There is not one
that OOS file changes it to where you OEM unlock then fastboot OEM unlock then you're good

Is there a boot.img/patched boot.img file for the T-Mobile/Sprint OnePlus 8 IN2017 available? Currently running software version 10.5.7.IN55CB. I'm looking to root with Magisk but flashing Magisk with TWRP brought the phone into Qualcomm Crashdump mode.

Hey I just need confirmation. If I root t-mobile oneplus 8 variant with the exact OxygenOs version. Will I'll be able to get rid of T-mobile tab or be able to install local updates from oneplus ?

No. You need global fw or custom ROM to get rid of T-Mobile tab and to perform local upgrades.
I want to root my oneplus 8. install TWRP recovery.
please anyone help me how to install TWRP in oneplus 8
I am using oxygen OS 11
Android version 11
Use fastboot to flash the TWRP image to recovery using the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery [name of image].img
Keep in mind that this command will flash to your primary slot; if you'd like to flash it to both, replace "recovery" with "recovery_a" or "recovery_b", which are the names of the two partitions. Your bootloader also must be unlocked for this operation to work.
The link for the TWRP image can be found on XDA.

TWRP only works on Android 11. Not 12.
Android 12 can be rooted, its just a lengthier process

MSM is the only way to unbrick, try reinstalling all drivers in test mode and when driver signature is off
Is it still not possible to TWRP android 12? (Android 12 Update 5. August 2022)

Hello!
I build Orangefox for the Oneplus 8t and 9r and I am now doing a unified build which will work
on Oneplus 8, 8t, 8 Pro, and 9r.
A new updated unified beta Version is here
Decryption might not work for Oneplus 8 and 8Pro yet but I will try to fix that in the next days!

Yes will do that as soon as I have added working decryption for Oneplus 8 and 8 Pro.
Actually decryption should already work for all OP8 series unified ROMs like Pixel Blaster and FlamingoOS which are unified for OP8 series and Op9r und using FbeV2 decryption method.
Hey,this is probably a stupid question but I would like to know how to root my tmo op8t I understand you need to unlock the sim and bootloader and all that (already done).however how to root it is confusing to me.do I need a boot.img or can I just load up twrp on it and flash the magisk.zip.thanks

If you're on OOS 11 then you can use TWRP.
You cannot use TWRP on OOS 12.

I'm on android 11 but hardware version says 13
Is there any reason to use the boot.img over just twrp flashing magisk? Seems a little complicated to me and also there's no boot.ing for the kb2007
If TWRP wasn't available, then patching boot and then flashing is the only way to root.
What do you mean by "hardware version is 13"? Screenshot?
Yeah I'm on 11 nvm.
Do u know where I can find patched boot.img for the tmobile kb2007 model if twrp don't work?
And if it does I can just flash the magisk zip and be rooted

No ideas about finding a patched boot image.
In TWRP you can just flash the Magisk APK.

The T-Mobile to EU conversion lets you unlock bootloader without the unlock token from OnePlus website if you don't want to wait.

Let's you unlock bootloader like a normal OnePlus 8t after it's converted.
