I plan to update this through out the few hours until I reach the final levels of my battery, so stay tuned
Unless you are developing I do believe this is in the wrong section.

My standard battery says 96% as well in this ROM. I have the extended battery which separately says 100%. In 4EXT, they both say "Full"... so I'm not sure what the deal is with that.

Indeed. This thread belongs in thunderbolt general.
Mine says fully charged at 96% as well.
I tried battery calibration and it does better... but not fixed.

Unplug it from the charger for a minute and re-connect. Or, reboot it on or off the charger and see if it gets up to 100%.

When it's "stuck" at 96%, boot into recovery and see what battery level is indicated there. I'll bet it's different.... and not a 1% drop based on the time it took to get into recovery.

So... done. I realize that. The only reason I posted here at all was to advise the OP to post his threads in the correct subforum in the future.
Alright folks here were some other notes updated picture from this morning, also, I apologize for placing this in wrong thread section
No worries -- I use the "report post" function at sites all the time for this purpose and have never gotten any flack from mods or admins. Some look at that button as a "tattle-tail" button and won't use it .... or assume someone else will do it.
On mobile, yeah, that's often missing...
Alright something new caught my eye, I went into recovery and cleared battery stats and my Dalvik Cache, upon doing so, I received this message after booting up and the PlayStore trying to update my applications
And you think this is related to the battery or wiping the stats ? Nope.... Wiping the cache, maybe.

It would go IN the thread for the ROM if that were the case. Since it's not a ROM itself or a tool related to rooting, tweaking, etc, it's best suited in "Thunderbolt General".

No one said it had ANY effect. You're assuming the fact that you wipe dalvik-cache and then get this error that it MUST be related.
Is it still occurring ? Does it occur with ALL apps you try and download ?
Let me wipe dalvik-cache and immediately attempt to download something from the Market...
You're putting too much "value" in that partition. It's named "cache" because it's a storage area and a somewhat temporary one. People wipe that ALL the time (often needlessly) with no ill-effects. Every mod or kernel and many flashable apps will tell you to wipe it.

Try using Wakelock Blocker. I think theres a module in Xposed for that.

if you disable privacy guard for "disable_services" and you after this disable "googloe.update.services" in "disable_services.apk" then your deep sleep comes back!
If you're running a recent CM based or aosp ROM you've most likely encountered some pretty severe battery drain from Google Play Services (or Android OS as it sometimes shows up as). Below is a procedure that will halt the battery drain, but will not affect the running of your device.
Enter Privacy Guard through Settings/Security or Settings/Privacy, then click Advanced or Show Built-In Apps (depending on which ROM you're running). From here you can select Google Play Services and deny the Wake Up, Keep Awake, and Auto-Start options. This should drastically reduce the amount of battery that Google Play Services and Android OS consume.

Quick question - are the Android Tuner and System Tuner settings necessary at all ? did you try this (both on the One X and the OPO) with just the Privacy Guard settings change ?

I don't have my OPO yet, I've tried just the Privacy Guard component but it didn't yield enough of a result, so I believe the Android Tuner and System Tuner components are necessary to properly reduce the battery drain.
Sent from a crappy Samsung because my Evita died
When I only used the built in privacy settings it didn't do much, but oddly once I set system tuner and Uninstalled the app, I don't see Play Services under battery at all.
if I uninstall the apps, then I lose the settings that the apps have set. @timmaaa - can you confirm that we cant install android tuner and system tuner, AFTER we have done your changes.
Secondly, I'm getting a few Play Store force-closes after I did these changes. Can you let us know *exactly* which things did you change ?

You can't uninstall the apps, they're the only thing that's reining in Google Play Services. I've had zero issues with any Google services after making the changes. This method disallows Google location reporting, it disallows Play Services waking the device and keeping it awake, and it also disallows Google from gathering information for targeted advertising.
Sent from a crappy Samsung because my Evita died
@timmaaa - one suggested improvement. You dont need to install "System Tuner".
Android Tuner -> Sidebar Menu -> Apps Manager -> Application Startups gets you to the same options as System Tuner.
Thanks @sandys1, changes finally made to OP.

I always use PA gapps and still had issues with Google Play Services. I don't use this device much anymore anyway since it won't stay powered on unless it's connected to a charger. It's gonna act as a WiFi router from now on I think. I have the OnePlus One as my main device now anyhow.

@timmaaa , don't with problems users are having but for me :
1-re-browse your old tutorial from webcache
2-after following your recommendation unchecking permissions in 3C toolbox
3- google play services never went to sleep , kept wake locking the phone
if that the bug every one is having , the fix is just by re-check the folllowing

Thank you for your useful post! The changes with App Ops have noticeable positive impact on battery life. I only had 2-3 crashes of Google Play Services after those changes. If those crashes happen again, I will switch options one by one to default to check what crashes Google Play Services.
___
EDIT: Google Play Services crashed because Auto Start was disabled. I enabled it again and now it's OK. Additional impact had switching off of "Location reporting" in Settings -> Location. That provides Google with continuous updates on your location, which triggers an *alarm* that wakes up the device even if Google Play Services is denied of accessing your location. Crucial impact had switching off "Wake up" and "Stay awake" for Facebook in App Ops and then greenifying it (I know it's not related to Google Play Services, but whoever is interested in preserving the battery with App Ops would make use of noting this, but be advised - you lose notification updates from Facebook).
I'm using an AOSO-ish KitKat ROM, and installed AppOps through Xposed framework. I only show the "keep awake" setting and not "auto start" or "wake up." Are these older versions you're talking about and what is does PA mean in the above posts? Thanks in advance.
Tapatapped it.
I updated to XNPH33R this morning with a completely fresh install, and have noticed that there is still a significant amount of battery drain for Android OS and not so much, but Android System too.

I know my signal looks quite bad, but I have only been on my normal commute, and it isn't normally that bad... has the radio update made my signal worse?
You could just download Battery Monitor Widget and check the standby drain.
The fact is that the standby drain with the latest OTA is between 18-30 ma, which is higher than it should.
With the cm11 nightly releases from these week there is a 6-10ma drain in the same circumstances.
Of course double tap to wake + gestures enabled.
So the drain problem is still here.
The problem occur also with franco r14 kernel, which means there is something wrong with the system files, not the kernel.

OP. You're not the only one that experienced the increased drain.
I opened yet another Jira bug report due to this drain.
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-838
Here is my results. It's consistent as well.
The proximity sensor issue is fixed since I used a camera to double check. Will sleep on it tonight to see if the drain is poor again...
I dirty flashed the zip from android police.
BTW there is also a new radio how's everyone finding that?
The multi touch seems to be mostly fixed. I get issues when my fingers are too close together but it can detect 10 fingers without problems now... Before it had issues detecting 2-3...

I also observe 18-20mA battery usage on 33R vs 7-10mA on 25R.

Okay, so to make a long story short I have terrible battery life. (See image below)
I don't even game, all this time the only thing I did was listening to music trough my headphones whatsapp, and some low usage of Facebook (Messenger). Nothing special in my eyes.
2h55 min SOT. This is really the worst battery life I ever had on every phone, I have this for a couple of months now already. And I am so done with it.
I am looking for options:
Will a new kernel help me out? If so, which one? I don't like fine tweaking. Just a new kernel that works, no tweaking and that works for battery life. I heard FrancoKernel, or ElementalX is good. But keep in mind I just need a kernel for battery/performance. Not for fine tuning.
I will also install xXx No limits. Is this recommended for my case?
I want to know all of your opinions on this, and with my batttery life in mind. Because I really want to get this fixed, I am getting annoyed so much.. Thanks!

There are really no specials apps installed. Also Battery usage (detailed) doesn't give a lot special.

Nope I am not rooted. I am looking for options what can cause this and preferable without root. I am afraid that root will only will make things worse, while this already really worse.

In the months that you've been dealing with this, have you factory reset your phone?

Yes, its a while ago now. I think it has been 1-2 months ago. But I can remember it didn't make a huge difference. The thing is, I can't reset it because of banking applications and working abroad. (I wont be able to install them again). And I am pretty sure it wont help.
So I am looking for a kernel option or other tweaks..
There's no miracle, a kernel won't help significantly. You just need to track what's draining your battery. Delete ad many apps as possible, deactivate system apps you don't need.
You can try deep clear in the recent apps management and turn off smart boost in the laboratory.
You might have to replace the battery if the other suggestions don't help
Download Accubattery from play store and charge your phone above 80% then check battery heath, i have 86% health and it's pretty good.
Also if you oem unlock bootloader it will wipe everything.
Your doing something wrong.
Tinder much? Or u checking to many IG babes?
Edit: in that case nothing wrong, but something else is wrong (logs plz)
I'm experiencing exactly the same. Idle battery drain is about 1,5% per hour, I hardly get more than 3 hrs of screen on time. I do think it has something to do with the OS, but can't figure out what...
Go in Google settings, location, scan, and check in wifi and Bluetooth are enabled. This combo drains a lot
Airplane mode + Wifi enable.

Okay, so to make a long story short I have terrible battery life. (See image below)
I don't even game, all this time the only thing I did was listening to music trough my headphones whatsapp, and some low usage of Facebook (Messenger). Nothing special in my eyes.
