Digital wellbeing on Nord - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

Anyone get the digital wellbeing App to work on the Nord. It worked on OP5 but won't work on OP7T as well. Anyone know why?
Answer found how to open the actual wellbeing app but there is no icon in the settings menu you have to search for it to open why is there no app icon. You can only open it in settings via search and you have to keep searching for it manually to open it.

Way to open the app drawer?

Is there any app that allows for opening the app drawer / list directly without going to the home screen? (Either an app launched directly, or an app that puts an entry in the Notifications Menu?)
(Hoping to use a notifications menu entry, or an app that I can use in conjunction with SwipePad.)
This is for use on a Nook Color, so there are no hardware buttons available.
I personally use Smart Taskbar. it's quite customizable and is probably what you're looking for functionality-wise.
check out swipepad, too. you can put 12 apps in it and access it from anywhere. you can't include the app drawer, however.
oops sorry didn't read your full post. quick desk may work.

[Q] Question about dot view mod

Not sure if I am phrasing my question well enough for search to work, but I looked and didn't find anything. Is there a way to make the swipe down launch a google now search rather than the HTC voice dialer?

If you are rooted and running Dalvik (not ART) you can install the Xposed Framework and run Sense 6.0 toolbox which permits altering the gestures. There certainly may be an easier way, but I know that way works.
And btw has nothing to do with dotview.
Maybe I am changing the wrong thing, but under wake gestures I changed it to Google. It works if the phone is off and I don't close the case. When the dot view car is closed it still launches the HTC voice control app.

Try Settings --> Display & Gestures --> Motion Launch Gestures --> uncheck "quick call" and see how you make out.

S Finder shortcut or widget

Is there any way to reach S Finder in an easier way than having to go to the notification panel? It's really annoying as I want to be able to search my phone quickly, and not by having to drag down the notification slider in order to open the search function. Or do you guys have any other recommendation for a file/contact/app finder or search app (other than Google, since it's generally sluggy for searching internally)?

of course there is mate,
1. Install nova launcher (there are other ways, but that is how I did it)
2. go to widgets and click 'Activities'
3. Select 'S Finder' from the list
You can also check out Conjure which is a similar app that works well and has a widget. But like Mitko76 said installing Nova and using the activities shortcut gives you a lot of options!

Using Nova:
Get into the home widgets selection, add a Nova widget of type Activity, then scroll the list until you find Settings, expand it and scroll up to the Battery item. Select it.
There you can also find all the possible shortcuts.
(I've translated the menu items from my Italian version)
Trying to add App Mgr using Nova Activities. Doesn't work. When I click or hold the setting it opens App Mgr but doesn't add it to home screen

If you use QuickShortcutMaker
it works fine
See screenshots.
Thanks. But got it to work finally. No need for another app.

any chance you could share how this is done?
To be honest , not sure. I just kept trying normal processes for adding widgets, then choosing nova activities, and under settings there are a ton of options for apps/app mgr, I kept trying different ones and one stuck.
Can not use for nova launcher.

Thanks for this.
The only thing that worked for me (Samsung S9+, Android 8.0.0) was the Nova launcher. QuickShortcutMaker went through the motions, but didn't actually put a shortcut on the home screen.
The Nova launcher works a treat, but why do Samsung oblige me to replace their launcher within the first half hour of owning their otherwise very nice phone?
I always switch on "Do not disturb" before going to sleep, as I use my phone as an alarm clock, so need to leave it switched on, but of course don't want alerts all night. As you can imagine, the last thing I want to be doing when I'm tired is effing around with settings, so having a shortcut to DND is essential.
The other shortcut I created was to the "Change Home" setting so I can easily switch back and forth between Nova and the "Samsung Experience" whenever I want. And you know something's going to be dodgy when they call it the "Something-or-other Experience"
Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!

it may be necroposting..but I'm having this exact same issue on android 10..I'd be infinitely happy with some sort of widget for this task...
theres a way to do it via the widgets screen when using nova launcher..I cant remember the exact steps for it.

Get working Wellbeing on OxygenOS Pie OB1 [NO ROOT]

I saw many people struggling to get it working.
Some suggesting to use with magisk module. But I got it to work without root.
So here's the steps to get it.
Steps :
1) Install latest wellbeing apk from apkmirror.com or attachment
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...wellbeing-0-2-207862754-android-apk-download/
2) Install Nova launcher (just needed to create shortcut)
You can use this app for shortcut too https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.actionlauncher.pixelshortcuts
3) Go to homescreen on your launcher and long press
4) Go to widgets and search for "Nova activities"
5)Scroll down and look for Digital Wellbeing in the list and tap on it
6) select ".home.TopLevelSettingsActivity" from the list of activities in digital wellbeing
First thing done. Now to permission.
Search for Digital wellbeing or wellbeing in apps and ensure all permissions are granted.
Lastly
1) open settings
2) search for usage access
3) allow wellbeing access
Done.
Now to see the app click on shortcut firstly created and you can see the dashboard working.
Hit thanks if I helped.
GDrive link for wellbeing I used

Tried it.. works as described! Thanks
Thank you! It works great!
Yes, it works, but if you don't want to use nova, then you don't need. I'm using Oneplus Launcher. You just need to use this app from Play Store to create shortcuts for Digital Wellbeing

I updated OP
Most, but not all, of the features will work if you install it this way. For some of the app's features, it needs privileged permissions to work.
working as OP stated thanks
after just ativate "show in the app list" and it will be showned in the drawer
Much appreciated mate, it worked now!
Jesus Christ ?
Latest update gives you the option to show the app in the drawer. Get it from apkmirror.
