Xtrons PX5 4/32 Crash with 128 GB SD Card - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

I have an Xtrons 4GB/32GB double DIN running Android 10 that works great until I try to load a 128 GB SD card with my music library (~50 GB). The notification drawer will state that the unit is scanning the SD card and then the unit will reboot repeatedly. I have left it running for an hour and get nothing but reboots. Have tried resetting the unit to stock and still the same result. I found that if I load only 20GB of music on the SD card everything works find and the card mounts but when I go over 20GB the unit crashes.
Loading my whole library onto a 128GB USB stick works fine and the stick mounts within 30 seconds.
Any help?

I've emailed Xtrons and they haven't replied. And you are right it is a MTCE unit. Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

MTCE is MTCD is mtcp, no problem there.

There is a maximum size card you can use on these things if I remember correctly. I *think* I remember it as 64gig.

[Xtrons PX5] USB Permission Bug / 8.1 Upgrade / Dashcam wrong speed

Hi there,
I buyed a xtrons px5 head unit for Opel, I installed malaysk firmware 2.0 for further customizations. Unit is running almost fine. Had some overheating issues after long driving with navigation. Dont want to open and add heatsink because losing warranty.
One big annoying problem is USB Permissions Message when using USB CAN Adapter with Torque. Every boot or wake-up from standby unit asking me again for USB persmission for canbus adapter, even if I tap use by default.
Does anyone know how to fix that?
Xtrons now selling units with Android 8.1, what the ****? New hardware? No update for existing px5 units?
My dashcam from xtrons (UCam china chipset) displays wrong speed and perhaps wrong position. My friend with stock firmware has same problem, any fix for that?

Sygav / Dasaita PX5 2019 Android 8.0 10.1inch Stereo Head Unit Issues

I just bought a new January 2019 Head Unit from Sygav China Took 8 days to arrive by USPS
This Unit for any Toyota Rav4 2013-2017
Manufacturer: Hot-Audio / Dasaita
Sold in US by: SYGAV via eBay
Sold in China by: Dasaita via Aliexpress
Pure Android 8.0 Oreo Operation System
- CPU Processor: Rockchip PX5 Octa-Core ,64-Bit Coretex A53
- RAM Space: SAMSUNG DDR3, 4GB
- Memory: 32GB
I have 4 questions.
The Factory Backup Camera on this Rav4 Hybrid 2017 is 1080p,
The firmware from this PX5 Unit only allows to display 420p for backing up display and not the true 1080p
The firmware from this unit as strange AM Radio increments and doesnt allow to show 1130AM
The firmware doesnt allow to install newly Google Playstore apps like Netflix
I was able to install Netflix older version 4.16 which i hate because on the New current Netflix Version, it allow you to download movies and tv shows to play and watch later when there is no wifi.
Is there a newer Firmware for this so its fixes the backup camera headunit software resolution
Is there a better radio software for the unit that has the am frequency fix so i can listen to the news and traffic radio report
Is there a Firmware that addresses and fixed Am radio frequency that allows people to manually input the channel by digits or find 1130am
Is there a Firmware that allows me to install the current new Netflix APK?
Is there a Firmware that allows me to set the display brightness to a higher brightness?
besides that above issues, This is really a huge upgrade from the Toyota factory HDradio that is a piece of **** and useless Entune.
This stereo sounds just as great as a Kenwood and Alpine new stereo, Sound is a Huge improvement and bettter bass.
Love the android features including able to set it the way i like and has a better GPS Map than Toyota **** hole Nav Maps.
I dont have any lag or pause issues, responds quickly with my apps APK
any help from the community here would be greatly helpful, its runs on the PX5 platform
love to know how to get 1130am, the FM and Am radio scan is terrible as it just passes all the high signal stations and cant seem to get 1130am , the slider is useless as it skips channels frequencies also .

here is the unit i bought from Ebay, if anyone bought the same one and has the fix . the Ebay item is 202266435549

Erisin PX5,Android 9.0 Bluetooth issues

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some help with my issue. I bought an Erisin ES8049U head unit that I am trying to connect to my cars after market engine management system via Bluetooth. The head unit discovers the engine management system but it's quite troublesome to connect to it. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesnt. The Bluetooth connection to the cars engine management unit works fine from my Samsung mobile, so the problem is in the Erisin head unit.
Also when I finally get it to connect, no data comes through to the engine management system, it's like its not even connected and sometimes it flashes connected/disconnected.
Here are the info on the system:
PX5
Android 9
Build: rk3368-userdebug 9PQ2A. 190305.002 20191113.183229 test-keys
Kernel: 4.4.167
MCU: MTCE_LM_V3.43_1 / DEC 17.2019
CPU: Octa-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.5G
BT chip that has been selected in the system by default is: SD-8350
I've read some of the BT connectivity issues and they mostly have had different BT chips installed, at least originally. Any idea which chip I could test from the list, or is there a MCU that would fix connectivity issues? Or any other things I could do?

OK, I got it to show the data from the engine managament unit when I disabled Wireless and after that it started connecting. But if I restart the car, it doesnt want to connect to the application. With my phone it works flawlessly. I wonder if it's an application error or something to do with the head unit.

PX6 MX MCU update failed

Hi there
So i downloaded from here MCU MX v3.71 as i have v3.60_1 at the moment.
Formatted a 4GB USB stick as FAT32, default allocation list and copied dmcu.img on the root of the USB
Then, inserted the stick into HU USB port, clicked on MCU update, it was found, system restarted.
next ? surprise: Android green guy dead, and "no command" on the screen.
I shut down the car for 5 mins to let the unit go to sleep and when i put the ignition on, the unit started fine, but still having old MCU
next, i plugged the USB stick into my computer and surprise: "this disc needs to be formatted".
Somehow, android unit didn't update the MCU but damaged the USB stick filesystem.
Did anyone have the same issue ? I am afraid now to use a different USB and repeat the process because my reset button is inside the screen and i need to dismantle half the dashboard to reach that button.
I have an AOTSR PX6 RK3399 unit with Android 10 and HCT2 kernel (firmware), MCU is MX v3.60
Thanks

What issue do you think will be resolved by updating the MCU? The MCU isn't Android.
my Waze app keeps crashing... i know that this issue might be from the firmware but i have a 2 unit pieces for Opel Astra J, it has a original fitting HU with DVD player which connects with 2 lots of pin cables to the display, and no reset button or hole. So is not a 1 unit Android, is 2 pieces. All main cables come from the big HU which sits instead of the original HU
I am really afraid to put another Android 10 firmware as i don't know how to enter recovery if something goes wrong

You've confused MCU with Android. At that point, I agree, leave it as is.

here is thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ith-mx-or-mx2-to-use-it.3913654/post-84413769
I only wanted to update the MCU because it is the last version, but this does not manage applications, it's the ROM that does that, as marchnz said.
You may need to ask from your seller support a newer version of the ROM you are running. I did the same but the language barrier is huge, i did not solve anything OR install a custom rom such as Malaysk ROM. I read somewhere here that Waze app needs to be downloaded from Aptoide and has to be a specific version for it to work but i cannot recall which thread was it.
