I'm trying to find a reliable way to pause/stop Pandora through Tasker and it's driving me batty.
Media Controls -> Pause -> Simulate Media Button works. The issue with it is that it doesn't work in a reliable timeframe. Sometimes it works within a second. Other times, it takes up to 2 minutes. I don't think Tasker is delaying the simulate button , I think Pandora is taking it's sweet time to process it, because if I pause Pandora manually, then it will eventually unpause, as though I sent a Toggle Pause instead of a Pause. If Pandora is already paused and the task triggers, it never unpauses, so that says to me that Pandora is receiving the button, but not immediately processing it.
Using a shell command to issue 'kill com.pandora.android' as root hotboots my phone, so that's out, and while Kill App -> Pandora works to stop the music, it leaves Pandora in a weird, half-running state where it's not actually running, but it still shows up in the notification shade.
Has anyone had any good experience with using the two together?
I have a backup profile here that turns pandora off "stops the apps process" when you unplug your headphones and auto starts pandora when you plug your headphones back in.
Keep in mind i set tasker to do this only for a headset without a mic, you can adjust the settings to your liking
Here is a link
you will need to download Secure Settings from the Market (play store)
Let me know what you think, ill re-upload the tasker backup if the link ever dies (just PM me)
Finally after a week I got my gear s2 connected with my Samsung Level U. How do I play music on my gear s2 without my phone? Music is copied.
I dont have a BT headset, but in my own quest to answer this same question I came up with the following.
1. Open the music app.
*2. Tap once on the bottom of the screen (Below the play button, you should see a track title and phone icon).
3. Now in the music app on the right side you should see 3 vertical dots. Tap that to access the menu.
4. You should see a black screen that says "Play music from: Phone"
Tap on the text and you'll switch to "Play music from: Gear"
5. Tap play to start a track and if BT headset is not connected you will be prompted to connect to a headset.
* Depending on where you access the music app from, step 2 may not be required. Ive gotten as far as step 5. Dont have a BT headset.
I use bluetooth in my car (Ford Escape) to play pandora over the radio. However, every time I connect it via bluetooth, my phone auto starts the built in music app.
Music app has almost no options and I can't seem to uninstall it. Is there an option elsewhere that controls this?
Go to Settings, and then Apps. Click on the Settings COG at the bottom of the screen, and then "Default App Settings". Select Music, and change the default app to Pandora (if possible).
Hello ,
I just got an Android Head unit and it is really great so far , but I have some minor issues that will be great if it can be solved.
My Head unit version is :
Model : Px6 (1024x600)
Android Version: 10
MCU Version: MTCE_MX_v3.73_1
1. My main issue is that the default Music app is not as rich as the other music players (such as poweramp) , is there a way where i can fully replace default music player with Poweramp ?
i need to replace it at the (Mode) command so instead of (Radio -> Music -> DVD -> AVIN) to be (Radio -> Poweramp -> DVD -> AVIN)
and i need to replace it at the Music command at the Key study inside the Factory settings because i remapped the 'Band' button to open Music instead of Radio so it will be great if it can open Poweramp instead of Music. Hope there is a way to do that without rooting the device.
2.I can't hear my whatsapp voice notes unless i open the a2dp application. Is there is a way to have a workaround for this and without using Android Auto ?
3. Some times when i start parking my car ( keep switching from R to D and etc) , a frame drop seems to appear at my Android Auto (via Zlink). the Android auto interface becomes very slow .
i am not sure if it is related to the toggling of the reverse camera when i switch to R. But this happened twice in the last 5 days. Please note that the Performance drop only noticed at the Android Auto screen. when switching back to home , everything else seems smooth and fine.
4. The right knob (turning right & left buttons) doesn't work with all applications , for example it works with default Music app by changing tracks but it doesn't work with Poweramp.
i also tried to remap them from the Key Study menu at the Factory settings but it seems that turning the knob right & left events aren't considered as Keys or buttons.
Thank you for your support.
How to Stop Play music automatically when blue tooth is on or phone calls ended in pixel 7 pro?
Hello!
Can you please be more precise?
Which app plays the music?
And you really want to end the music after a call (so during the call the music will be played)?
Usually it is the other way round ;-)

I know what he means. I have that, where I'll be listening to music, I get a call, pause the music to take the call and when it ends, the music or whatever I'm listening to starts playing again right away.
If I'm streaming to my car, which I don't set take to calls in my BT settings when I DO get a call, hit pause and put one of my buds in to answer it, when the call is over, whatever I was streaming just starts right up in my earbuds instead of waiting for me to unpause on my car-radio again.
OK, but these are setups in the app plays the music and not a general system setting.
I dont do anything like playing music or so.. When i switch on my car, when iy switch to bluetooth mode, music plays automatically.
In app, i have stopped auto start music. Still music is played via bluetooth without me starting a music

ok, understood.
But which app plays the music?
Jet audio, pi music these are the two music player i have.
I think there should be some setting available to play music with Bluetooth connection on to a device. I don't know more on this
Yeah I don't get the issue, stop the app that automatically starts the music when connecting to car Bluetooth. Go through the settings and disable auto-start. Only iPhones and iPads do that crap.
Also check Android Auto and your bluetooth settings in the car, they usually have auto-play settings
If that not help what schmeggy929 proposes: disable the permissions of these apps
especially Nearby Bluetooth devices:
