they used a very low quality vibration motor to cut the cost. the haptic feedback is way beyond bad. but i guess they tweaked something in miui12 eu version cause there was some improvement. you can try that.
I'm on eu 12 and also don't feel vibrations

Hi
I find the Z3 viration motor to be very weak. I changed from HTC One M8 which was audible across the room when vibrating. I find the Z3 very weak (often don't notice it when in my pocket) and when on the table makes a fairly feeble noise. Is the the case with all of them?
Not sure if this will help but goto
Settings/language and input
Select the settigns of the xperia keyboard and scroll down to Sound and vibration.
In there, there is a setting for vibration intensity.
Hope it helps

Sadly it doesn't help because it just affects the vibration when you type; presumably the OP (like myself) wants "louder" vibrations for phone calls/notifications.
Try maybe turning off vibrate mode and it will make an audible noise called a "ringtone"
Yes the vibrate is a joke on this phone. And try turning on the Ringtone as the helpful soul above suggested, it's equally as pathetic lol
Its not so bad lol, definitely not as powerful as my LG G2 though.

I only referred to the loudness as an idea of how weak the motor is physically in comparison. Just wanted to know if it was usual! Is not the end of the world the M8 was relatively strong compared to most.
yeah I dont notice the vibrate either, coming from a Samsung S3

Sorry I'm a [email protected]$$, compared to my Galaxy Nexus it was maybe stronger. The vibration was strong enough to move my phone from being safely on the counter to falling off and breaking it so I would say it's strong enough? Can't compare to the M8 from personal experience.
Returned my Moto G for one of a different color and I think the vibration may be different on this unit... Sounds kind of like a rattle, maybe a touch higher pitched. Kinda.. cheap-sounding? Anyone else have this, or an I imagining it? (I no longer have my old unit to compare)
not in mine .. it was clear up to 80% to 90 , there will be distortion when i keep at FULL ,
i recorded my screen with SCR REC , even though it cant justify .. i was just wishing it would give u some idea what it sounds like at FULL VOLUME .. ( recorded song is mazhai vara pogudhae in case if you want to compare )
but i am sure its good.. no Rattling sounds
Screen Recording : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N95_fk5wszo
if there is any way to know how it sounds ?? any app ?? let me know .. i will try to do it and give you the results..
Hahah sorry, I meant the actual vibration motor. (ie when receiving a text or with haptic feedback on the keyboard.) The audio speaker is fine.

LOL sorry
i cant say mine is normal or not .. but i havent got any doubt about it .. so i think mine is normal
I have this problem too! I just bought my Moto G a few days ago, and the vibration was ok. But lately I've been hearing a strange rattle when it vibrates, just like you said. Were you able to find out the cause of it?
Hi guys,
I like my OP6 apart from one thing. The vibrate on calls and notifications when in vibrant mode is so weak that I can't feel it when it is in my pocket. Sometimes even miss calls when it is on a table near me. I have "Vibration intensity" set to "Strong" for both and have changed app settings where possible.
Do you know any app or mode which can help? I think I will not buy OnePlus anymore because of this weak vibrations. I missed a lot of important calls
Yes it is weak for me too... I guess the vibrator is not the strongest in op6...
Just install a custom kernel (root needed).
For example, Ex kernel has the option to change the vibration level through it's app.

Hello fellow U12+ owners.
I noticed something annoying while making a phone call today. If I move the phone, I can hear a sound coming from the back of phone. The sound can be also headed while shaking the phone. I haven't noticed the sound before.
I remember back in my M7 days, the camera lens was moving and that made the sound.
Anyone else with this 'problem'?
me too!
seems like it is caused by the ill-design
the vibrator hits the base when its motor is rotating
try to turn down the motor voltage using custome kernel

the motor rotating? the motor is rectangle, it can't rotate inside.
when I shake the phone, it sounds like the cam/OIS is moving there. nothing serious

i may misunderstand you
but u12+ do have vibrate motor, and it makes a clicky sound when the motor stops on my phone.
i tried to shake my phone, but didn't hear the sound you mentioned.

The vibration motor in the u12+ is rectangular, not round as it was in previous and other phones.
It might be that you have a defective device, so that when the vibration motor stops, it will have a click sound because it's not properly fixed.
And well, the sound it hear... I don't know myself if it's really the cam. But the phone works fine, so I don't care if there is such a sound when shaking, because... When do you shake your phone ?
I heard it near the cam, don't know if it's really the cam or something else

Could you please confirm opinion that vibration haptic feedback in OnePlus 7 Pro is so weak?
OnePlus promised after user's previous models complaint that they put better vibration motor in new OnePlus and it will finally be stronger.
I'm OnePlus 6 user. I love this phone, it's super fast smooth but I have vibration haptic feedback. I have fast phone but every day I miss a lot of notifications and calls because I don't feel vibration when I have phone in my pocket! This is annoying, annoying every day!
Is here somebody who had OnePlus 6 and could compare vibrations in these two models?
Thank you!
Mine is very strong. At least double the strength of the OP6 I had. I also installed EX Kernel and it's even stronger still since the kernel has a setting to max out the vibration strength. (only go to 50-60% on the kernel vibration or you will get rattling in the phone during vibration.
