I received the June security update yesterday. It is about 11 MB.
I have not noticed anything different so far.

You may not notice any fancy new features when you install an Android Security Update, but they're very important nonetheless. Software is rarely ever “done.” It constantly needs maintenance and fixes to keep it safe and secure. These smaller updates are important, as they cumulatively fix bugs and patch holes.

updates are important, as they cumulatively fix "old security" bugs and patch "missed security" holes. There is nothing about performance and kernel, project AndroidONE is dead instead of community.
How come I didn't get the June update yet? Also I didn't get May update and had to download it manually. Makes me feel that I shouldn't get Xiaomi phone in future

Lol, you ain't the only one.
Move along, nothing to see here. Seriously though, the S7 and S7 Edge are going to get it first. That's pretty clear. So once that happens I'll start looking for it. Until then anything you see is just going to be the regular monthly security patch....which we should be grateful for by the way. Most other manufactures don't seem to take it serously which is a problem in my book.

Nop
Update is for beta testers, general public should see it in a few weeks.
<IRONY>Just can't wait until someone creates the "correct way to force..." thread.!</IRONY>
Or, just a crazy idea: Relax and wait until Xiaomi tech's distributes it properly! That worked just great with Jan 1 update!!
I just hope it does more than just deliver the monthly security patch. Oreo is far from perfect yet

Based on what ?
Btw majority of the people here doesn't realize how OTA works (pretty much the same as miui), they first push update to a small selection of users and beta testers, if there is some bug they don't push it further, until they solve whatever bug. When the update is ready (they can push several updates to a small selection of people, while the majority will wait) they push it to everyone. That was the case with oreo. And that's why you shouldn't force update by any method, then wait peacefully until the update is ready for everyone. Forcing something that isn't 100% ready by methods that aren't 100% safe will result by whining about millions of bugs and bashing Xiaomi for something that is user's fault.

Yes, you are right indeed, but Oreo in Mi A1 is not perfect. I got my hands in the device in january 29th and received the update in the sameday. I did anything to get the update. Sometimes you just gotta accept that one update is not the way it should. But, for what I've seen, the update was even worse and it's quite good now. Hopefully, it'll be even better with the february update.

I didn't say it's perfect (bad camera for example), but it isn't far from perfect, there isn't perfect rom/android. Oreo is good, I can use the phone every day without any issues, and that's the point.
No forced update, received it round 22 of January and still not a single bug found... And I use my phone like crazy as a dashcam, obd2 scanner, photo making and editing, gps, music player and a lot of multitasking....

April 1st patch
The newest today's update is only 173.4MB, but what's in it? I don't see any specific descriptions beside the security patch.
Now, what about that ASD4 update(in OP post above, 244.55MB) I've never gotten that one in the US, they mention camera software improvements in there, am I still gonna get it? All the different regions create lots of confusion.

September Security updates are up for all currently supported Pixels EXCEPT, wait for it, that's right the Pixel 6a. Google claims that it is coming "later this month".... https://9to5google.com/2022/09/06/android-13-pixel-september-update/
well .. that's not why i bought it...or why i did.
Just as long as they take care of the issues, I'm fine waiting for my 6a to be upgraded.

I had the battery thing, but when I switched back to the Pixel Launcher, the problem has gone away and my battery is lasting two days now, during my normal usage.
I agree and don't mind waiting if they tie up a few loose ends.
If you opt into the beta program, you can get the update. Mine is installing now.
Reporting back. The beta release definitely helped out my FPR response. Thank goodness. I'll keep an eye on battery drain now.
Thank you. Downloading now as well.
I am hoping the phone heating issue and the gps issue get resolved.

Good question. Since the FPR is QPR1 B1 is flawless, at least for a large majority of users, and we still have the August security patch level is there some behind the scenes fixes in the stable Sept patch unrelated to the security issues? Hopefully so. Also did the Sept patch update the Google Play system to October which QPR1 did?

Seems like it to me.
Took me hundreds of presses to add a new FP before, this time I think I had 1 fail to read (big scar though that digit too) while adding 3 prints. Quick testing showed roughly 1 fail to unlock out of about 20 tries, where before it was roughly 1 successful unlock in the same 20 tries.
Edit after 2 days use: While it's lots better, it's not as good as my prior phone, a Moto X4. Some may be user issue (X4 had a dedicated reader EXACTLY where I grab the phone from my pocket), some simple exposure (had the X4 for 4 years, 6a for 2 weeks), but I suspect some is the 6a too.
I still does not get September update on my Pixel 6a

It's been out less than a week. Google rolls new releases out over several weeks time. I wouldn't worry about it unless the next release comes out before you get the current one.
"me too" posts aren't helpful
I got my s22 ultra a couple of weeks ago and I installed one UI 5 using Odin. The battery was really bad it would last me max 3h with a full charge. And after the last update the November patch the device is almost unusable. After updating to the November patch the device heats up really badly before it wouldn't heat up even if I was playing any game and playing music at the same time keep in mind I have the Exynos version. The notifications are bugged when receiving a notification and swiping it to dismiss it while the notification sound is playing it will make your volume really low and you can't turn up the volume it fixes itself only if you receive another notification and let it play the sound fully.
Update: Now when using the camera the phone heats up almost instantly and just lags really really bad
Until now the s22 has been garbage.
All is good for me. Try to reset your phone.
Same here, updated it and have not had any issue...
you say you updated through odin did you update with a different model firmware because most exynos models got the update through the phones software update so nif it was different model firmware that might be the problem.
For me, November patch improved battery life over October one
Snapdragon here; November patch lasts longer than the initial firmware.
I dont notice any changes, but overall the battery life has improved.
Actually, battery life is noticeably better. Kinda reminds me of beta 3
all fine here
only oddity is that my phone is still on July Google Play System - even tho most phones are on Oct or even Nov one
every time i check it says is up to date?!
its better if u debloat it, and try to factory reset ur phone

You should maybe Google about what's exactly contained within the Play System update.
There's no such a thing as cosmetic change and if that's so - Your November patch solves the hardcore part and this just adds the cherry on top now, wouldn't it?

But it doesn't add anything. There's a reason why when you update it usual, system way, the update weighs 20mb or so plus the mandatory reboot

Must be an issue with the Exynos model. The Snapdragon had poor/inconsistent battery life for a few charging cycles after the October and November Android 13 updates. After 6 days, it has settled down to about where it was on Android 12. The updates reset a lot of the battery optimization software.

More likely, it is because he's rooted and probably has some crapware installed. From what I've read, the official update from Samsung is a big improvement for both Exynos and Snapdragon models.
