So I am having this problem when I make a call that the other person cannot hear me at all. I receive calls perfectly and this happens only if I am the caller. Also, it happens only on mobile network with Volte active, I can make calls over Whatsapp and other apps normally.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Me device is Poco f2 pro with the latest firmware by the way.
Are you on MIUI.eu by any chance?
Hi,
I have the same call problem on my POCO F2 Pro. I can't say it only happens when I'm the caller. It happens if I use the phone or over BT so microphone should not be the problem.
This silence is about 10s long and then it works again. It can repeat or not on the same call. There is no rule.
The only thing I noticed is that when this happens you can't hang up or put the call on hold. Dialer/phone app problem?
Phone is 8G/256GB version and ROM version is 12.0.2.0(QJKEUXM).
I have same issue exactly ,. The only way is to disable VoLte.
If u find another solution inform me please,. I had to switch off the volte to fix this permanently

I am on EU rom .
Have same issue.
Is there a fix ?

Any solution?
Thanks

I have the same problem. As it seems, Google Phone (Dialer) is to blame. Uninstall updates for the Phone app, so go back to version 42. Please report here, if it helps.
Hello guys.
I've been facing the same issue for the past two days. I'm using poco x3 indian version which doesn't have NFC. This problem can be temporarily solved. For a permanent fix, you gotta approach service centre for bug fix. The solution for this problem for the time being is as follows
1. Switch off all wireless connectivity other than mobile data.
2. Go to settings and switch off VoLTE(if you have kept the VoLTE on).
3. Make a call from the mobile.
4. While the call is in progress, again go to settings and go to VoLTE.
5. While staying in the VoLTE settings screen, hang up the call from the floating phone app icon(any other way to hang up the call is ok for this).
6. As soon as you hang up the call, switch on the "use VoLTE" option.
7. Try making a call with VoLTE on and check whether the earpiece and mic are working well.
This helped me solve the issue.
Please make sure that you switch on the VoLTE suddenly as you hang up the call and make sure it got switched on.
Please respond if this worked for anyone of you. Thanks.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone is experiencing this weird hang up. When I try to make calls, it automatically ends my call without any rings. I keep trying to call and it keeps ending right after it dials.
I had to restart my phone to finally get it to work. It has happened twice to me now.
Same exact issue here. Rebooting sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Tried uninstalling Google Voice, same issue. Annoying as heck.
Same issue here, on T-Mobile. I exchanged my original phone because I was having radio issues (phone would not connect to the mobile network), but this problem seems to have carried over. Phone is set to use WiFi calling, I'm wondering if there is a handover issue when I leave my home wireless network.
I'm on T-Mobile as well, in north Dallas area. I do not have mine set to do WiFi calling, as it is guaranteed to drop your call when you leave your house (happens every time to me, so now I don't bother with WiFi calling).
This instant "Call Ended" issue is separate.
Yup, happened to me earlier, i had to turn the phone off for 15 minutes. Im on t-mobile
Solution!
I believe I have figured out how to fix this. Go into Settings, then More..., then make sure Wi-Fi Calling is on, then click on Wi-Fi Calling then make sure you have Cellular preferred selected. After I did this, I was able to make calls with Wi-Fi on or off. Hope this fixes yours too.
Same issue here. Call hangs up right after i hit dial. Tonight even resetting the phone twice didn't solve. Finally after 20 minutes I was able to make a call. So frustrating as I had an important conference call I needed to be on. I ended up texting a few people in the call, and my texts were successfully received, just couldn't call out. So frustrating, but comforting knowing that I am not alone. Think I might return this phone as this is the 5th time this issue has occurred and I've only had the phone for 6 days.

I have same issue. I turned off VoLTE and problem gone. Hope this helps.

Sorry, that is not a fix. I've used that configuration and still ran into the instant call ended problem. Thanks for the suggestion though.

VoLTE (voice over LTE) could actually be the problem - that is a setting that comes pre-enabled and I never disabled it. Makes sense to try disabling it and see if it happens again.
I'll report back in a couple days whether the issue happens again with VoLTE disabled.
Man I really like this phone, but the call ending and camera issue, I had to return it. Damn you sony!

The call ended issue hasn't happened to me since disabling VoLTE. Though I did get a call from my wife when she got off work, which when I swiped to answer, my phone rebooted.. that was fun.

It only happened to me once. Rebooting had no effect, but after turning off LTE everything worked. Makes sense that it would be a VoLTE issue.
you can try fiddling with the network mode settings in the more wireless/network option. the t-mobile rep. got it working again after switching the network preferences from LTE Preferred to GSM. That got calls working again. I believe I switched it back to LTE afterwards and I'm not experiencing any more problems with that error.
Same here. It was totally random as to when and how long it would automatically end calls.
VoLTE settings made no difference. Eventually the problem would return.
I just replaced it at the TMobile store.
Problem Solved!
So, I was having this same problem and reading this forum, I discover that I just need to change the network mode
Go to settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Network Mode
And it probably its marked LTE (only).. Just change it for LTE(preferred)/WCDMA/GSM
I hope it can help you
I have HTC One M7 with cm12.1 and I'm having this issue too!
Hi. I am with HUAWEI WATCH 2 and I enabled the option to talk (make/take a phone call) from the clock. If I answer the call from my mobile phone, it takes about 10 seconds for the call to "switch" to the mobile phone and at that time I can not hear it and the other person doesn't hear me. Can I fix it? Most people just say "hello hello" and hang up.
there is a big bug with this watch, i had to return my Xperia because a normal answer was mute while watch was connected.
i'm using it as standalone watch for now, sometime i connect just to sync data, that's it, lot of money wasted.

I would update everything whats possible to update and then try again. If SIM would be involved, it might act as a redirection.
In case of Bluetooth connection I guess, the phone is using watch in similar manner as Handsfree over BT (Button, Mic, Speaker). Try to test if handsfree set does not have the same problem - in that case its issue of the phone, else its watches.
If the problem remains, I would either use the watches to take calls or to disable the feature completely.
Hello,
I was wondering if Call Recording is working for anyone with the US version of this phone. It is there, but whenever the call ends and I go into the call recording folder, I do not find anything in there.
If I do a simple voice recording, it works. But call recording does not work at all.
Thanks.

Because As per US government telecommunications law you can not record calls. To record call you need to root ur phone or change the rom which is compatible in us

Sorry for the late response. The Phone is rooted, but I still cannot record any calls. Is there anything special I need to do once I have it rooted to enable the call recording?

Native call recording ???
For the huawei mate 20 series we have an apk (from the chinese mate 20) and we have native automatic call recording. (Phone must NOT rooted) and its working perfect and automatic.
For the Zenfone 6 this not exist ? Or any other trick/idea ?
Greets, Peter
If you are rooted, you can use skvalex's call recorder (together with its magisk module). It is working for me.
Hi there,
I've been searching the internet for someone with a similar problem but nothing helped me.
My phone : POCO F2 Pro 8GB version
What's happening?
The phone functions normally except for text messages. Most of the time they are just stuck on sending . I've had some success by clearing all data from Google Messages app , uninstalling updates and rebooting the phone but this is just a temporary fix (sometimes works for 20 minutes and then stops but most of the time it just doesn't help).
Things I tried:
- Changed the SIM card
- Put another SIM into the phone from a different carrier (worked but I only tried it for like 10 minutes)
- Tried a different messaging (Textra) , this worked for a limited time.
- Looked for anything off with the SMS Center Number but it's set correctly
What I noticed :
When logging into Mi Account, it tries to send a verification message but always fails . I logged out completely from the account but nothing.
I know it's not from the carrier since it worked fine with my old phone (S9+).
Could this be hardware related?
Thank you very much
Did you try to move SIM from Slot 1 to Slot 2, and then back? Redmi Note 5 had this issue for me, from time to time I had to change slots...
So far, on PocoF2 I don't have any problems with SMS.

This might be a different topic altogether ... I have strictly this topic, I can not activate my SIM card with MiCloud services. To activate it, the SIM tries to send a SMS to a +44xxx number and my carrier does not have a commercial relationship with +44xxx network, so the SMS is restricted by my carrier and not sent. Other than that, my SMS sending/receiving works fine.
Update : look like my phone sends texts normally without any problems to specific numbers like my work phone
Hi. I have the same issue. The problem is existing only when the VOLTE service is enabled. Try to move on 3G only or just stop Volte under 4G and it will be ok. Unfortunately Xiaomi are using some specific technology for volte sms sending and the your network provider does not support it. The phone is trying to send SMS through SS7 instead of SIP protocol when VoLTE is enabled. I'm trying to find a hidden menu where I can eventually switch or choose a protocol but without success.
I have the same problem too. did you find the solution?
Disable the chat feature in the messages app. That worked for me.
unfortunately it does not help, only after turning off the volte and restarting the phone it starts sending

Heyy man!!! Really appreciate your help for this fix!! I can send sms now if I turn off volte!! But that's too much to lose for just sending a text message... please update us if you find any permanent solution for this!! Respect+++++
Device: Poco X3 (indian)
Hi, i just upgraded my phone from vivo y19 to Xiaomi Poco x3 Pro. One thing i noticed about this phone is that, it works fine in almost every department except for one thing. The SMS messaging. I notied that whenever i send sms to some one, it takes too long to send and the result is they keep receiving my text multiple times. Sometimes 10x somtimes 12x, and its really annoying especially when i send sms to my higher ups at work. My network carrier has good connection, all apps are updated, even the firmware is up to date, but the problem still persists. I already tried using 3rd party sms app, hoping to fix the problem but its still the same. Already tried factory reset but the problem is still thesame..
anyone having the same issue? Im kinda frustrated lately because of this..
I have different issue on Poco M3. SMS works except that *some* incoming messages are eaten by MIUI and never arrive in inbox. Have disabled chat option and spam protection, tried with Textra too. Biggest problem on that issue: it is not reproducable, every time we try make some test it works. Have disabled VoLTE now, not sure it has any effect

This is not the right place to post, the problem may be similar but the phone is different.
There is a thread for your phone here or here .
if you want help it is necessary to give basic information such as rom etc ...
And the first thing to do before tinkering is to reset the phone.
I don't think phone model matters as this is some issue with MIUI 11 and 12 (also on Poco F1 and M3)

Not the same firmware.
Hi there. I have a Onplus 8 (IN2013) and for some reason when talking on the phone sometimes the incoming conversation breaks up so as to make it unintelligible. I ask the caller to call me back and the same problem happens. When I asked the caller to call on my lady's Oneplus 6 it worked fine.
I use T-Mobile with both VoWiFi and VoLTE enabled. The Oneplus 6 is exactly the same. The problem occurs only on and incoming phone call. It doesn't happen when using Google Duo or similar. The weird part is that only my phone is affected, no others.
Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? Is there any way to fully reset the connection(s) to see if that helps?
Thanks,
