Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to go back to Android 10 after upgrading to Android 11.
I tried flashing a Factory Image from google (I can't post links)
10.0.0 (QQ3A.200605.002, Jun 2020)
10.0.0 (QQ3A.200805.001, Aug 2020)
but after I run "flash-all" it completes, and just gets stuck at the google loading page upon startup. Is it because I don't wipe my data? I remove the "-w" in the bat file. Or is it just not possible to go back to Android 10?
Thank you!

EDIT: Can confirm that wiping it lets me downgrade, if you're thinking of doing this don't forget to backup to google drive! =)

So I was late to root my phone and finally get it to where I like it and now I want to upgrade to Pie.
My question is do I download/sideload the latest system image (Jan 2019) or should I start with the first 9.0 image (Aug 2018) and upgrade to the latest afterwards?
Also, I'm ok with re-rooting, but will the process wipe my phone/apps? For the record, I'm on the May 2018 update of 8.1.

I would download the January full system image, boot into fastboot, and flash flash-all bat. Your bootloader is already unlocked so as long as you edit the flash-all.bat by taking out the -w your data won't be wiped.

Great news! And thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure if every image was able to upgrade (8 to 9) or if I needed to do it incrementally.
Hi, I'm thinking about the same. Can I downgrade back to Oreo by flashing an older factory image with flash-all? My bootloader is already unlocked as I use a custom built ROM.
Edit.: Nevermind, I updated and can read that I can downgrade.
Hi
I've oneplus 7 pro with Open Beta 19, I need to install A11, I've tried to install OP4, stable but installation progress stuck at 84% for very longtime,
is there anyway to solve this?
Can I flash it over TWRP?
Probably, try OB1 Android 11 then OB4. If I recall , was the same process with PIE, you need incremental update first.

Thanks for your reply,
so I cannot update directly form OB19 to 11.0.0.2 Stable?
Sure TWRP will work.
Hi there guys,
yesterday i wanted to update from Android 10 to Android 11 stable, the problem is that i accidentaly installe Android 11 Open Beta 3.
Now i tried to manually download the OTA full package for Android 11 stable but it doesn't work, the system doesn't let me install it.
Since I'm out of warranty, would you suggest unlock bootloader, root it and reinstall a clean Android 11 wiping everything?
Thanks!

You can eventually try to wait for anything like OOS 11.0.0.1 etc. which will have newer update date that you would be able to install.
In the end, i decided to unlock bootloader and to root it.
Thank anyway.
After the stable update of android 12 (IV2201_11_C.09) i couldn't go back to 11 anymore. The 'local install' process stops at 16% and fails. There is no advanced option in the recovery menu. It has Reboot, Switch off thats all.
this rollback worked with previous versions. Help me

Unfortunately you're out of luck. There's no current way to downgrade this device from Android 12.
If you guys are not able to access bootloader on amdroid 12 or android 13 ..Follow my guides it works 100% since i have unlocked bootloader and rooted too by magisk
first step
If you are on android 12 then update to android 13 which has been rooled out
OR
If you are on android 13 follow my next step
*NOTE : One who is facing fastboot issue to unlock bootloader or rooting on android 12 and 13 they must have to be on android 13 so try updating your phone by following First step
Second Step
If you have done updating to android 13 then download this android 11 downgrade file..
https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/oplus_ota_downgrade_Rollback.zip
once you have done downloading , paste on internal storage not in any folder .
Remove _rolback from file name if you face verification failed in next step .
Now install it from local install by going to about phone
Now install it And your phone will be downgrading to android 11 which will wipe your all data
Third step
Once downgraded setup your phone and off system update from developer option
*Now you can access bootloader and root you phone by magisk ..No need to install twrp for rooting .
This method can be applied to all OnePlus mediatek device which has same issue
*If you want to root from magisk or unlock bootloader dm me [email protected]

Has someone tried @neilcomrade steps? ...I'm afraid to update to android 13, because in every rollback file, the verification fails....

Hello guys!
Something wrong happened with my blujay, I need ur help...
So here's the complete story:
1) since december I didn't have OTA update, I don't know why, and the system was telling me it was outdated everyday but up to date in the update menu. so I decided to download the latest OTA bluejay-ota-tq1a.230205.002-1ec64b58.zip and apply it.
2) that worked nice, it booted up updated to this version. But proposed me another security update to get me to march 2023 security update.
3) Allright, security update done, but without root. So I donwloaded the full image corresponding to the OTA i made, bluejay-tq1a.230205.002-factory-1b04ccc9.zip, extracted the boot.img, patched it with magisk 26.1, then flashed it through fastboot.
4) this is where things get naughty, I had bootloop. I imagine this boot.img was correponding to my OTA update, but then another update was done, and the boot.img was wrong for this one.
5) I tried to reflash the patched and original boot.img, same. I tried to reapply the OTA, same, still bootloop.
6) I just tried to patch the full image, removing the -w from the flash-all.bat to not wipe my data (the whole point is that I can't loose all that), and still the same, I have a screen from android recovery saying it cannot load the system and proposing me to wipe, which I don't want.
What should I do ? Save me please!!
You updated from the Feb 2023 patch to the March 2023 patch in step 2. You then downloaded and patched the Feb 2023 boot.img file and applied it, with the system being at the March 2023 update. This is where the issue is. You need to download the March 2023 image and flash the boot.img from this. It is possible though, that you are at the April 2023 patch if you did this very recently.
