Has anyone ordered the headphones from Samsung? I saw this article on how to request them but it's been like two weeks and I'm beginning to think it was a scam. It was through the Samsung care thing. Anyone else see this... Saw the original post on reddit.

I ordered mine this way. It took about 1.5 weeks. Not a scam. Received the AKG braided headphones as pictured above.
Got mine about 1 1/2 weeks ago.
I believe mine just shipped today. I have something from Samsung coming tomorrow via UPS. Took them a couple weeks to send them.

Got two in just a few days after contacting them. Was easy, just had to give EMIE numbers from my phones.
Received 2 pairs as well for both of the note 20s I ordered. I used the text support and it went very quickly after supplying both of the IMEIs. 3 day delivery from the time of sending the text.

I live in canada and i tried the form method where you insert phone number on a samsung help site then they sent you text with a link and it takes you to a samsung help page where you put your imei and for some weird reason, it tells me that my my imei isn't registered please call 1800-SAMSUNG and i tried calling them but even after half an hour of hold nobody picked up so could you please let me know if there is any better way to contact them for the earphones?
I asked for the headphones and they sent me a usb c to usb c cable... No headphones.
i got the 30 dollar credit AND the headphones using the webpage samsung made. ive received a notification the headphones are slated to arrive today. took over a week i think or whenever the link was posted on here is when i did it. (however long ago that was).

I just used the text system samsung has setup. It went quickly but I am not certain if that is the same number they use in Canada. It might be worth a try iof you are having issues.

They will send you a completely different dock with spring clips (and no extra USB port) which they are paradoxically advertising that it damages the phone!
Sent them email and they replied they needed photos. I did and never heard of them again. The ball is now it PayPal's court as I don't stand these type of sellers.
Looking at some posts here it seems I am not the only one!

Damaging XZ with the original Dock ? Funny when you look at their pictures, how plastic can damage glass back of the handset !?
This dock has only one more usb port to "charge another device at the same time", totally useless...

No worries, they contacted me today if I want refund or re-shipment. I choose re-shipment. I told them if this time I get wrong, I will ask for refund. If you ask nicely, they reply with no worries, I guess... No need to go straight to paypal, it can be done withtout them...
Same thing happened to me...i have sent them an email and now i am waiting for reply.
It took 23 days to receive the dock....so to wait almost another month it just sucks...
For me is useful the second USB port and that the ports were on the back of the dock not on the side like is it on the replica dock i recieved.
Since there is no respond anymore from seller, I opened dispute claim on paypal against them.

i have one on the way (from china). The OEM wireless back from MobileFun (hell, maybe even samsung) may be available before it gets here, but i'll be sure to report back.
I just ordered a few of these from china, should get it in about 2-3 days, visited the china sourcing fair on the 14th in hong kong there wasn't much s5 stuff around.

I should be getting mine any day now. Not sure if it will affect the waterproofing or dust rating. My guess is that it will not interfere There's just enough space in the back cover for it. Only time will tell.

please do! The only reason it wouldn't work is if the contacts are switched (ie: pos/neg).. if thats how they even work?
Also when looking at placement, it might cover the speaker and/or sit on the seal. Minor issues to deal with while we wait for the official cover!

The s4 that i have wont affect the speakers, i also a few s3, note 2, i can check those, but the s4 has a better chance, as mentioned it all goes by the positive/negative. Pins and the size.

Now I have heard a lot of horror storied regarding Samsung's Customer Service / Warranty Repair center. So this may not come as a surprise to the people of this forum. Also, just a warning this is going to be a very lengthy post.
I bought my Galaxy S5 from AT&T and I had the phone for maybe all of two weeks before I noticed the glass on my home button beginning to chip away (I had not dropped it, scrapped it, etc.). So, I called Samsung customer service and they told me I needed to send it into their repair center in Plano, TX. While I wasn't happy about having to be without a phone, I figured it was worth it since they were going to fix this issue under warranty. So, I ship it off to the repair center and in 2 days it arrives (on 10/17/14). They began fixing the phone the following Monday and actually finished the repair the same day (10/20/14). For whatever reason their tests found both my screen defective and my motherboard defective and they replaced both including the button under warranty.
Problem found:
SENSORHUB FAILURE - LCD BLANK/SEG. MISSING/LINES
Solution:
REPLACED LCD - REPLACED PBA

At this point I'm pretty happy since I'm more-or-less going to have a completely new phone returned to me. The next day (10/21/14) my phone passed their quality check and the service tracker displayed "Closed - Unit Is Shipped".

This is where things begin to go slightly down hill. The following day (10/22/14), I began tracking the package on UPS to find out that UPS hasn't received the phone from Samsung yet. I call the repair center only to have them inform me that they don't have the phone, and it was picked up by UPS. The problem I found with this response was that the next day UPS still had claimed to not be in possession of my package (10/23/14). So I called Samsung again for them to tell me this time that they haven't given the phone to UPS yet and that it would be sent out before the end of that day and I would receive it the following Monday. So Friday rolls around (10/24/14) and UPS still claims to have not received a package. Because it was evident to me that Samsung didn't know whether or not they had my phone, I made a lost package claim to UPS just in case they did in fact receive my phone but had misplaced it. I then called Samsung AGAIN, I was told yet again that they hadn't sent out my phone. The guy then offered to send it out via. UPS overnight since it was supposed to be sent out on the 21st. He also offered to email the new tracking number ASAP. A couple hours roll around and I had not received any email from Samsung regarding a new UPS tracking number. I then proceed to call Samsung AGAIN, this time the woman that answered seemed surprised and confused that I had been offered overnight shipping for my phone because she stated that they weren't in possession of the phone anymore and that UPS received my package on the 21st. She the reassured me and told me that she made a claim to UPS for a lost/stolen package as the sender.
About an hour later I get a phone call from UPS to inform me that they have begun an investigation to locate my shipment and that they would be contacting Samsung as well. Now today (Sat, 10/25) I checked the UPS tracker to discover that UPS has successfully located my package and there was an Origin Scan in Mesquite, TX.

This told me that Samsung LIED to me on multiple occasions, telling me that they sent my phone out but still had possession of it the whole time. I have to say that I am very impressed and satisfied with UPS and how fast they took action and located my package. Samsung's Repair Center needs to get their **** together though. This is a warning for anyone thinking about sending their phone out to Samsung. If you bought your phone through a carrier, I recommend seeing if you can have your warranty issue addressed by them.

Yes I got one this afternoon, left a review and checked the box to be entered to win the $500 gift card. The rest was somewhat ambiguous and never did mention the tripod nor that I was going to receive one for fitting the criteria. Said being simple, first 500 reviews on the LG site qualify. Hoping that the link from my email which splintered off quickly into a less specific or indirect route to leaving the review doesn't mean I'm dense and missed a little something along the way. The tripod would be killer. I will not complain though as LG has done awesome by me so far with the battery/sdcard promo. Sure beats Samsung's offers to give me 30% off of accessories if I purchased through their site.

I had the same experience as a couple of you guys above. Posted the review and nothing else. I did notice right after posting that it said the review needed to be moderated and that would take a couple of days. It would be nice to get the tripod, but even so I legit love this phone.

Like many of you, I wrote a review of the V10 so as to enter the sweepstakes and, more important, to get the tripod. Just noticed today that my review is up on the LG website.
However, I have not gotten any notification from LG about the tripod or the sweepstakes. My experience is that LG can be a bit slow in following up. But people have been able to get them to move faster by calling customer support. I don't plan on doing so myself.

Bought the phone as soon as it came out in the US. A definite upgrade on my previous Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Things I like: -Dedicated DAC and amp to drive high-end headphones -Expandable memory, which is becoming a rarer option these days -Replaceable battery, also becoming harder to find -Second screen. It's much more useful than I thought it would be: e.g. being able to turn on the flashlight without having to go through a bunch of menus -Capable processor: there are faster ones. But I've not had any issues with stuttering
