Hi All,
I have just now received a POCO F2 PRO, and before installing apps and configuring it,
I would to remove the XIAOMI MI Account from the phone, in order to avoid every sort of checks etc.
Could you please advice on this?
Is there someone able to help me ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dearminder,
what do you mean? login to MI account from the phone or in general, from the xiaomi web page?
I would remove the xiaomi account only from this new phone without never logging in on it....but I don't want to permanently delete my xiaomi account because it is used on other 2 devices: a xiaomi MI5 still used, and a MI8 Bricked
that one day should be recovered ... perhaps
Is it possible to do that in your opinion?
Thanks.
Jack
Easy
go here https://us.i.mi.com/
log in
go settings and you see yours devices.
and you keep your account.

I have a Galaxy S7 (old phone) and a Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (new phone). Neither of them are rooted. Is there a way I can migrate my apps *and their data/settings* from the S7 to the Mi Note 10 without having to root them?
Things I already tried:
Helium (I purchased Premium). Didn't work. I could backup some (not all) apps from the S7, but it couldn't see the Mi Note 10 at all.
Mi Mover. The official Xiaomi migration app. This exists in the Mi Note 10 (part of official phone settings now). However, Mi Mover no longer exists on Google Play but I found a recent APK on other websites and installed it on the S7. It seemed like it was working, but it kept disconnecting on the S7 and never finishing transferring a single app.
Smart Switch. The official Samsung migration app. Only supports Samsung phones as destination phone ...
All sort of other apps that claimed they can transfer apps, but in fact most were only transferring the apk.
Would be really grateful for a solution that doesn't involve root.
I had migrated from samsung s8+ to xiaomi note 10 with samsungs smart switch it works.
Not rooted one of them.
Yust on note 10 install smart switch from playstore and go

As I said, smart switch only sends to samsung phones. When installed on the Xiaomi it only gives me the option to be sender, not receiver. I'm not sure you are talking about the same software.

Seriously, you should try it yourself on your Xiaomi rather than claiming it works . It doesn't. You can't receive on Xiaomi. No point insisting.
I have used mi share a Xiaomi app for the data transfer. On the mi note 10 Is preinstalled and for the s7 you can find it on the PlayStore (the title of the app is in chinese, the app itself Is total translated in english)
This the link for the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miui.huanji

I did it as said and worked perfectly.
Anyway figure it out I'll stop with help you don't read what I write ..
Migration from samsung s8 + to xiaomi note 10 via samsung smart switch has indeed succeeded in this, as already reported.
Success even further with your search for a "according to you" reliable person.

I avoided that because it was chinese and couldn't understand anything. I don't have it on my Mi Note 10 though (i'm running MIUI 11). It looked as if it's an app for sharing files. Are you saying it can transfer apps AND the app data&settings? That's what I need.

The app mi mover and It can share the settings and the data from the old smartphone ti the new One. On the mi note 10 the app Is preinstalled in settings/system info/mi mover or simply search mi mover in the search bar of the settings .
Mi mover can move the following item from the old to the new phone:
Contacts
Message
Chat Log
PHotos
Music
Videos
EMAIL
Bookmarks
Settings (*support Partial of the Settings)
Third-party APP
Home APPs layout
Mi Mover and ShareMe are different apps. I already mentioned that I tried Mi Mover (see my 1st post).
Mi Mover worked perfectly to transfer everything (messages etc..) from an S10+ to Mi Note 10.
I tried to transfer using google backup under miui 12, but seems google backup can't find backup on my old phone.
Hi folks,
I am very interested in the P40 Pro, but as many others I am concerned on what will be missing when I would try to get along without GMS.
A few things have not been covered in the many documents and videos I checked, so maybe users already well versed in the Huawei Non-GMS way can help here
- I am using a 3rd party calendar (Calengoo), would this be able to sync to Google calendar without GMS? I specifically use Google calender in sync with my family, would that be possible without GMS?
- I assume all purchases (in-app or Pro versions) are directly linked to Google Playstore, so no way around without it - or is there a way (e.g. with Yalp)?
- access to Google Drive and specifically WhatsApp backups - any luck without GMS?
- syncing of Google Contacts (continously, not just one-time) without GMS - possible?
Please accept my apologies if all this has been answered elsewhere - in that case a short pointer would be much appreciated!
Thanks for your help,
Axel
not sure if you missed my post but everything you need for alternatives is here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p40-pro/how-to/google-alternatives-live-gms-t4081351
now you can make your life easier and just install gms on your phone so you can slowly transition from being without gms so your phone function like what you expect it to be.
Dear xnostra,
Thanks for your reply and the link to your excellent guide which I (of course) have seen and read and it indeed was one of the things that helped me much in understanding have to manoeuvre around lack of GMS.
My questions in the first post are not so much around software functionalities which can be replaced,as your guide indicates!
I was wondering whether some of the syncing (Calendar and contacts specifically) can also be done without GMS, using other apps for contacts and calendar to access my Google account.
Thanks,
Axel

hi sorry to make the answer short all the things you mention will not work without gms unfortunately. thats why as you see in my previous answer i mentioned ``to make your life easier just install gms`` before you install those apps youll need to install gms otherwise they will not work as expected.
I really really want a P40 Pro and could quite happily replace most of the things I use Google for (I was iCloud anyway for a long time) The 2 biggies though that I believe cannot be properly worked around are Google photos and Google pay.
It is really frustrating as I am very disappointed with my (Exynos) S20+ and the Pixel still falls short, the P40 is overwise terrific. I am actualluy thinking of picking up another P30 pro instead but then as I uderstand there are no guarantees that google support will remain on that either?

p30 pro is not affected by the ban it will function as how its intended to from android updates google playstore and everything.
check my guide on finding alternative solution for your google apps its in the p40 guide section.
i had s20 ultra before i sold it after 5 days it was exynos and i feel scammed on it it functioned very bad compared to a snapdragon.

I have P40 Pro for some time now and will share what I know to Your questions
-Phone Clone - moves nearly everything from my P30 pro to P40 including calendar data, call logs, contacts, sms etc. so the calendar is fine - but local!
-Purchased apps - I have several - they work (one is asking for some verification but nonintrusive ) of course No updates
-I did not try
-sure NOT
I was perfectly happy wit P30 Pro but both P40 Pro not only for camera But to try a world without GMS - It exists and works - but it's not the same - I missed Google Duo (I can install it from Amazon but can't connect), in a long term I expect some inconveniences - as I have some subscription apps and they'll expire eventually...
I think the prospect of android without the google services does actually have some appeal but I fear in real life losing things like photos, Netflix and Google pay would be frustrating.

Can I use the P40 pro with a smartwatch that has google pay?
If inserting the card in the smartwatch before synchronizing with the cell phone, would it work?
I have a Motorola 360 2nd gen, and it kinda works. I can do the initial setup for the watch, but I cannot add any google account to the watch, no weather or location update. I do get caller info, sms, email, whatsapp with full text. Without and account I cannot install any apps (left with the default ones).

Every time I pair the watch with a new phone it does a factory reset (at least mine) any data is wiped.
Watch with Wear Os work only with GMS. Without GMS you cant connect it with P40pro. I have tried and no change.
It depends on the type of smartwatch. I have a HW2 and have it paired ok with P30 Pro(Mate 30 Pro before). I also have my google account on the watch. There is a guide for Huawei watches that describes how you can setup/keep the google account on the watch and pair it after with another phone without resseting the watch.
About google pay on the watch...I don't know as I am not using it. Might work since I can open the store on the watch.
I'd be interested to know if Wear OS & Google Pay would work with a P40 Pro with GMS side loaded.
I have a Samsung Active Watch 2 which pairs and works with my P40 Pro, sadly I can't get Samsung Pay to work though on the phone or the watch.

Are you able to download apps on the watch? like Uber?
Is ti possible to set up wear os smartwatch and sync with some phone that is verified by Google (p30 pro for example) and then switch ur phone to p40 pro and continue using gpay on smartwatch without connecting it with phone at all?
Ivve a p40 pro with GMS installed but I can't copy the account... With p20 pro no problem.. I tried to swich to p40 pro but without results. The oppo watch request a new pairing...
Please help meeeee
You cant transfer a Google account over. If you do a search, you can get it to pair to another phone, like a P40, without resetting it but you cant use Playstore. You will need to sideload any apps on to the watch.
Its the only option i found, But always happy to hear of a better one.
So set it up on a GMS enabled phone, then get it paired and swap to the P40.

Same for me
From my post 2 up, you're not reading it. Do a search or read here https://www.xda-developers.com/pair-android-wear-without-factory-reset/amp/
This routine will allow you move a fully setup watch to your P40. No you wont be able to transfer your account or use G Pay or Playstore BUT as you set your watch up first on a phone you did have a proper G account, you shouldn't need anything else installing and you can use your as normal with your P40

hi guys my p40 stucks on "retrieving watch details" any help?
Hello XDA,
I recently upgraded to a P40 Pro and have been finding my bearings with the new HMS
My main question is, have I lost all of my Google backups from my old device and how can I back up data onto my new P40 Pro to ensure that it is all safe?
Secondly, what alternatives are people using to the GMAIL and YouTube App as I have been forcing myself to get used to the Web Apps but it's just not for me!
Thanks.
Hey bud, I recently swapped to a P40 Pro and I was recommended Google Takeout to recover any Google stuff you may have around and then you can always move it to Huawei Cloud or One Drive etc. As for YouTube I actually asked that on here recently and was recommened YouTube Vanced. I still use the website just pinned to my homescreen for now.

In terms of getting all your Google data across to your P40 Pro/HMS device I recommend using Google Takeout.
To back stuff up on your P40 Pro then I recommend getting your Huawei Drive set up. You can even backup WhatsApp.
I've actually signed into my Gmail account using Huawei's Email app. As for YouTube I use YouTube Vanced.

hi! I wonder if it is any way to sync 2 android phones to have the same apps, when I download an app to main phone, the second one will have it already when I start using it, like iOS auto download apps. First phone is my s22 ultra, second is Xiaomi note 11, thanks!
Hi, if you have the same google account logged in, in both phones, then you can select in which device to install an app, from any one is them. But this is not auto download. I don't think this exist..
