I have this issue as well, however, I noticed that if you let Chrome load the page fully and you then try to scroll only 1 or 2 lines at a time, it works without any issues

That's true, it's not ideal, however, it works And plus, Chrome is still in Beta so this might get fixed when they release the final version.
It will be it's listed as a known issue.
PixelRom NS4G (til Sprint gets the Galaxy Nexus or that HTC beast)
I've been using my Galaxy Nexus for the last two years. I have never really noticed any kind of "touch lag" during this time.
I just purchased a Nexus 5, rooted, installed TWRP 2.6.3.4 and also flashed the Dec.12 2013 version of Cataclysm
I recently noticed after about 2 days of use that:
Typing in general is normal, the keyboard reacts to my touch instantaneously
Games, or any other usage of the touchscreen seems to have about a 200ms touch lag. Whereas the Galaxy Nexus never had this issue.
Asphalt 8 is not playable due to this, the calculator app lags like crazy, or even just hitting the menu button.
Note: I noticed asphalt 8 was not playable before I did any rooting or flashing - however at that time I couldn't figure out the reason.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anything I can do to fix this?
I found that increasing the pointer speed may have helped a little. I disabled the vibration and sound on touch as well, that may have helped, but it still feels slow in calculator...
edit: Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. It may not be 200ms but more like more like 70ms

I'm just guessing roundabout, really. It's not like I timed it or anything.
I thought it was frustrating because I couldn't play even play CopyCat (the game where you copy the colors it beeps) without holding each color for a half second before continuing to the next due to the lag.
I found that increasing the pointer speed may have helped a little. I disabled the vibration and sound on touch as well, that may have helped, but it still feels slow in calculator...
do you have any tips for improving it?
edit: I guess the reason I'm complaining is because the lag is near zero when typing on the keyboard. How is it that there is no lag when using the keyboard, but then the lag is present elsewhere?

Ok, so I went ahead and did a nandroid restore. I'm still getting the same thing.
Comparing the older Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 5 on the same Copycat app, just a quick tap on each color using the Galaxy Nexus is enough to see a color illuminate and make the sound. On the Nexus 5, a quick tap renders no illumination or sound, though the game does see it as being pressed.
Yet on both devices, the keyboard response seems to be equal.

In this video I displayed the similar text input reaction speeds, and the very different calculator input reaction speeds

I wonder if this has something to do with the triple tap zoom gesture...?
edit: Solved. The problem was "Magnification Gestures"
The system was trying to wait for a triple tap each time I touched the screen? Not really sure how that all works but... everything is working fine now.
Settings>Accessibility>Magnification gestures>Off
fixed it all.
Whew. I was so worried! Thanks for keeping up with me Mark
Persistantly on screen the little up arrow stays over my home button so I can't use it whatsoever. Sometimes if I reboot it will go away for a short time, otherwise it's always there. I thought it may be from gravitybox but I wasn't sure. Any help would be appreciated!!

Are you using any lock screen mods? I had the issue a couple months ago but forgot how I resolved it.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Weird - even the camera icon on the bottom right is what is usually on the lockscreen (not usually in the app drawer). What mods do you have installed?
I have Notification Mod and Gravitybox

I have the exact same problem. Glad I'm not the only one who's going crazy with this thing.
I pretty much have your exact same set-up. I disabled Notification Mod last night to see if that is the problem but that damn little arrow keeps popping back up over the home button.
I have no idea how to fix this either.
Same issue... but no resolution...
Honestly it's been so long I don't remember, but somehow I fixed it! I think I red lashed my rom, removing GravityBox beforehand, and reinstalling it, only enabling things I knew I needed. Haven't had issues since. Weird issue though
Whenever I type fast the screen registers touches that I don't do or small swipes. I originally thy thought it was my fault but now I'm noticing it more often.
Does anyone else have this issue? Maybe its a kernel issue or hardware? Using PA with Franco kernel
Sent from my One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Here you can see when I'm taping each side alternatively it registers another touch further in the middle, doesn't always happen but enough to be annoying.
OK its pretty hard to see, try yourself using screen touch test

I thought I was the only one with this issue. I was gonna reap my fingers off. Wow.
Anyways, I heard CM is issuing a fix coz it has to do with the kernel.
So let's hope there's a fix.

i've noticed this as well - can't wait for a fix i hate having to type slow -.-
omg this is one of the BIGGEST issues i'm having with the phone
when i type fast it sometimes registers a swipe left or down which will either delete the last word (Swiftkey) or make the keyboard disappear
its SOOO annoying...
i really hope this is a software issue that can be addressed
i'm coming from the Nexus 5 which was super solid and accurate for typing
i even tried disabling all screen gestures as per the other OPO threads but there isnt any difference
Same here, but for me some times the app i am typing on gets minimized. Does this happen to anyone else?

Personally I've never had that but I was only using cm11s for 1 day before I moved to Paranoid android. Maybe that's a ROM issue? I've heard of someone else having the same issue as you though
Sent from my One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I installed SwiftKey keyboard and see if it helped that issue. Sorry to inform, not by much if at all. Coming from a nexus 5 too and I thought I just wasn't adjusted to the screen size but it is happening regularly enough to make me suspicious.
this issue is becoming a showstopper for me
its like...70% accuracy or less
either it will have a phantom swipe to left or down for me, which will either delete the last word or make my keyboard disappear
i didnt have any of these issues with my N5. I have my N5 right beside me too and i type the exact same speed and its 100% accurate
something is totally off with the OPO touchscreen and i REALLY hope its a software related issue..

SwiftKey only helps the issue because it is better than Google keyboard at correcting errors when you type. The screen still had the same issue.
Surely hope this is a kernel driver issue that can be fixed. It has been noted by many people and apparently they are working on it or it has been at least acknowledged. I would be surprised if they we would let these phones go out faulty like this without knowing there was a resolution that could be reached....
Got my OPO in the mail on its way. Yet another thing to be concerned about.
Also currently running a nexus 5.

I thought it was my own personal error this whole time. Hope it can be fixed with a software update!
Guys, please help us all out and vote on this issue in JIRA to make it as visible as possible to the CM devs. Create a JIRA account, and then on the right, Vote for the issue and then watch it as well. Also, if you can, comment on it too.
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-55
There are a LOT of people complaining about this issue, and many of us are nervously waiting to find out if it's a hardware or software issue. I'm personally hoping it's a kernel fix that needs to be done on CM's side, or it's something that can be fixed with a firmware update from JDI.
BTW - for more visibility , I found this official JIRA ticket for the issue:
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-55
I hope it gets more exposure. I'm surprised more people haven't complained about this because it's awful.
It's really the only major issue for me though, everything about the phone has been pretty great
*EDIT
oh lol, looks like someone beat me to it haha
I am actually relieved to see other people experiencing this. I use Swiftkey almost exclusively, installed it first thing, and I thought they must have done something, because I have had to focus on slowing down how quickly I type. I am bummed to know it's my phone but relieved to know it's not just me.

It's being fixed in an update, it's a bug in the Kernel that is going to be fixed.

No one said its a kernel issue on JIRA. I was the one who posted the issue first on XDA and someone replied to me and took the initiative to put it on JIRA. I've been following this from day 1, and the CM devs said they're looking into it. Never said if it will be fixed or not. We can only hope.
Also please notice the CM devs may have accidentally merged two issues into BACON-55. Please only talk on BACON-55 if your issue is related to fast typing and the multitouch issues.
is anyone having an issue with the bottom part of their screen be non-responsive. I posted on the One+ forums and also noticed that I'm not the only one having this issue but there seems to be NO response from One+ itself.
Does anyone have a workaround if they have experienced this?
Thanks in advance.
Are you using a screen filter app? If so disable it, this is the cause of the bottom part of the screen to not work particularly when you're installing apks

No, not using a screen filter. I've checked the One+ site and it seems to be something that is affecting some users.
Try to ground the phone my plugging in a earphone. When I first have my phone back in Sept I had the same problem.
