not working after update

i updated CM11s and now bluetooth is not working anymore.
if i try to turn it on, it tries to activate bluetooth, then goes back off.
a full wipe didn't solved the problem, but it works with a clean rom (i tried mahdi, but i had to restore backup since monday i'm leaving for holidays and i don't have time to restore all i need on the mobile now).
i know i'm not giving many infos to have some help, but if you give me some directions i can try to fix it.
also, is it possible to reinstall CM11s with twrp or just through fastboot?
thanks!
I also have trouble with Bluetooth.
It tries to send file but either the app crashes or the file can't be sent.
Any info in that?
seems like noone has this kind of troubles
Hi! I just ran into the same problem: after upgrade to Cyanogen OS version 11.0-XNPH05Q, my bluetooth connection turns out to be unusable.
It first seems to connect (after "search for devices" is hit), but immediately when the call is initiated, the connection drops out (nokia BH-105).
Will check with my car installation too.
Is it possible to downgrade to previous Cyanogen OS version - I even don't know, which one was it... but at least it was working well!
Also having troubles with Bluetooth and my car-system since the 5Q update.
Before latest 5Q update everything works fine, but now neither of the devices can see the other one anymore
already deleted existing pairing in my car-system, but can't set up new pairing...
wondering if change of kernel can be a solution tho?

Hot Spot Issue - Continued

Hello everyone sorry for this new thread and but I wanted to make sure I give more information on a fresh thread so I can hopefully fix this issue.
The issue I'm having is: When Hotspot is enabled on my Mate 8 Device, the 4G connection does not work on the device itself. However, anyone connected to the hotspot that I enabled has internet access via my Mate 8. Both cannot work simultaneously, only one or the other. This started 3 days ago.
What I did to perhaps cause the issue:
I rooted the factory ROM and changed something with the "Disable Service" app. I diabled the FusedLocation service. I rebooted then it was stuck on bootloop
I proceeded to wipe the phone on TWRP and installed a B180 ROM(Basic, stock international room - rooted) - Problem with Wifi Hotspot persists.
I thought it was the ROM's issue so I upgraded to B320 OEM ROM via 'dload' method - Problem Persists
Installed TWRP 3.0.2 and flashed another L29 B3xx ROM - Problem persists.
every time I installed a new ROM I wiped everything off the phone before I did so.
I'm absolutely stumped.
Please see the image i attached to my findings on my phone.
As you can see when Hot Spot is on, the 4G is "disconnected" and does not get an IP address.

Any help is greatly appreciated again. Thank you for your time!

Hi, I have the exact same issue, I am using a completely stock phone, with stock recovery and not rooted.
Have you found a fix to this problem?
Thanks.

Stock Nougat Firmware "BLUETOOTH WON'T TURN ON" (HELP)

suddenly i bought this phone second hand. then when I tested Turning on my bluetooth it won't turn on.
Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?
I already did troubleshoot and performed this steps:
1. Wipe cache of Bluetooth Applications on System apps in settings
2. Force stop Bluetooth Applications on System apps in settings
3. Restart my phone
4. Wipe Cache on stock Recovery & restart my phone
5. Restore Factory Settings on Recovery
but suddenly bluetooth still won't open when touching it on notification panel nothing happens even directly on the settings toggling the bluetooth won't work. :crying:
my phone is untouch on rooting world.
So my questions is;
1. Will rooting and flashing rom can solve my bluetooth problem?
2. Is this a hardware problem?
3. Is there a separate chip or module for bluetooth on the motherboard of S7 edge?
to all XDA members I'm asking if you have an idea on this matter please feel free to reply to this post.
thanks you so much!
Rooting and flashing a ROM shouldn't be necessary, if you're willing to lose data I would just recommend a full flash via Odin as it keeps you on stock firmware, doesn't trip knox etc. There's stock firmware files and a guide on www.updato.com
Sometimes the OTA updates can be buggy and end up with issues like these. It could be a hardware problem, but I suspect it's probably more likely to just be something wrong with the firmware or bootloader.

I tried flashing newest stock nougat firnware XTC csc.
Tried it using ODIN
But still bluetooth won't turn on.
Can you say that our problem is hardware failure? But I think if it's a hardware issue then wifi should not work too. Because wifi and bluetooth is on the same chip module. ???
Update: I've talk to numerous technician and they think its not a hardware issue since my wifi is working. They said that wifi and bluetooth is on the same micro chip module. So if it is hardware issue on the bluetooth wifi should not work too. ???????? @dhawal4u
Same Problem here. Since 2 months after trying Badman Rom my Bluetooth doenst work. Now I load Stock Rom, Bootloader, Modem but no solve for the Problem

I really need help! (wifi issue/downgrade issue)

Hi everyone
Please help me out!
So I had a weird issue with my hw2 that it couldnt find any wifi network right after pairing to a phone
But for some reason after I updated my watch to android 8, this issue was fixed and I could use wifi...
But I had to factory reset the watch because I also flashed official oreo on my phone, and after factory reset the wifi issue came back!
So I want to know if there is a way to downgrade my watch to 7.1.1 and upgrade it again and hope that wifi would work!
And also is there anyway to flash custom rom over bluetooth?(cause there is no wifi)
Really need help working this out and unfortunately Im not a developer to see if I can read any logs or anything...

hello, very strange your problem, you should try to ask in the ROM section, maybe someone will deal with your problem, sure it is not a hardware problem?
