problem with ethernet on android - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hello..
I have a POCO phone F2 Pro and I need to be able to connect through ethernet and set Static Ip for ethernet connection..
I am using a usb c to ethernet adapter. WHen i plug in the ethernet cable on the adapter I have internet without problems out of the box.. I didn't need to do anything as it worked directly..
The problem is that once i connect the ethernet cable to my phone, I don't see any ethernet option in the settings menu of the phone.. I have searched all over the phone settings, i have enabled developer options but nothing...
Please could someone help me on this ? How can i make the ethernet option appear on the settings menu so that I can then set static Ip on the ethernet connection???
THanks a lot..

noone knows anything ???

Ethernet app or driver

Ethernet activation?

I have a UG802 and would like to connect it via a wired connection for better speed than what I get with wireless. I have a USB/ethernet adapter, but ethernet is not detected when I plug it in, even though the ethernet light is on on the adapter. I tried manually switching on ethernet in the settings, but the switch just slides back to "off" after a second, presumably because it is not detecting the network. Any ideas?
Thanks
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? I tried another USB/Ethernet dongle, same result. I have no idea if there is a "right one" or not or how to find it if there is a "right one."

Turn off wifi
if it a pre built system and you just installed windows there should be a mb driver cd that have the Ethernet drivers on it. if not you have to go to your mb vendor web page or the ethernet vendor web page and download the drivers if there not installed yet.

[Q] docking station and the ethernet connection

i just got the surface pro docking station and hooked it up , everything is working except the ethernet . it first finds connection then starts to indentify and then it keeps saying unidentified network. i have updated the latest surface ethernet adapter driver. whats going on?
i can connect with an usb to ethernet adapter no problem and my other comps are also connected so its not my router/ modem . its the ethernet connection on the surface pro docking station. ps, the usb to ethernet adapter works while plugged into the docking station.
Does it physically function while claiming to be an unidentified network? My laptops ethernet port also labels it as an unidentified network but works perfectly fine.
no i can not connet to the net via the rj45 connection but like i said when i connect with the rj45 connected to a usb adapter the internet works fine , i dont know what i m missing here, i figured, plug the rj45 connector in and it would connect. what has the usb adapter got that the docking station ethernet connector dosent.

Internet connection via USB OTG

To begin with, hello to you all on the forums!
I have a question and I would appreciate any suggestions on how to progress.
I have a Z1 Compact (D5503) that I would like connected to Internet via RJ-45 and a pretty much standard Wi-Fi router (with ethernet outs, of course).
What I decided to do was get an OTG cable, a USB ethernet adapter, and just plug it all in together: router -> RJ45 -> ethernet adapter -> OTG cable -> D5503. That didn't work. I thought maybe the adapter is lacking power, so I used a USB hub - that didn't work either (with 2 different hubs and 2 different OTG cables in all possible configurations). The phone seems not to be aware of the ethernet adapter at all (when trying with a hub, it's either only charging, or charging and informing about a PC connection, depending on what I plug the hub into - but the adapter seems not to be detected at all, or I'm unaware of where to look; no internet connection either; without a hub, nothing happens when I plug in).
I have seen on this forum, and some other places on the net, that such connection should be possible. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing some steps in the phone configuration?
I know I can just use Wi-Fi for that connection, and I will if there's no solution - I would much prefer a wired option, however.
Thanks in advance for all your help!

USB-C to Ethernet adapter for Mate 9

Hello all,
I'm looking for a USB-C to Ethernet adapter for the Mate 9. I've been searching online to no avail. Can't find one guaranteed to work on Android 7.0. Any suggestion?
Thanks
I've got a Belkin one permanently plugged in on my desk, I'll plug it into my Mate 9 tomorrow and let you know.
Can't see any way to configure it anywhere, and the only indication it's working is a tiny indicator in the status bar, but it does indeed work. Can browse the web and access network shares while in airplane mode.
Thanks, I will give it a try.

Thought I would give it a try. It works perfectly. You do have to put the phone in airplane mode just like you said.

Literally just plugged it in, and within moments it received an IP address and was connected.
Just tried it with my P10 Plus, same thing.
USB-C to RJ45 using phone as uplink via cellular to wired client
Just wondering about operation in the reverse direction. Would anyone be so kind as to try it with their USB-C to Ethernet dongle for me?
My use case is to have the phone connected to cellular data, and share the internet connection to a wired computer connected to the RJ45 port.
thanks
Neil
Is there a solutions ?
I connect my Mate 9 over ethernet but i have no connection.
Airplane Mode is enabled.

Hey, did you find out anything about this, I want to do the same thing
Not sure if you can, but wouldn’t it just be easier to do it over WiFi with hotspot? A USB WiFi adaptor for the computer is really cheap if it doesn’t have one.
