hello
i bought oneplus nord and found i can not use 5g with duel sims if i want 5g i have to use single sim so i return the phone
now i am planing to buy the poco f2 pro and want to chek if the same thing here
can i use 5g with duel sims or not
regards
You can't have both sims at 5G simultaneously.
One will be at 4G and one at 5G.
Yes i know
In OnePlus Nord i use it for 2 days with 1 4g sim than i put the other sim (5G) I got massage in the phone that 5G is disabled and i can use single sim if i need 5G and wait for system update to use duel sim with 5G
I ask here to be sure if same thing with poco or not before i order it
In Poco F2 Pro if you activate 5G, second SIM will be turned off.. You cannot have active dual SIM simultaneously with 5G option...

Hey all, as from today I'm a OnePlus 7 pro 5G owner... With a bit of a downfall.
Before I bought the phone I made a bit of research about this device to see capabilities and if it's worth the money.
As I know this device is dual SIM from factory and I was expecting my op7pro 5g to be the same... and it is in a way, but has no functionality of dual SIM phone.
When I've pulled the SIM tray out I could see inside the phone on both sides of SIM tray has SIM pins to make contact to the SIM, so I've made one of the SIMs to fit in the tray because is not a dual SIM one, but you can adjust the SIM card to fit there.. and I know it's not the SIM faulty because I've tried it on and works.
Any idea how to make it work dual SIM... I have to specify it's on a contract from EE UK.
Please give me some ideas, I know to all the stuff with ADB so I'm not afraid to use it ?.
If the phone came from EE instead of OnePlus directly, then it might be subsidized (payments) through the carrier. If it is not unlocked (cannot unlock the bootloader), then you probably won't be able to fix it.
Here in the States (USA), TMobiles OP7 Pro is locked and the second sim disabled. But you can fix that by unlocking the phone and flashing the International Rom to unlock the second sim slot (second slot is software locked, not hardware locked), allowing dual SIM if you can get your hands on another sim tray with the dual slots.
Don't know if this is the same for you, but it is worth looking into if your carrier does lock the phones down and allows them to be unlocked.
It's not dual SIM as it's a limitation of the 5g modem
The 7 Pro 5G IS dual SIM capable. It has 2 modems. The Qualcomm X50 5G modem and the modem built into the SOC for 4G. It's the firmware that's restricting dual SIM functionality. If you wish, you can convert to the international variant but you WILL lose 5G connectivity (if you have it).

Can anyone please tell me if the oneplus7 pro and oneplus 7 t share the same type of sim tray, I want a duel sim tray.

yes I own the Oneplus 7 Pro and that sim tray is the exact same one that goes into the OP7T Pro Mclaren.
I have t-mobile and i bought my sim card slots from amazon for both the OP 6T and OP 7 Pro. I was able to successfully convert each of those phones using msmtool. But the damn OP7T Pro Mclaren 5G from t-mobile I can't find a solution.
I have the Oneplus 7t Pro Mclaren 5G Edition and all I want is to activate dual sim. At this point I don't even care if 5G works. I would sacrifice it if there was some way to install OP7T Pro onto the OP7T PRo Mclaren.

Hi, could you please share msm for me so I could get things working? Thanks

sure, which phone? the 6T or 7 Pro?
Can I confirm that you tried using a OP7Pro international firmware via MSMTool on your OP7PRO5G? Did you ever fix the issue?
I'm just trying to workout if using a OP7Pro international firmware makes it work as a dual 4g sim (I really dont care about the 5G)
FyI I have a OP7PRO5G(EU)
I tried to use msmtool to make it a op7pro international (was a fail or I wasn't doing something right....I get "Param pre-processing") Can someone please advise me.

Hello how i Can do'it?
Hello
Why Poco F2 pro have only activate 1 SIM for 5G?
why is it not possible to use SIM 1 with 5G and SIM 2 with no internet or 4G (3G) at the same time?
I only want to be able to make calls on Sim 2 and Internet on SIM 1 with 5G...
can't the Sapdragon 865?
does this come with a later update?
it works now on the Poco F1 ... Sim 1 with 4G and Sim 2 without or with 4G at the same time.
Kind regards

Poco said they will give update to fix this but no fix yet
Not a fix cause it's not a bug.
It's in the specifications from the beginning, and inside the manual (first pages).
They will provide a update but maybe not...
As we all bought the phone knowing that, they don't have to speed up to provide a 'fix'

They will but they didn't give ETA.
Here the exact sentence in the poco Manual :
"subsequent software upgrades will include support for primary 5G and secondary 4G/3G/2G card mode function in dual-card situations"
This means they can do it tomorrow or next year..., so we just have to wait...

mi 10 ultra if 2 sim insert cannot connect 5g
If one sim off it is connected to 5G
Mine works with 2 sims when there is a nearby 5G signal.
Did you set the primary sim for data which supports 5G?
yes my primary sim already set to 5G.

Hi,
I was just wondering if you also get the options to set 5G. I'm on the latest EU Rom stable (V12.0.15.0.QJJCNXM), but in my settings in "Preferred Network type" I only have the option to choose LTE, 3G or 2G only)
Do you guys have the option to choose 5G?
Thanks
I have 5 g on SIM 1 and 4g (LTE) on SIM 2. Check your settings on both Sims if they have 5g enabled. See screenshots.

Hi @Sathelp,
I appreciate your confirmation, but unfortunately I don't have the option to choose 5G.
Are you also using the stable EU version? or are you on a weekly rom?
As mentioned, with the stable V12.0.15.0 I don't even get the option for 5G only LTE.
My wife has a Mi10T pro with stock rom and she gets 5G option and we have the same Telco Carrier, so that is not the problem.
Why doesn't my Ultra get it?
Thanks
I've not heard any other issues. I'm on weekly but why don't you pop over to the Xiaomi EU forum and ask there? Might get a little more support for this question
T Mobile Band 41 5G does not work on this phone in USA. Disappointing.

well thats rather naughty isnt it!! I always liked Xiaomi on my second phone but this will make me think twice about buying their products now!
In the instruction manual it is also written that with an update they would have added the dualsim with a sim in 5G but have not yet done so after a year. It's a shame, I will never buy a Xiaomi smartphone again!

I have emailed Xiaomi UK and asked them, I don't hold out any hope for an actual response passed the one I have already that says they are waiting to hear back from that department.

I think Xiaomi has abandoned our smartphone ...
The Poco F2 Pro has great potential but is very limited, even the 5G bands are limited compared to new cheap smartphones such as the Poco F3.
Too bad it is not possible to unlock the modem ...

I have two sims in the Poco F2 Pro and I am using xiaomi.eu
I use the second sim for data and the second sim gives me 5G among the preferred networks while the first sim does not.
So I think 5G is usable among the preferred networks based on which sim you use for the data.
