Can I Flash AT&T firmware onto this Unlocked Model so I can have Wifi Calling and Video Calling???? The Unlocked model above will not allow with an AT&T Sim card installed. What is purpose of getting an Unlocked phone when you cannot do this?? Thanks for a reply.
Title says all.
Thanks.
Custom ROM no, since the bootloader is locked you can't flash a custom recovery or modify the boot.img which is required for ROMs.
Root is possible but a bit different for US models devices, you might need to check the US Snapdragon specific subforums as this is mostly Exynos (international)

oh is it possible to unlock the bootloader? i also have the G930U, which model has support for custom ROM, just got it new so I can refund it if needed and swap for a different phone
It's not possible to unlock the bootloader on any US model (e.g. G930V/U/T/A/P). The G930U may be carrier unlocked, but the bootloader is still locked.
If you want ROM support you'll need a G930F/FD (international) or the G930W8 (Canada)

I have a Tmobile OP7 Pro running Tmobile version of Android 10. The phone is sim and bootloader unlocked. Are the steps to convert it from tmo to international firmware still the same for me (with unlocked bootloader) as mentioned here ?(https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/help/how-to-convert-tmobile-op7-to-t3935947)
Hi I will be ordering a one plus 7 pro
t-mobile unlocked and hate the t-mobile firmware so I want to install the international firmware and was wondering if doing so would remove the unlock from the phone making the phone locked to t-mobile

What is it about the T-Mobile firmware that you hate? IIRC the only difference is international enables dual sim

I just hate the boot logo, bloatware and I heard the international firmware runs alot smoother plus gets updates quicker
Are you asking if the bootloader would become re-locked, or if the SIM would become carrier locked? Are both currently unlocked?
Once you are carrier unlocked you are always carrier unlocked. But flashing international wont make you carrier unlocked. You have to have someone on the T-Mobile side do that for you.

So would the Amazon renewed oneplus 7 pro tmobile gsm unlocked be permanently carrier unlocked?
MSM tool will not relock the sim. The lock is in the efs. And this is not flashed by MSM.so you are good to go. But before flashing ,if you are scared it will lock, you can use qfil or edl.py with the firehose programmer elf .and make a backup of modemst1 and modemst2. With these 2 copyed in the unlocked state ,u will be ok. I have locked and unlocked the sim many times for testing by having backups of locked modemst1 and 2 and unlocked. U can go back and forth all u like.alway back these up ,they will only work for your device. With the same HW I'd.
Hello,
If I recently purchased a flip 3 and am on a payment plan, tmobile won't unlock my phone unless I pay it off in full. Is it possible to flash the default software of the unlocked model so I can get updates from Samsung and still have my sim work? I'm not switching carriers, do I need the tmobile version of firmware for data/phone to work if the phone isn't unlocked?
Thanks

Yes, you can flash the unlocked version of the firmware and your phone should work/receive updates as if it was an unlocked unit. Worst case scenario you can just reflash the T-mo firmware and go back to what you currently have. Good info here:

(WIP, files are currently processing and uploading) For those who aren't already aware, F711U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Z Flip3. The F711U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM...
