Yes, lots, check on ebay. Even the cheap ones work pretty well, though they get scratched up a bit more (but they protect the screen). I prefer the feel of the matte ones, though the fully clear ones keep the screen looking crisp.
very good are tampered glass protectors , but i am not able find it for phq
I would suggest you buy a sheet of this stuff.
http://www.bestskinsever.com/
I've been using it since the HTC Pro. Very good skin. Easy to apply (spray some water with soap), press out the water and bubbles with a creditcard and let is dry for a night. Tadaa.... I still use it on all my phones. Mind you though, it is vinyl-like. Meaning soft and thick.

You're probably right, but are you sure? Or Corning's site they list the Photon, but not Photon Q...
Back when I had the phone, the phone would be in the same pocket as keys, and there would be very few noticeable scratches after 12 months of use. Given issues and screen fixes, I would go through new ones at least every 6 months so it really looks new. I can only tell the age of the screen front by looking at the condition of the trim around the glass. Really the only need for a screen cover is for the textured feel as mentioned above.
You don't need one for this old but robust phone.
Your affection will way more quickly wear off than your screen does.
Hi people!
For those without screen protection, how many of you with scratches on screen of the S7 flat?
No scratches on my S7
No scratches on my S5 with not even a case for almost 2 years
its not bout scratches its bout how well you take care of your phone because it comes with gorilla glass 4 so it shgould last if you take care of it.
Gorilla Glass 4 my ass. I baby my phones and have never scratched a screen until this one. Super disappointed with GG4 or Samsung's implementation...
I also take care of my phones VERY much, and can see some scratches visible on sunlight after 3 months. I never put my phone with something that can scratch it. But then again, I saw those little scratches on every phone I had. Good thing about older phones is that it wasn't so freaking hard to find a screen protector

When U live in Serbia, ordering things is a pain in the.. Neck
I have a friend that works in a larger phone accessory shop here, and he said that none of the protectors they have are full screen or that they always have bubbles.
Have U tried any? Maybe a suggestion so I know which protectors are good for ordering online.
I have a galaxy alpha with gorilla glass 4, and also have the small scratches.
These small scratches come from sand, dirt, dust that is harder than the screen and rubs against your phone in your pocket, these small scratches are unavoidable without screenprotector.
But these are small so they don't bother me, what worries me more is the back glass which is not GG4 and scratches more easy.
Hi everyone.
I've owned a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930W8 Exynos edition since release date. One day around month 3 I was removing the phone from my otter box case and with the littlest bit of flexing the back glass cracked horribly. I found this to be very annoying since this is supposed to be a "prime" quality phone with gorilla glass 4. I think it was more like gurly glass 4 as I bearly flexed the phone at all and am a very caring / gentle phone user and have owned many and never cracked a case/screen ever. My question is has anyone had broken glass, front or back replaced under samsungs warranty or am I crap outta luck? I called Samsung once and they said it's not covered. Since it was not outside of proper use I feel I was fed a line. Any help or suggestions? Very dissapointed in gorilla glass 4,and Samsung for placing it all over all sides of the gs7 in a very thin manner.
Makes me rethink if I'll ever purchase another Samsung again.
Discouraged and disappointed!

Hard or rigid protectors can't cover the whole screen because the edge has a bevel. I got an anti-glare matte screen protector and it works great

Well those back panels can be bought for like 13 bucks and can be easy to replace but you will lose the waterproof tho.

Thanks for the tip!
But I don't really want a rigid protector, I mean, i have been using plastic film protectors on all my phones, because I'm very gentle with them and just want to keep them from small pocket scratches. I just need a full screen one that will go over those 2.5d edges of the glass. I also don't like those matte protectors, they totally mess up the screen quality
I had 3 years SG S4 and only one little scratch. After 3 days having S7 I have already weird "graze" (is it correct word in English?) . Is not visible when screen is clean but dirt always stay in the same place. I'm VERY disappointed. Also afraid about home button made of plastic !
My first S7 edge had a super Deep scratch right on the screen curve, stay that for awhile before it turn in a crack going across the screen.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
I bought a Fosmon screen protector for both mine and my wife's S7s and they fit really well. If you apply them correctly then you won't have any bubbles. I never use the guides or anything to put it on, I just go slowly and use a credit card to smooth out bumps. Cleaning your phone screen first with alcohol and a lint free wipe cuts down on anything left on the screen to cause bubbles.

That is not at all what I was asking. My question was has anybody had this issue and had it replaced under warranty? If so what did the process entail and what was said to get it done. I appreciate your comment as to boost your standings in the forums but if your info is not some of actual help you might wanna say nothing at all and let someone else answer the issue.

Since you went hostile... You might wanna to stop being a **** and start your own thread, for your own issue, instead of hijacking this thread. You broke your phone and that isn't a warranty issue, which Samsung already explained to you. He offered you info the help you quickly & easily fix your phone for very little $.
As for screen scratches on my S7, I don't have any so far. No screen protector either. I guess it's probably nerdy, but I carry my phone in a Nite-Ize holster, on my belt, and never in my pocket. So far, I've never scratched a screen on any of my phones since the OG Droid. I had a screen protector on my OG Droid, for a few months, but that's been the only one I've used.

What's your problem? Maybe you should just STFU then if you get mad bout people helping your dumb ass. You break your own phone and come in hete crying bout warranty while this treath is about scratches on the screen. So next time calm down or dont reply
Personally if your just using it day to day you wont see any scratches on your phone especially since the Galaxy S7 has gorilla glass 4. I would recommend a screen protector or even a glass screen protector if you are the type of person who chucks around their phone and doesn't really care about it.
You should be fine using it without a screen protector
I have had my screen protector from OnePlus on since I received the phone in May. As of right now, there is a crack spanning the entire screen, top to bottom and a half a ring shaped crack in the bottom of the screen protector. I have not dropped the device nor have I had anything impact the device. It has simply cracked under the pressure of my own pocket. I strongly urge against buying one. I have reached out to OnePlus and their response was that it was already installed, so they refused to do anything, even after providing many pictures and a video proving there was not a single scratch on the phone or screen protector. It is a total price of garbage. Do not buy!
So no crack in your phone screen? Thats all that matters tho. I mean maybe you didnt notice when you bumped into something because i doubt it can crack in your pocket only.
If i was you i would buy the moloco full adhesive screen protector from aliexpress for 3.99 dollar because it looks the same as the orig one.

Yea thats the one bro! And full adhesive is the way to go because matrix dot or edge only protectors are terrible.
Also if you really need a good protector then you can try to glue it on with LOCA 2500 glue. Videos are on youtube.

When it's in my pocket, I always have the screen to my leg. Also has a case. I'll dig through the pictures I sent OnePlus and post them later after work. Not a single scratch on anything, even the screen protector.
Anyone notice the sensitivity of the screen has lessened since using the OnePlus 6 tempered glass screen protector? Takes more effort to double tap, sometimes around the edges of the screen touch is iffy, I'm considering taking it off but would prefer to keep it on for obvious reasons..
Thread cleaned.
Flaming somebody--and even worse, their country--is not tolerated as per XDAs rules. In this case, the post referenced a product alone, and there is no need for hostility against one another.
XDA is a place serving several different regions, and insults as to any of them are not permktfed.
Thank you,

I notice it a bit, but not enough to impact anything. I have big hands and they are strong from playing guitar so I usually press slightly harder anyway. It is a little on the thick side. Going to try a plastic as a replacement for my damaged one. I'll report how well it works after the weekend.
Hey all,
I bought my flip the day it came out and have developed some cracking and peeling on the crease of the screen. Is this something I can easily fix with a new screen protector or is this something I need to call Samsung for and use the warranty?
Wowsers, may I ask how that happened? I'd get onto Samsung. That's what the warranty is for after all!
This is just normal use. I don't do anything crazy. I have a desk job. It just started cracking one day and keeps getting progressively worse.
Hi i had the same problem. i saw a crack in the protector horizontaly in the crease right side 2 weeks ago(i bought zflip 3 on end of august) with a gray reflect on White color of the screen.
I decided to remove the protector (you tube vidéo helps to it and furthermore in the french stores all Zflip 3 demo units had no protector on it like flip 1). I bought an hydrogel protector taylor cutted by machine.
The bad big surprise is that the Samsung original protector is not an hydrogel one but a simple sticker like S20 models !! It's a shame for a foldable and the risj to damage the screen is high.
Now i have my z flip 3 with hydrogel that i managed to put myself because the vendor was not sure..... The feeling is better, feels stronger and i love typing text on it after.
I have 2 micro bubbles left but it's far better than to have a cut in the plastic.

Update: I got a new screen protector on Amazon and everything is perfect now. Removal and replacement wasn't much different than a standard phone.
Well done!!!, the phone is better after, the screen seems stronger, typing is easier and its protected!!!

Is it true when you replace the original protector with something else and it is not done by Samsung, warranty will be void?
Can anyone recommend a third party screen protector that actually works ?
Samsung says you shouldn't remove the OEM screen protector... but is it okay to do so?
If you ask me... I would recommend not to remove the OEM screen protector at the same time don't use any 3rd party screen protector too...

Why? Have you removed it? Any experience with other screen protectors?
I use the Skinomi screen protector on mine, been using them since my Pixel 2 XL. The Samsung one is a flimsy piece of hard plastic that loves finger prints. So glad I took the "risk"
You can find a number of videos where people apply their own. Definitely recommend, but it is scary while you're doing it
My tip after applying it: Keep the phone unfolded overnight!

Hi!
How long have you had the Skinomi protector on? Any problems? Does it feel as smooth as the stock protector? Does it cover the whole screen? Stock protector has small gaps all around the screen.
Some questions...

It feels so much better. I've had it on for about 3 months now. Keep in mind I never liked glass screen protectors. The 'rubbery' ones that require water feels better, and makes sense for a phone where you're not likely to drop it on the screen
No problems, just remember not to fold the phone for at least the day afterwards (I have a very small bubble there due to my impatience). Plus, the rubbery ones self heal so it always looks great. The fact that it never shows fingerprints too. No more constantly wiping the phone after every use
Yes I know exactly the issue with crap getting along the sides. So infuriating, but this one reaches the corners well. I also put the protector touching the very top of the phone as well to eliminate the top gaps so the only real gap is the very bottom, and that isn't touched as often as every other part of the phone. I also don't remember the last time I needed to clean it
In the picture, ignore the bottom gap gunk. It looks way worse on camera for some reason
Let me know if you want any more pictures/angles

When installing the Skinomi, what's the best way to deal with the hinge dip when "squeegeeing" the protector to the screen?
Just ordered the Skinomi.
I almost got T-Mobile to exchange the whole phone. They finally asked me when I bought it and determined it was still under Samsung warranty and directed me to Samsung.
Once again, Samsung sent me on a wild goose chase to Best Buy and the Samsung Experience section which, no longer exists at the 2 Best Buy's I tried.
Dismal support from Samsung!

Nice, that's the one I'm using
I think I first tried squeezing from middle outwards, but the phone did fine doing it normally (from top to bottom or vice versa). I was only worried about water getting into the hinges, but apparently these phones do well with water according to YouTube durability tests
I hear a lot of people with the same experience for the lack of Samsung support. It's a shame
Have you all read this yet:
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 durability tested — read this before you buy
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is more durable, but the foldable display itself is still fragile
www.tomsguide.com
After reading that and watching the YouTube to replace the screen protector, seems pretty scary to replace the screen protector.
The best screen protector secured at last!
After many months of scouring the internet and more money spent than I'd like to admit, I have finally found what I would consider a better screen protector than even the OEM installed one from Samsung. I have tried close to 10 different...
forum.xda-developers.com
I just made a thread about this and I'm absolutely positive I found the best screen protector by a longshot. It's also a very straightforward install, I got a perfect install my first try.
