pru sir

Whoa.... awesome. :highfive:

testing it now

Sweet!
Does anyone know if the Google Home power menu controls work?

No need vendor before flash rom?

In the telegram channel it says "based on MiUI vendor" but in the OP at the top here you mention to wipe vendor (never ever a good idea) and you don't mention to flash MIUI vendor. I believe that's going to get a lot of people into some trouble trying to boot a ROM without a vendor installed.

As bdwilk said, it's not even a good idea to wipe it. Just wipe system, dalvik/cache and data, flash the latest MIUI firmware and then flash ROM and gapps.

how to flash RAPHAEL IN?

All those aosp roms manage to have a perfectly (miui like) fingerprint?? Or still you have to press power button then hope that your finger is registered???
I'm not following the aosp world so don't start with search and likes of this it isn't a simple search. Thanks.

La mejor ROM con gran futuro
What an amazing job thanks for the opportunity to test your Rom.
They have a great future and since they have decided to launch with the Android 11 roms it would be very good that they take much more advantages over those that still do not do so and are still stuck in Android 10 their rom is incredible impeccable but like any jewel you have to polish to make it the best of all I have tried many roms and I see a great future for this one if you add the following options:
1) NFC missing.
2) change the animation to one of Google improves the experience and feeling of pure android.
3) Missing floating notification bubbles or floating notification type Messenger.
4) improve transparency example in the application menu or application card it has very solid colors but it would improve the experience if it is a transparent tone, it would also be good to include it in dark mode.
5) improve the shutdown background to make it transparent when you want to turn off the computer, it is horrible that everything turns black.
6) Provide the opportunity to modify the time, for example, put it in the center of the screen on this Mi 9t pro computer, we would like to get more out of the screen, so it would be great if you would allow us to put the time in the center.
7) There is an error when downloading an image and setting it as a wallpaper, the image is distorted, losing quality.
8) Make a single installation complication package so that installing is much faster and easier.
9) add Google animated wallpapers.
10) When selecting the text, the magnifying glass that shows the zoomed text changes to a black tone when passing through the spaces.
11) Implement all those options and you will be the best leaving behind many other roms, do not forget what happened with previous companies, they were left behind and others ended up knocking them down for being left behind, you great advantage, do not forget.

The ROM is currently in Beta and new features or old features need to be ported from older versions. So the features may take a while to get implemented. As for NFC, I'll take a look.

Congrats Papa'!! You're the best! Can't wait to test

For me they aren't available, but as said earlier, this is an early build.
Other thing that I noticed (maybe because of selinux), is that for example 1Password says that there is no Biometric hardware available.

MIUI still has better FOD, although custom ROMs aren't that much behind. It used to be really bad, now it works almost as good as on MIUI.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Pocket lock
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Accidental touch
- Three finger swipe Screenshot
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Device specific features for OP3(T) (List is being updated):
- Oneplus 3(T) custom camera HAL: Resulting in better picture quality than OEM.
- Implemented custom picture background processing leading to very fast shutter speed (OnePlus 3(T) specific)
- Offscreen gestures
- sRGB support (OnePlus 3(T) specific)
- Alert slider customization
- aptX and aptXHD support
Specific device performance and battery optimizations
- Two-Step input boost
- THP usage in kernel and memory allocator
- Optimized task scheduling
- Specific boosting in performance critical scenarios
- Full audio and video offloading functionality
- Custom built performance controller
- Much more
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

Install instructions
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit.
While F2FS is fully supported on all releases, we don't recommend using it on versions earlier than Paranoid Android 7.3.0
Paranoid Android 7.3.0 contains a workaround for the GC issue and makes F2FS usable without concerns if you follow the steps and read the newest
update on this topic on twitter
Arter's recovery is needed if you want to use F2FS. You must use that recovery to format your partitions to F2FS.
It can be downloaded here
We recommend a full wipe.
Flashing order:
1. Back up to PC everything you would need (whole of Internal Storage including and not limited to
Titanium Backup folder, Music, Pictures, etc)
2. Flash TWRP
3a. Format all partitions except the "internal" partition to ext4
3b. If you want to use F2FS, make sure that your internal partition and cache partition is formatted as F2FS using @arter97 's recovery (above)
4. Flash AOSPA zip
5. Flash Gapps zip
6. Flash SuperSu (optional)**
7. Reboot System
** SuperSu 2.79 and earlier is confirmed to fail. 2.82 is tested and confirmed to be working.
First boot time would be about 3-4 minutes on an average.
In case you are encrypted, read on:
8. If you were already encrypted, it asks for a password (pattern or pin), provide and if it goes
through, great and go back to Step 5
9. If you’re stuck, ONLY then read on…
a. If in case TWRP doesn’t accept your password and says ‘Can’t Mount Storage’, you will
have to use FASTBOOT from a PC to go further from here.
b. Assuming you have FASTBOOT working and it recognizes your device, the following need
to be done:
1. fastboot format userdata
2. fastboot format cache
3. fastboot format system
4. fastboot erase boot
5. fastboot reboot
7. Reboot phone into Recovery
8. Wipe individual partitions and change Filesystem to ext4 (Data, Cache, System)
9. Install from Step 5 onwards.

Alert slider is configurable (see attached picture). The display is running in QHD at 90Hz all the time, however I havn't experienced that to be much impact on the battery life (also check the attached pictures here on my typical battery life).

there is a very short flash upon touching the sensor which however doesnt last as long as the unlocking process as dimming is kicking in there. Given everyone is using the same implementation for the fingerprint sensor the TLDR answer would probably be "yes, it is".
Are the speakers more quiet then stock like other AOSP ROMs?
I can not find features. Navigation gestures are there ? Thanks dev for new rom
Tested for an hour
Here's some pics..
Some quick observation
1. No Oxygen gesture navigation option like most other roms offer.
2. No any kind Oxygen features like Dolby atmos or off screen gesture, panel modes, display modes,dc-dimming etc.
3.fingerprint reader is quick and reliable, but flashes issue appear just like most others roms.
4.Ambient display or AOD working fine.
5.Found some minor issues with some substratum theme that refused to be applied and didn't corporate well with rom.
6. If you are looking for tone of customization option this rom is not for you.

As for gestures, see below
5. That's weird. Mind naming the theme so I can look into it?
P.S. You can use the builtin theme Chooser in Settings -> Display too.
6. "ton of customizations is not our aim. Theres plenty of "lets add every feature we can find" kind of ROMs, Carbon is not one of them. We focus on being a performance oriented ROM with just the features you need and would expect in a stock ROM.

AOSP Navigation Gestures are working just fine. I think you mean the OP gestures.
We've been working on OP Gestures for a while (and TBH I kinda forgot about them at some point). The reason they are not included is that the implementations that are being used by ROMs out there all feel a little unpolished and/or have some kind of bugs. We wanted to fix that before merging but just never got around to do that just yet. Maybe in the future. Maybe not. I'm aware its one of the most demanded features right now though.

Google Product Sans Light. The ftf can be found with a Google search and you can use it in the ROM by creating a custom font package on https://fonts.carbonrom.org followed by choosing the font in the builtin font chooser.

Good to know. I went ahead and checked the Havoc sources and discovered that they were using the older OmniROM FOD implementation. Up until 3 days ago. So the question we're left with is: Is your statement still valid on builds younger than the 25th of August. If thats the case please let me know and I'll gladly look further into it.

Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

The only reason you would need to install OOS first is if you're not on the latest firmware, and even then I believe someone packages the latest firmware so you can flash it in TWRP.
AWESOME ROM! THANKS @ZVNexus! Hands down it's smooth! :3
Thank you for maintaining OP3/T
I've been trying several Android 10 ROM since 2 months ago. First thing I notice, PA is smooooth
So far, I only have 1 issue. Since our device use hardware navigation key, it will be nice if there is a setting for that.
Swapping key, long press action, etc
Will you be keeping it maintained with monthly security updates?

Exactly, What roms have you tried and can you give a brief overview and comparison?

That's something I'm working on, but is a lower priority. I have back as left by default because that's what OP does in stock, also Google for their Pixels.
At first sight the Rom feels very smooth, however Pulse notification doesn't work and for my taste it lacks on some customization options (status bar clock, fonts, HW keys menu and so on). I am very curious to look at the next steps.

Just tested Pulse, it works. Could you specify exactly what you mean? As for customization options I am actively working on porting the button customization. So far I have button backlight. Can't comment on fonts or status bar stuff though.
I want to give you some feedback for the ROM
1) Off screen gestures like draw V, O, >, < and || are missing.
2) Could you include an option to mute screenshot sound? It's very annoying to hear the sound everytime.
3) Button light, but I think that you will fix it soon
4) The charging text on lockscreen is very high compared to the two shortcut at the bottom.
You are probably aware of these, but I want to report anyway.
Thank you for this amazing rom and for maintain OP3.
Appreciate the efforts you made.
Up to my experience, both with ambient display on and off, and lift phone activated, by lifting the phone, or by double tapping the display, edge light doesn't show and display just wakes up. I've found no way to let the display show edge light. Thank you for your quick answer.

Whats average battery life and free ram (when no app is running the background)? and does the temperature increase with a little bit of usage?
I can't see ram usage, can't tell you battery life until one more cycle and don't fell any temperature increase, but I can say that never have lag since yesterday

thanks for your reply. I think you can check the ram usage from developer options, there should be able to acess a memory/memory usage panel from there. last thing, does multi window work, if so, do they stay even after opening another full screen one?
When installing i am getting Error 7.
Coming from Havoc OS Pie. Even changed the Recovery from TWRP to OrangeFox.
How do I solve this?
EDIT: After redownloading the file, it does get installed but then boots in to fastboot.
This ROM is very cool. It has the extra settings that I was just looking for. I just hope they keep updating it. Thanks for the effort
Not much customisation and features.
It is comparable with PE10
Just flashed this ROM. Battery charging seems good and game performance is good too. Thanks for maintaining this ROM.

Amazing work, thank you for your support.
Hi, just flashed this ROM to replace my last Pixel Experience (which I had insane lagging issues and some random reboots with) to hopefully get an extra couple of months of life for this device.
Everything works nicely so far!
If I may, could I ask if there is any way to remove the ugly new "at a glance" and replace it with the old one?
If not, is there any chance you would consider adding such option in the future?
Thank you for your great work!!

Hi,
Wi-Fi hotspot appears to have some issues (didn't realize cause I don't really use it luckily).
Bluetooth earphones work just fine though!
Wow, thanks for the rom bro!
What recovery do you recommend? OrangeFox?
Hardware navigation buttons have no backlight. Redundant space at the right side of the side bar. Also it has crackling noise (ring, notification and call) when a Bluetooth headset (media audio) is connected. Can't set different wallpapers for lock screen and home screen. In the dark mode, brightness slider (when turned on in QS Panel) has a white icon instead of the black one (as when settings pulled down completely). In the light mode app drawer has a black search bar.
The beta for Pixel Experience missing fingerprint (Goodix) and lagging a little. How about this ROM? Does it have OTA? Can I update on top of PE or clean install?

If I were you I would opt for a clean installation, my advice. For the imprint I don't know because I'm still doing some backups and later I proceed with the installation
Well, decided to give it a try. Goodix is working ok. OTA is absent. Performance wise no difference with Pixel Experience, not very smooth. Flashed over beta PE, no issues.
I just tried to install the rom too but it doesn't start. He says I need to delete my account data and then I go ahead but he doesn't do anything. He restarts in recovery and tells me the same thing ....
I tried to flash the rom twice but without success
advice?

I'm on TWRP. Just wiped cache, installed ROM and rooted. Unfortunately, can't help with your issue because never encountered it. You can try to install Pixel Experience 12 and then this ROM on top of it, like I did.
Thank you @fissilecore. I solved. The format data must be done. An unkind move, if you are used to doing only the various wips .... You find yourself losing all your files on the internal memory.
I describe how to do for the flash:
1) backup EVERYTHING you need and put it on external SD card or pc. DO NOT STORE ON THE INTERNAL MEMORY because with the format data it will delete EVERYTHING!
2) wipe cache, data, system, vendor
3) flash rom
4) format data
5) reboot
The device works well and very fast. I read that updates are coming out to improve some functions

Thanks dev for your work. How is the Build update procedure?
Don't really like the changes in 4.1. Google Go Camera is replaced by ****ty CM one. Dirac Sound is added but for some reason both in settings and in app drawer, just like advanced controls, cluttering the interface. OTA is present which is nice, though I don't know maybe it's just a reminder. And, most importantly, fingerprint broke which forces me revert to 4.0.
How to fix finger print pixel extended 4.1..
