Don't just post on XDA saying you have the issue too. Doing the above contributes to a possible solution being developed.

Haven't got April update. What version you guys using?

April 1st patch
The newest today's update is only 173.4MB, but what's in it? I don't see any specific descriptions beside the security patch.
Now, what about that ASD4 update(in OP post above, 244.55MB) I've never gotten that one in the US, they mention camera software improvements in there, am I still gonna get it? All the different regions create lots of confusion.

Seems like it was posted today..
Anyone flash it or know what it's for?
https://developers.google.com/android/images
Perhaps a fix for sensor issue?
I'd flash and see but ugh.. I have my phone set up perfectly including Google Pay.. May still do it, I'm sick like that!
i know right i didn't wanna flash it since we are a week away from the October build but will there even be an october build now?

Pretty sure there will be. The C3 indicates it's a hotfix release so that shouldn't impact the normal schedule.
So....did anyone flash it yet? Lol
Got it via OTA toda, 1335 MB on C3.
haven't seen anything different, lol.
Can confirm that this build has fixed the swipe up issue for unlocking not working properly - but still suffering from the screen goes blank when on a call (to ear) and then does not turn on again when viewed unless various buttons pressed!.
Got a new update as well
I got it this morning. I have not noticed anything new.

I have that issue, and I'm still on 9.0.
I was chatting with the Pixel team yesterday about something unrelated and was trying to get any info about the C3 update. Instead, I got very evasive runaround about how there is no approved communication. He didn't act like he didn't know what I was talking about but just wanted to change the subject since he wasn't going to say what the "hotfix" was for. I guess this their new strategy after still not disclosing the difference between .19 and .20.

Yeah, they used to be very up front with what the differences are in the builds. Usually they were carrier specific. If I had to guess, this new update fixed some huge security issue that they needed to fix ASAP before the bad guys could take over our phones.

Just take the OTA like good "sheeple." Don't worry about when it will get there, and of course you'd never need to root and block all of those glorious ads.
I flashes this new release yesterday and I may say it is big...I'm still going deep into what's new but haven't found anything relevant yet.

Is that the issue of swiping, or the proximity sensor info not causing the screen to reactive during a call?

Proximity.. I wish that while on a call, no other involuntary touch action could activated... Until hanging up or pressing a deliberate action.
Apparently a hotfix for the sensor bug went out 5.5MB for other pixels... (see the stickied sensor bug thread) Makes you wonder if someone made an oopsie in our case?
I noticed my phone a little bit colder after this update.
It's a pretty big update! It's the same size as the official Android 10 image. Weird.
Any of the 10 features that we haven't gotten yet in there? Like the customization app or whatever? New AOD clocks? I can't remember what all else we were supposed to get. I don't have time today to check it myself.
I received the June security update yesterday. It is about 11 MB.
I have not noticed anything different so far.
V11.0.20.0
What kind of difference you would like to find from security update?

You may not notice any fancy new features when you install an Android Security Update, but they're very important nonetheless. Software is rarely ever “done.” It constantly needs maintenance and fixes to keep it safe and secure. These smaller updates are important, as they cumulatively fix bugs and patch holes.

updates are important, as they cumulatively fix "old security" bugs and patch "missed security" holes. There is nothing about performance and kernel, project AndroidONE is dead instead of community.
How come I didn't get the June update yet? Also I didn't get May update and had to download it manually. Makes me feel that I shouldn't get Xiaomi phone in future
After updating to march security patch my fingerprint unlock has an awful delay, wondering if anyone else have the same issue and if there us any known fix.
Already tried removing and re registering the fingerprints,no luck.

Yep same here. If I wake the screen first it's fine (ie as before the update), but now it takes maybe a second to display the screen. Someone posted on Reddit too, but nothing on the issue tracker- hope this can be fixed
I guess i will wait a few days, hopefully the issue get fixed, dont really feel like doing yet another factory reset
Same is happening here.
Anyone else notice the new animation when exiting out of an app? it sucks lol.
Seems like turning AOD on is fixing the delay. Not perfect but works
Same slow here
Also have the same problem too. Wish I didn't install the update now
Yeah, same problem on pixel 4a 5g.
Same here, also my battery life is bad and I'm not heavy user. I have 6h sot.
Did a clean install, and still a delay.

Funny you should mention that. I got tired of the lag today and flashed back to Lineage 18.1.
Has anyone tried the April build to see if fingerprint speed is faster?

Same thing on aprils update , how annoying. It really ruining the feel of the phone.Google really need to step up for bug patching and broken updates
Still the same issue with the build of May ... also, the alarm clock icon is still missing in the notification bar when an alarm has been set. That kinda sucks ...

Where can I find such ROM? I do not see it in the Development section.
September Security updates are up for all currently supported Pixels EXCEPT, wait for it, that's right the Pixel 6a. Google claims that it is coming "later this month".... https://9to5google.com/2022/09/06/android-13-pixel-september-update/
well .. that's not why i bought it...or why i did.
Just as long as they take care of the issues, I'm fine waiting for my 6a to be upgraded.

I had the battery thing, but when I switched back to the Pixel Launcher, the problem has gone away and my battery is lasting two days now, during my normal usage.
I agree and don't mind waiting if they tie up a few loose ends.
If you opt into the beta program, you can get the update. Mine is installing now.
Reporting back. The beta release definitely helped out my FPR response. Thank goodness. I'll keep an eye on battery drain now.
Thank you. Downloading now as well.
I am hoping the phone heating issue and the gps issue get resolved.

Good question. Since the FPR is QPR1 B1 is flawless, at least for a large majority of users, and we still have the August security patch level is there some behind the scenes fixes in the stable Sept patch unrelated to the security issues? Hopefully so. Also did the Sept patch update the Google Play system to October which QPR1 did?

Seems like it to me.
Took me hundreds of presses to add a new FP before, this time I think I had 1 fail to read (big scar though that digit too) while adding 3 prints. Quick testing showed roughly 1 fail to unlock out of about 20 tries, where before it was roughly 1 successful unlock in the same 20 tries.
Edit after 2 days use: While it's lots better, it's not as good as my prior phone, a Moto X4. Some may be user issue (X4 had a dedicated reader EXACTLY where I grab the phone from my pocket), some simple exposure (had the X4 for 4 years, 6a for 2 weeks), but I suspect some is the 6a too.

It's been out less than a week. Google rolls new releases out over several weeks time. I wouldn't worry about it unless the next release comes out before you get the current one.
