Hello everyone,as the title says I can't activate SIM card through Mi Cloud,whenever I try the international sms is sent and I know it cause I see my balance getting lower but the process ends with ''Couldn't verify phone number''.I have tried all possible solutions such as enabling data roaming and entering my phone number into my Mi cloud account through PC but the problem persists.Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe your carrier blocks international sms
Check sms and dialer app
Have you opened the Messaging app and accept Mi Message terms and conditions?

Where is this option?Poco has default google messages app only and I didn't see Mi message anywhere.

My brother has Mi note 10 lite with the same carrier and the activation was successful at first try.

Oh I'm sorry. I forgot I'm on Xiaomi.eu ROM. Try to clear data Carrier Services app and reboot your phone.

Settings>Apps>Manage apps>Show system apps>Search for Carrier Services

I'm rooted and was able to activate. The opinion was there once I clicked it under settings

I'm thinking I may have got the option from using Galaxy tools. I used it to gain Hotspot and noticed a few other extras, like unlocked apn. Here is the link.

I have apps that clip tray work fine and others that it doesn't at all. My other phone has marshmallow and works fine in all apps. Is this a problem with this device, it is FDR-L19.. All permissions are turned on in apps

in some apps the copy/paste just plain dont work, and noticed today in some apps my number hyper link dont work...had someone send me a phone number and never went to dialer, checked all settings i know of and all looked good and set proper.

I don't see anything else you might do.
The common solutions are try another card (formated to extFAT), try the card in another phone and factory reset.

Native Huawei covers pretty much everything except Wi-Fi. If you don't have root it's very convenient.

You mean the hisuite? Or the backup/recovery tool built in the phone? My phone is not rooted.
The stock Backup app is also great.

No, it's Huawei Backup. You should have it installed on your phone and available at Google Play.

Try the Huawei Phone Clone app. It uses WiFi direct to transfer apps, media, messages and more from one device to another.

Both of them are good in backup.
I would go with Huawei backup and keep a copy as I always do. That way if something goes wrong I have a copy outside any device I'm fiddling with.
SHAREit also has data cloning capabilities.

Just keep the backup in a safe place in case there's a problem with any of the phones.

Are you trying to set up the phone and is not allowed as Swift key is not working or its not working while using in regular state?

Can you try asking the guy from whom you purchased or try clicking on forget email and see what happens. Also, are you aware if the firmware it was running earlier before the factory reset?

Try skipping WiFi connection or sim connection, it may skip the Google sign in (possibly)

Tried that just loops the process of signing in nearly had it done but when tried sign in to account after getting to YouTube it won't sign in

Found a video that works was on noughat 7.0 and emui 5.0 but all good wiped the accounts and up and running :good:
It's FRP locked. That means it's either stolen, a found phone that was lost, or the previous person didn't uncheck a box when they sold it. If you're not concerned with that part then just unlock it. Super easy. I'm not going to tell you how to do so since XDA would probably throw a fit, but you can Google the answer. I've done it on Samsungs, LGs, Huaweis, Sonys.

All done it came in box with e everything was a bought phone they just did not untick all security before reset

Give the message app you use all authorisations and permissions. If the problem was not solved, just ignore the error message....it has no negative consequences for normal use of the SIM.

I'm facing the same problem, I need to activate my sim card, In order to unlock my bootloader !!
any recommendations?
To my understanding it is some sort of xiaomi verification thing so it might be trying to send a message to eg. China and your service provider does not allow international messaging. If I ever get a xiaomi device again (doubt I will though) I'll make sure not to use it with the stock ROM and my official sim card. This is like some next level invigilation. Cut its ties with the "mother ship" first hehe
