When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the OnePlus 8T's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.

It sleeps after 30 mins when i sleep
Yes, mine too sleeps after 30 mins.
Standby drain varies between 0.5% to 1.5% per hour. Some nights it's more as things gets uploaded/updated/backup and such happens.
Following stats are from my last night's usage via AccuBattery app.

Usually it's around 0.5% with Dual SIM (both running VoWiFi) & 5 GHz WiFi running.

Well, yes it is normal. battery saver mode only works when the phone is idle. When you are playing games and using navigation it tends to nullify any benefit you would gain from those apps. Considering that dead trigger is more graphic intensive than subway surfers, and that you were playing it for two hours, I would deduce that that's where you used up most of your battery.
but i only played 2 hours !!! and my battery was unplugged only 6 hours ago ! what do you advice me to stop using deep sleep battery saver or to stop reducing cpu with setcpu ? or to keep my actual settings and do you have an advice to preserve the battery while i'm playing thank you
Last night I was streaming movies using showbox and mx player. Nothing disabled and noticed how good my battery was. 6 hours SOT with 35 percent left over.

A part of most tests performed on the S6 for battery endurance are done by streaming a video with a set amount of brightness (probably on the lower end). On most tests, the S6 gets 10+ hours of battery. Sounds fair that after 6 hours of streaming videos you can still get a decent percentage of battery remaining. While watching videos, the processor sits on the lowest (or lower) frequency of its set, so it consumes less power than when browsing (multiple touch inputs and load from the browser) or doing other activities. Getting 4+ hours of SOT on daily use usually requires excelent signal strength, disabling location and other -sometimes- useful services and limiting apps than sync constantly.
I have a new s6 being shipped to me this week but I'm hesitant to swap bcuz the new one might not have as good battery. Got a couple scratches on the aluminum on this one when I was drunk... Even though the case hides it it bugs me knowing they are there.

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the before depleting the battery.

This is my usage today.. I'm on 50% brightness and Wifi from 8am-5pm and then LTE till just now... Mostly reading Reddit today and had about 40 mins or seeing videos and YouTube.. Really not impressed and lost on what to do to improve battery life..

How else is everyone else getting on with their sot?
Horrible. Switched back to mate 20 pro
Mine was having a maximum screen on time of 5 hrs and 30 mins on FHD+ display resolution. With the recent update, the battery life is improved to 7 and half hrs S.O.T with QHD+ display resolution. I'm quite satisfied now!
Love my SOT.. Best ever.. Everything to the max
I get 11 jours SoT on average. I bought my phone in Seoul, with 4500mAh battery capacity.
I have 11 SoT usually, very happy with performance. The negative point is the actual capacity is 4300mAh rather than the advertised 4500mAh
one ui 2.0 screen on time menu sucks though
I was wondering if your Zenfone 7 has a high heat when charging the battery, mine is always at 40/42 ºc in normal use (No playing game).

Hey man, I dont know why nobody answered. Dont worry about it, that is normal for a charging phone. Mine gets warmer too. You should check out a Samsung with Exynos if you wanna get scared )
This is normal.. cant get around it.. its part of the way the technology allows fast charging..
Try charging from 40 - 65% maybe 80% if really needed. Simply make more frequent smaller charges not at the low or especially high end.
Li's love being used in this way.
Heat and high cell voltage kill Li's.
I don't leave my 10+ go above 100F and in fact it automatically stops charging at 102 F.
I fast charge all the time like this and only if it gets into the 90's does charging heat become an issue.
If it is hot I use a damp rag and/or fan to help keep it cool.
Do not charge if battery temp is below 72F as it can cause Li plating which will permanently degrade the cell. Never charge below 32F.
Hello everyone. I wanted to know if your devices also work at this temperature with normal-moderate use. From basically just chat apps, messaging, Binance app, Instagram and little else.
The screen feels relatively hot. And although it is nothing that prevents you from using it and the battery lasts very well, I wanted to share the temperature values of my cell phone and compare them with yours.
I live in Maracay, Venezuela. And at the time of the captures the local temperature was 31 °C

That's ok. After ambient temperatures exceed 100F* or battery temperature is 101 F cooling should be used.
Use a fan and/or damp microfiber cloth to cool it. Optimize it so there's no unnecessary apps running in the background including any cloud or social media apps.
Shut it down if the battery reaches 102F. Charge to 72-80% to extend battery lifespan. Use frequent small charging cycles instead of charging to 100%.
*The Fahrenheit system is much more applicable to actual temperature measurement in normal day to day living.
