When I'm on Wi-Fi i set the wifi call on wifi network preferences, but for some reason the preferences switch to cellular network, any ideas how to set and keep on wifi network ?

It looks like my TC is using HSDPA network (about 100k/hour) even during the time I am connected via wifi. Is that a normal behaviour, or can I force it to automatically disconnect HSDPA while using wifi?
It depends on how you setup your routing.
If you have your wifi network set as your "work / business" network and hsdpa as your internet access. It'll ofcourse route all trafic over hsdpa.
Check your wifi connection and set the appropriate network type. This setting is done for every access point. It's not a global wifi setting afaik.
The wifi connection is setup as internet, so that is not the problem.
What I find is that both wifi and 3g are active. I can turn off 3g by turning off data connection in the comm manager, leaving me with the sole wifi connection (and internet access of course). However, as soon as the TC goes to sleep it will come back with both 3g and wifi. What I found also is that it is quicker to initialise the HSDPA connection than to wifi one.
Is there a way to force it to check it for wifi connection first, and then only connect to HSDPA if no wifi is available?
Sorry, that I don't know.
And I can't be bothered by it here in NL. As we've got flatrate utms/hsdpa here with a number of providers.
At home I only turn on Wifi if the umts/hsdpa connection is instable.
after repair of my diamond i get rom 1.93.831.1.
Now i don't have the option to define my wifi network as hidden ssid.
so, whenever i set then router to hide the ssid i can't get connection to my wifi network, if i unhide the ssid - connection is ok.
any help please ?

Wifi hot spot means to broadcasting capability, i.e in case of a router it has hotspot which broadcast the network. router only connects devices to it's network or gateway. router dont use this wifi to get connected to another network. because it is impossible to do broadcasting and also to receive another broadcast from another device using only one gateway.
So if you are connected to a network using wifi then how you will be able to broadcast or create a wifi hotspot??
May be I made you understood..
I love TMO wifi calling because the cell signal at my house is really spotty being blocked by hills. The problem I have is that wifi calling has to be manually turned on every time. If I am out running around and forget to turn off wifi calling, the phone would try to connect to public wifi which I don't want to do. Does anyone know of an app that would automatically turn on wifi calling when connected to a specific network then automatically turn off once the connection is lost? Basically I am looking to have wifi calling only when I am home.
Hello,
My wifi sometimes does not connects automatically.
In the wifi settings, I disabled the "kepp wifi on" setting, because I do not need continouos connection. Bit when I wake up the phone, it ahould connect to the wifi network, sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesn't. Of course, network is the same home network. In the wifi settings I see the available wifi access points, but I have to click on the network to connect. But sometimes, it connects automatically when I wake up the screen
