Yeah, I got some purpling too on the viewfinder in low light situations. And the resulting photo is purplish where it should be black. I tried a different gcam, twichaya and loaded the twichaya2.xml and that took better pictures with no purpling.

i see , so it is software related then , because i have the exact same thing as you said, i was curious if it could be hardware related , i'll see if i can find that gcam

Another captivate owner brought this to my attention and i wanted to see if I could replicate it. I didn't notice it on my own or with my pictures so I wouldn't say it's a big deal but wanted to see if anyone else noticed this as well.
In low light, taking pictures of a white surface shows a clear red tint/blotch in the center of the picture. Not sure why this would be, but it seems more evident in low light conditions.
Here are some samples.
Same issue here. It definitely shows up in the camera preview on the AMOLED

This is because the camera over-saturates the images. If you can find a camera app that lets you change those settings it would be fixed. The reason it shows up more on the AMOLED is because the AMOLED is already over-saturated.
I'm not sure that makes sense since the problem is visible on my computer upon export, which means that it's not just a problem while viewing on the SAMOLED screen.
Does anyone experience a pixelated picture when using the stock camera in a low light setting? I find it kind of annoying. The picture during the daytime is great but as it gets darker.... doesn't do so well. Is there a fix for it? Does anyone know if the camera mod fixes this issue??
try adjusting the ISO settings in the camera app. This is mostly a limitation of the camera sensor on smart phones.
it's still pretty pixelated. I'm guessing there's not much more you can do about it since it's a hardware limitation?

Hello
I bought s6 920 two weeks ago but yesterday i realized something wired
in pro mode when i change the iso to something higher than auto or 100
so the screen is flickering and it have color lines the image is attachted
now today in pro mode i have something similar with softer lines and white lines not with color but when i take a picture or screen shot the screen with the phone its not show those lines
Now it happens only when it daylight or a bright background
when i take a picture at dark or at less light it doesnt show this light or capture them in the photo
if i shot at auto iso or 100 it doesnt show these lines on the screen only at something highwr especially at 800.
Is it normal?
Can someone check it with his s6 pls?
I dont understand nothing on iso at all but maybe at daylight on higher iso its normal that its flicker
Thanks

If it happens only in that indoor area which looks like an office? Then it's the lighting causing it.
No its hapoans only indoor.
so you think that it is normal?

Thanks you very much my friend you are the best!!
Hello,
I have recently purchased an S6 and am loving it so far how ever last night I noticed that a black line appears on the camera when shooting in low light against darker backgrounds. I have been a little worried about it and just can't seem to figure out what it is. The camera functions perfectly in normal light. This issue only occurs on the back camera, the front camera is fine.
You can see the line especially well when a filter is added. I can't attach pictures because im new but I can message them to you if you wish to see!
Does anyone know what is causing this and should I be concerned?
Thank you in advance.
bump
Noticed this at a club with a blue light, thought it was pretty cool! Sadly only works with the front facing camera but even my friend's samsung s9 couldnt do it

Couldn't do what? I watched the video. I see everything blue until your face is on camera.

the blue light was corrected from the front facing cam, he sits in blue light but the camera make his face normal as he sits in normal light. very impressive Technic!
