SD bootloader cannot be unlocked, so no custom roms have been developed for the s10e with SD as far as I know.

Hi all,
I have just got a Cubot S600 to try out Android as I have always been a Windows Mobile user.
The phone comes with 5.1 out the box, would it be possible to flash it with 6.0?
Many thanks in advance.

Official update of marshmallow is not released yet for your phone. You can check for updates in your phones settings if you want.cubot hasn't released list of phones to receive the updates either.
You can flash unofficial android 6 custom ROM if it is available
Look it up

Thanks for the reply, I understand that marshmallow is not available.
When I was cooking my own winmo6.5 ROMs I had to only have certain ROMs. I have been out the game a while, would any ROM work, or would I need specific roms ?

You would need device specific ROM or else your phone won't boot.

Hi guys
I would like to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S3 Model GT-I9300 from Android version 4.3 to a newer version. Do you have any recommendations?
I don't have anything important on the phone, so I don't really need any backup.

Root your device, then install a custom recovery then try some of the available custom ROMs for i9300 until you find one that you like and fits your needs/purposes. It's pointless to ask for ROM suggestions, they are all different and not everybody likes the same things. You'll just have to try more than one ROM until you're satisfied with what you have.

Thanks Droidriven
I am new to this so I have limited knowledge of ROM available and what the difference between them.
I have managed to install LineageOS v14.1 Android 7.1.2 so far so good.

You're welcome, Lineage is a good choice as long as they have the bugs worked out, if it has too many bugs for you, try some other slightly older marshmallow or lollipop ROMS from the i9300 forum here, they will probably be more developed and stable, your choice though.

I will, so far I haven't experienced any bug. :good:
Hello,
i am new too oneplus one, i am bit confused. Was cyanogenmod up to version 13.1.2 officially supported by the manufacturer? Later they released an other OS called "OxygenOS" but as i can see, CM was longer supported and had more updates. And it stoped with Android 6.0.1, officially?
So the manufacturer supported 2 OS Versions officially?
Just asking, cause i want to sell my second Oneplus one and the buyer wants an official stock rom. Right now i have it on the latest (supported?) CM 13.1.2.

You're better off with cos13.1.2,just sell your device. And tell him to check XDA if he decides to upgrade to Nougat unofficially.
But is it an official OS which (was) supported by the manufacturer?
Yes, the OPO shipped with COS and got official support and updates up to COS 13.1.2. The software support was up to Cyanogen inc which has now shut down (I mean check the bottom back part of your phone and you'll see the branding).

Newer devices don't have the branding.
OnePlus one sets sold in China came with Color OS instead of CyanogenMod. So these sets did not have the CyanogenMod brand name at the back.
Just install CyanogenOS (not CyanogenMOD). It was officially supported by the manufacturer.
6.0.1 to 7.1.2
My OnePlus One was bought recently with Android 6.0.1 and Cyanogen OS version 13.1-ZNH2KAS1kN. I have rooted it and have been searching for some time to see if there are prerequisites involved before flashing a current ROM (7.1)? One other devices there are upgrade processes but for the life of me cannot find any threads on this subject....

I have been reading Heisenbergs threads for hours, I used his method for rooting but still do not see an answer to my question in them. I just installed [ROM][LineageOS][Android 6.0.1] TugaPower M104.0 and now I have a blank screen guess I'll go back to factory image then...
Hey guys, I am planning on getting the S8+ and Ive been looking around Xda for Roms for it but there are not a lot of them(stable neither) so my question is why are there not so many Roms and how is the future looking? I always root my phones and like to experiment, so should I buy it?
Thanks in advance, Ray
Which s8+ do you have?

If you like testing ROMs go with OnePlus 5T, i'm also thinking about switching.
OnePlus 5T is a good choice if you want to use developer apps and sideload mods, tweaks, roms.. etc.
I think if you go with a Exynos processor S8(international variant) you should be ok, as is it has been rooted fully already.
Check this post out for a list of different S8+ variants.

The Snapdragon processor hasn't been fully rooted like the Exynos version. So make sure you get the right model for your location.

Not that it matters in this case but your statement is not accurate. We do have root and it's stable. What we don't have is an unlocked bootloader which the Exynos version DOES have.

Quite so. If you didn't already do it you could head over to Cross Dev or the S8+ ROM forums and see what's available there.
Presently the vast majority are modded Touchwiz-based ROMs, which are quite excellent and offer great customization/battery life etc. If you are specifically keen on LOS-based (or other non-Touchwiz) ROMs there are very few under development, but it seems like quite a way to go yet.

Snapdragon can't be rooted past bootloader 2. As far as roms go, there are only stock roms, but somewhere on the forum its mentioned about GSI roms, but VOLTE is broken because its always been a samsung issue and not much work being done. I'm sure there are a few people out there working on personal builds, but nothing released to the public that I've seen. (Aside from Exynos)
