Hi everyone,
Just had my fold 2 delivered at 7.30am this morning.
Opened it up and dissatisfied with the screen protector. As you can see from the photos it doesn't go across the whole screen, is this normal?
Also they say get Samsung to take it off, why? My fingernail goes straight under it.
Surely this has been fitted incorrectly?
T
Anyone had this?
Edit, how do you add photos? Mine is on my phone and not an online link.
It doesn't sound like it was applied correctly. I would call Samsung.

Nope, no sign of the add atachments, maybe because its a new account.
Anyways, I just took the screen protector off as it was marked on the corner and across the side of the screen by about 3/4mm at first I thought there was an issue with the screen and a line a dead pixels. The screen is so much clearer with tge screen protector off.

i am not sure if its really a screen burn, but a few marks on screen i could be wrong
Could you take a picture of your screen? To determine if it is burn in. Can't imagine because of would require to display the keyboard several hours if not longer.
It has like marks on the screen ,I changed covers it got reduced
Is it like scuffs on the screen it's self? Maybe from a case or something using against the screen? If you had a screen burn image left it would look roughly faint yellowish and cloudy, if it's not like a faint image of a icon or something along those lines.
Lol I have the same thing. The entire keyboard got burnt in and the WhatsApp logo. Extremely visible on white backgrounds. Happens when you put the S6 to full brightness and leave it on for a night or so. It is safe to carry, but dont expect the screenburn to go away
Here's the burn in on mine. Sorry the picture is not the best, I had to use an old Nexus 5 to take it. It was like that when I bought it. The lady that sold it to me owned it for a year and a half.
I'm a lot more careful about leaving images on the screen that will burn in. I even change my dock icons regularly.
I 've been using my new phone for a couple of days, when i suddenly noticed a scratch on my screen while i was watching a video and the light wasn't reflecting normally at one specific spot.
I have no idea how that scratch got there, as i have been VERY careful with it. It is not a very big scratch, but i am very upset after having an expensive item damaged in its first days of use.
While searching the internet for ways to fix it, i came across "screen protectors", which i had never heard of before. I also read some tips about having the scratch "removed" with toothpaste or baking soda. However, i do not want to make things worse by applying this homemade material on my screen.
As i was examining the screen, i noticed something that looks like a membrane on my phone's screen. I can't give you a direct link to a photo/video because of this forum rules (not allowing users with less than 10 posts to post external links), but you can see a photo of my screen at imgur . com / 64SXzhB and a video at streamable . com / zk6zw.
Is that a pre-installed screen protector or am i effed? If it is in fact a screen protector, can i remove it and replace it? What should i replace it with and how can i do that?
If need be, would the toothpaste, baking soda tips have any chance of working on my screen?
Thank you very much!
It should be a pre-applied screen protector. Normally, the screen don't have the little "holes" on the internal camera&speaker. I can't tell you if it's a normal screen protector or a glass one, try to apply pressure on the border of the screen with nail and you should see air come under the protector.
The phone come with one on it I dropped my phone when carrying shopping (it fell out my pocket) straight on to a road face down and there was a car coming so I had to slowly slide it on the tarmac it was full of scratches but I took the screen protector off and it was find underneath I suggest you invest for a mid range screen protector it can really save your phone's screen

It is a factory fixed plastic screen protector ,you can remove it.
I got same protector in my box
Since last week I was noticing bubble /color peeling off from inside near left top on my screen, I ignored in the beginning, I had tempered glass installed that's why I didn't notice much , but I removed tempered glass to see what happened and it seems weird. Attaching images please tell me if anyone can figure out why this happened and if I need to worry for display.
* it's from inside, not outside.
My screen started to peel off. Mine is below the home button and is getting worse i just dont have the time and money to replace the screen. But it sucks. See video below its the same as that.

I started looking at my phone and it looks like the left side of screen has more black bezel than the right. I will post pics later today. Really upset if this is true. With the 6T I had an issue and the RMA experience is horrible. Post pics of your side bezel so I can compare. Post with case on and off.
I was looking at mine, sorry i cant post a pic. what i think you might be noticing is that the factory installed screen protector is just the tinniest bit to the right. at least, thats what i notice on mine. you cant see it unless you really examine it closely, but the bezels are definitely the same on both sides.

It's seems to be really noticable with white background. Or maybe it's the stock case that cut uneven. Put on your stock case and see if one side of the phone shows more bezel. I am using the clear stock case and that might be the issue.
you might be right. best test i could think of was hiding the navbar, then going into an app where theres a text input box on the bottom. this way, you can compare the curve along the box

This is the best pic I can take off the screen not aligned. Not sure if you can tell but with the bright sunlight you can see where it's misaligned. Left side is off by a bit.
I see what you're talking about, but I do think it's the stock case as well (i'm still using the stock case) and not the phone, because when I take the case off and look at the actual bezel of the phone, it's the same
Looking at it with the sun directly shining on the screen. You can see the AMOLED is slightly shifted to the right.

It was. That's why I sent it back.
If you forward the the 6:10 mark you can see the AMOLED screen is not glued to glass. This issue I have can become very common.
find out when I install my screen protector and pull it out for the third time, it's very sticky
[deleted]
It's more sticky than the Samsung fold 2 or 3 factory screen protector. Wouldn't have a problem screen lifting.

Nope everything is fine. Only issue is finding a screen protected that would fit perfectly. Most are slightly to big, leaving a air bubble every time you close next to every edges and will leave a line across the screen which never go away. I bought over 20 screen protector used about now 9 found what fit now and line goes away.
