Power button remapper for note 20 ultra - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm using power button remapper on my s20 ultra and it's ok, but on the note 20 ultra it doesn't work well. Any ideas about a particolar trick to make it works or another app to use?
Thanks

I use side actions

Yeah I kind of thought that to after I wrote this drunk thread haha.
But really, so much better that the S pen works with the touch buttons.

I agree.... It was one of the annoyances of the note2 that made me sell it. Come back to the note 3 and the spen activating the buttons is great.

On the flip side, I really miss the ^ & < menu & back gestures from the Note II, hate having to reach down to the buttons. Wish they'd included both.

Let's hope that next year the pen works with the home button too.

Well, it works even now. You just have to press the button with the S-Pen!

Or use Swipe Home Button

I use Button Savior non root (right side, for back button), SwipePad (bottom), Switchr (right side, for fast switching to previous app) and Pie Control (left side) all at the same time. I hate pressing buttons

Hitting back button while writing with pen...

With frustrating results . .. don't suppose there is a way to disable back button while actively writing with the pen? Anyone else running into this? Would appreciate any suggestions. I have been using my script stylus beta.

Root and disable buttons. Or alternatively flip the tablet upside down.

Ugh. I feel dumb for forgetting about flipping tablet over. Thanks
chainfire's root didn't work for me. Waiting for an update.

ScreenShot?

What is the correct method for taking a screen shot?
Power + Home button works
Power+Home doesn't work for me.
Power+Vol Down is what does it for me.

I must of been not pressing hard enough. Volume Down and Power did work.
Volume and home, Does not work
Not sure how this varies, but Power + Home works on my phone, Power + Volume does nothing but adjust the volume. Weird.

What home button? Do you have a HTC One (M8) on Verizon? Mine doesn't have a dedicated home button. Power+Volume down produces a screenshot.
The soft home button. Yeah it's an M8. Just got it Wednesday.

Weird. That just shuts my screen off LOL
I can confirm without a doubt that both methods work. I find its 100x easier to just use power and volume down at the same time.

They got rid of the dedicated menu key years ago. I want to say with the s6. Possibly even the s5. Recents/multi window just made more sense

No idea about after the 5, but long press recents on the S5 brought up the menu.

Then it must have been the 6 that started it. That was the first galaxy I purchased

I'm still on stock (without root)

The keycode for the menu button is still active though and if you're rooted you can use it with the following code:
input keyevent 82
Then just use a pie/gesture/ISAS to launch...or remap another button, etc...
?

You all just solved my issue on the S6...
I used to have a ( : ) on apps that would simulate the menu button. Then I upgraded the custom rom to 6.x.. lost that and couldnt figure out the "Menu Button"
So to answer, just tested. Its Long Press the "Back" button will trigger the menu button.
@Mysticales ? @RuggedHunter I'm not rooted.

Quick screenshot?

FWIW the only way I am able to take a quick screenshot in certain apps (eg Camera) if I have the screenshot button added to my primary nav bar... is there any way to use the Power + Down combo, like on any Android phone, without triggering a creen shutoff (ie Power click takes precedence)? Also for the latter one has to really do gymnastics as this requires the squeeze-push which is not something you can do with two fingers, you have the get a grip on the slab...
For now using two buttons for screenshot is not working, that's why you have to use the button on navbar. They are working on it, that both buttons work together.
But you can also map the edge sense to make a screenshot of long or short squeeze

You can also add this button to your secondary navbar, and swype between those in every App.
