Sygav / Dasaita PX5 2019 Android 8.0 10.1inch Stereo Head Unit Issues - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

I just bought a new January 2019 Head Unit from Sygav China Took 8 days to arrive by USPS
This Unit for any Toyota Rav4 2013-2017
Manufacturer: Hot-Audio / Dasaita
Sold in US by: SYGAV via eBay
Sold in China by: Dasaita via Aliexpress
Pure Android 8.0 Oreo Operation System
- CPU Processor: Rockchip PX5 Octa-Core ,64-Bit Coretex A53
- RAM Space: SAMSUNG DDR3, 4GB
- Memory: 32GB
I have 4 questions.
The Factory Backup Camera on this Rav4 Hybrid 2017 is 1080p,
The firmware from this PX5 Unit only allows to display 420p for backing up display and not the true 1080p
The firmware from this unit as strange AM Radio increments and doesnt allow to show 1130AM
The firmware doesnt allow to install newly Google Playstore apps like Netflix
I was able to install Netflix older version 4.16 which i hate because on the New current Netflix Version, it allow you to download movies and tv shows to play and watch later when there is no wifi.
Is there a newer Firmware for this so its fixes the backup camera headunit software resolution
Is there a better radio software for the unit that has the am frequency fix so i can listen to the news and traffic radio report
Is there a Firmware that addresses and fixed Am radio frequency that allows people to manually input the channel by digits or find 1130am
Is there a Firmware that allows me to install the current new Netflix APK?
Is there a Firmware that allows me to set the display brightness to a higher brightness?
besides that above issues, This is really a huge upgrade from the Toyota factory HDradio that is a piece of **** and useless Entune.
This stereo sounds just as great as a Kenwood and Alpine new stereo, Sound is a Huge improvement and bettter bass.
Love the android features including able to set it the way i like and has a better GPS Map than Toyota **** hole Nav Maps.
I dont have any lag or pause issues, responds quickly with my apps APK
any help from the community here would be greatly helpful, its runs on the PX5 platform
love to know how to get 1130am, the FM and Am radio scan is terrible as it just passes all the high signal stations and cant seem to get 1130am , the slider is useless as it skips channels frequencies also .
Mal in Vancouver Canada
here is the unit i bought from Ebay, if anyone bought the same one and has the fix . the Ebay item is 202266435549

EONON G2110F or G2110ZV Firmware Update Caused RADIO and WIFI to be non operational

I need to restore the operation of my Radio and WIFI for my EONON 2110F after a Firmware Update. The Radio APP displays and responds to user input, but no sound, the WIFI fails authentication. Below are all the specifics that I thought would be helpful to anyone who could help.
I was told to update my firmware by the Manufacturer and now the Radio and the WIFI do not function. The Bluetooth and DVD function, but I can’t enable the Navigation without the WIFI, so the GPS is uncertain.
Any help would be appreciated

I purchased an EONON G2110F or G2110ZV Head Unit from EONON EBAY. There were a few issues I had with the Head Unit, some were my lack of understanding and 3 were the unit.
1-The Steering Wheel Control would not work reliably with my 2004 Honda Odyssey.
2-The Weather App was not finding the region I entered so it never updated.
3-I could not connect my music on my Apple iPod Touch to the Head Unit, the iPod is Model A1288 with IOS 4.2.1, although my iPhone 4 with IOS 7.2.1 music could be played.
These were minor issues compared what I am now dealing with the Head Unit.
Asking Support at EONON was very aggravating. They would not answer my questions correctly. Such as if I asked them about my problem connecting my iPod Music they would send me a video using an Android. If I asked them about the Weather App not working, they told me to perform an update without providing the files or instructions. If I asked them about wiring up the Remote Steering Wheel Control, they would send me a video showing someone with a phenolic perf board with buttons on it performing the remote control operations, with no wiring detail.
Any help would be appreciated
Just installed same unit myself today, will share info as I learn more...
Okay, everything spec. wise and operations-wise is on the Eonon site...

Now, I myself am running a custom Lollipop ROM on it, that's also got root access. Only thing I don't like about it? The notification bar on KitKat has an icon which switches the screen off, so making the car interior dark during night drives. I'm hoping to get a message to the custom ROM's developer, Malaysk, and ask him about including that feature in any new ROM he makes for the RK3188 800x480 head units, like ours.
To find out more about our unit, visit the Android Auto section here at XDA. Malaysk's ROM, and others, are available there.
g2110f in a bootlock
I had that same problem, and corrected it by holding the "HOME and POWER BUTTONS" together holding until you hear three beeps, release and short press the power button.
It booted to the system set up or recovery, Use the power button short press to scroll down to recovery and clear cache. Long press power button to start the recovery process.
When prompted finished, restart the unit. Mine booted up normally!!!!!!
You'll have to reset your clock and other operations.
Goodluck!

Recognizing HU+problems with wifi/3g

Hello, I'm Paul and i'm new here. nice to meet you
I got problems with my HU: imgur dot com/a/VNcWdU2
It's a HU for Ford Focus MK2(oval one without MINIUSB on bottom left)
Android 8.0
Cortex A53 OCTACORE 8threads
RAM 4 GB DDR
ROM 32 GB
Don't know what else we need to figure out my problem
I got some questions/problems:
1)What is producer/name of HU or how to check it?
2)How can i update it to newer android or any good ROM with everything working? I don't like this bar on left side, and there is no menu with all apps like on phone, all installed apps actually goes to desktop...
3)How can i actually make a hard reset? I can't reset to default anything from submenu FACTORY SETTINGS, and using 'wipe data/factory reset' through 'recovery'/'device informations' only resets main dekstop(all setting remains the same...)
4)When i'm trying to 'reset to factory settings' i'm getting stuck with wifi not able to turn ON(sometimes) and also my 3g modem(MF821) is not working like it should(it shows the signal icon but it's stays empty and there is info 'no service' 90% times, sometimes it works after hard reset, but then wifi is not working and so on). 3G modem actually started to crash maybe week ago, when i need to put it out of usb then back to work, that's why i tried wipe data. It doesn't help, but mees much more
I got it from Allegro(Polish auctions), the seller won't tell me anything
Searched AliExpress and found a radio looking same from front/back like mine, only difference is the UI

Dasaita MCU with DSP: Bluetooth not working

I have a one year old 7" Dasaita PX5 4GB RAM, Android 8, which performs flawlessly. Even the Blootooth and MIC volume level issue was solved in this unit, it has configured Bluetooth WD-BC6.
I wanted to upgrade to DSP, so instead of removing componentes and soldering wires , I just bought in Ali Express Dasaita Official Store the Dasaita MCU board with DSP:
https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32965198383.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.6de363c0vGoD1p
After installation on new MCU board, everything is working fine, except Bluetooth, which is not working, if I go to FACTORY SETTINGS, (Password 126) I can select different Bluetooth Adapters, like: MD725, WQ_BC5, WQ_BC6, WQ_BC8, Parrot_FC6000T, SD-968, SD-BC6, SD-GT936, IVT-i145, SD-8350
But after trying several of them, Bluetooth is still not working. Dues anybody know which one I should select.

what BT module does your new unit have?
I did not check the Bluetooth module and I mounted the unit in the car. I took pictures of the board, but they do not show the BT model. So to check it physically I would have to disassembly again. To save this step, I was asking here just in case somebody has this MCU and knows the anser. But looks like I'll have to dissassembly.
Finally, I removed the new unit to check the BT, and it ios as follows:
The BT card in the "old" (one year old) board is:
Silk Marks in the back of the PCB: GOC-MD-705D
Paper label on top of QFP IC (Probably FW version and date) = A5BC6 1907
To have it working I selected in HU Factory Settings : WQ_BC6
The BT in the new MCU with DSP is smaller (shorter) and marks are:
Silk Marks in the back of the PCB: GOC-RF210 2019.04.27
There are no FW labels in the ICs on Top side of the PCB
What do I have to select to have it working?
In Factory configuration, the available BT optios are:
MD725
WQ_BC5
WQ_BC6
WQ_BC8
Parrot_FC6000T
SD-968
SD-BC6
SD-GT936
IVT-i145
SD-8350
I am attaching pictures of Old and New BT boards.
MCU has the latest FW 3.37, but PX5 has Android 8.0 one year old.

Good post, an example of what information to post. Also good /must to know MCU version and that you have upgraded it to the latest available.
Unfortunately I still dont know what BT module you have - it might be a new model or compatible with one of the others lists, or it might require new firmware. Have you tried cycling through all of the MCU BT options, restarting in between? Also try reviewing logcats for BT detected type.
Hi, thank you for your help.
MCU PCB is the latest one: HA-D6100-MAIN VER 0.1 20190701, that integrates a DSP board. MCU FW version is the latest one from Dasaita, MCU 3.37. I tried cycling all MCU BT options with restarting in between, but without success. I do not know how to check Android BT logs.
I purchased this MCU PCB in Aliexpress Dasaita Official Store and I send messages asking for support, but I got no answer. I had to open a dispute to get an answer from Dasaita, now they say that they will send a new BT module, but if the real problem is the lack of support by MCU FW, this new module will not fix the issue.
BT Module and MCU PCB are very new, so probably they will release soon a new MCU FW that will support it, but the Dasaita support

Hello. I had a similar problem. Today I solved it. With the help of seller Dasaita on Aliexpress, I found out that the motherboard has a fresh Bluetooth chip installed. As the seller says installed RF210 Bluetooth 5.0 chip, which is not supported by Android 8. Therefore, all you need to do is install Recovery Android 9, then the firmware with Android 9, and then in the Factory Setting, in the Bluetooth settings on the first tab, select RF210 (it will be added to the list, on Android 8 it simply does not exist). That's all. Everything worked for me. The sound is better than it was on the old Bluetooth chip.

Thanks for taking the time, your explanation solves the puzzle. Good to know they finally have an updated BT option, wonder if they improved the code/drivers.
I will add links. I installed Recovery and Android 9 according to the instructions Hal9k. Hal9k, thank you very much!

Probably on this forum there is a description of the upgrade from Android 8 to Android 9. But I rarely come here. I just saw a problem similar to mine and want to share its solution. I hope this helps someone.
Hello,
I have the PX6 (Adroid 9) with the RF210 BT module, but it doesn't work at all. I've installed the latest MCU and the one before that (MCU 3.45 then MCU 3.53).
I also installed the latest firmware update (20200521). In the end I also installed Hal9k mod, and it still doesn't work.
Does your BT work?

No, it did not work. But I did not try to install Android 9, mine was at Android 8.
SD-BC6
Hi,
I have tried all the BT setting and for me finally working SD-BC6 (PX5 with Android 9 Malaysk mod) . Finally means that my mobile can connect and working and ODB2 module can connect and working. All others setting worked only for mobile or only for ODB2 or not worked at all.

Erisin PX5,Android 9.0 Bluetooth issues

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some help with my issue. I bought an Erisin ES8049U head unit that I am trying to connect to my cars after market engine management system via Bluetooth. The head unit discovers the engine management system but it's quite troublesome to connect to it. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesnt. The Bluetooth connection to the cars engine management unit works fine from my Samsung mobile, so the problem is in the Erisin head unit.
Also when I finally get it to connect, no data comes through to the engine management system, it's like its not even connected and sometimes it flashes connected/disconnected.
Here are the info on the system:
PX5
Android 9
Build: rk3368-userdebug 9PQ2A. 190305.002 20191113.183229 test-keys
Kernel: 4.4.167
MCU: MTCE_LM_V3.43_1 / DEC 17.2019
CPU: Octa-core Cortex-A53 @ 1.5G
BT chip that has been selected in the system by default is: SD-8350
I've read some of the BT connectivity issues and they mostly have had different BT chips installed, at least originally. Any idea which chip I could test from the list, or is there a MCU that would fix connectivity issues? Or any other things I could do?

OK, I got it to show the data from the engine managament unit when I disabled Wireless and after that it started connecting. But if I restart the car, it doesnt want to connect to the application. With my phone it works flawlessly. I wonder if it's an application error or something to do with the head unit.

Android head unit advice - VW Tiguan 2011

Hello,
I'm considering to switch my original RNS310 unit over with an Android head unit but I'm quite overwhelmed by the various systems and choices.
The reason why I consider switching is because my satnav system in the RNS310 became inaccurate a while ago as it sometimes deviates from the actual position (indicator arrow deviates approximately 30m to the West/South), leaving me with a good OEM radio / outdated media system. I also installed a Fiscon Bluetooth module a few years ago, but the sound quality is quite poor, especially when streaming music from my smartphone... and I also don't want to break the bank because the car is more or less 10 years old.
The goal of switching the unit is to use Tomtom Go (speedcam integration and live traffic updates) or Google maps and Spotify or YTMusic or DAB+ or FM radio simultaneously (by the unit itself or by a Carplay / Android Auto integration). The sound quality and phone mic must be good (actually it has to be great) and the satnav has to be accurate. A unit which is updatable is a plus (for bugfixes or compatibility with newer android versions).
As my VW Tiguan includes steering wheel buttons and front- and rear parking sensors, I would like to have a cross-integration in the head unit (similar as the RNS310 does with park pilot). I'm also afraid that changing the head unit to an android system may cause battery drainage, hence the reluctance to make the switch. When I read through this forum, I also notice that various users experiencing quite some problems with android head units which are mostly quality related.
I already looked several PX6 head units from various brands (Xtrons, Isudar, Dasiaita,...) but I can't make up my mind.
Because of these reasons, I'm asking for your advice.
Do you think that it's worth switching over to an android head unit, and which head unit do you recommend?
