Huawei P40 Pro
Camera
Hello, everybody. My name is Cameron. I'm completely new to XDA!. I'll be honest, don't hate me, but I used to be a keen apple fanboy. I was recently convinced by the phone shop guys that I would benefit from a P40 Pro as I am looking to get into mobile photography, moving from apple I didn't see much problem with it not having google. (I have found it a LOT easier to use than my iPhone, it's like I'd just hopped out of a DeLorean! . I have had a lot of fun with the camera, especially the Night Mode which is absolutely phenomenal on this phone.
I was wondering if I could get some best practice from some of the keen photographers out there on how I can capture some amazing shots. What type of settings / setups do you guys have?
Here are some of the photographs that I took yesterday in low light whilst I was out for a dog walk

Really looking forward to hearing some responses and getting to know the people of XDA Developers
Thanks

Hey ya'll. This is my first post, though I've been part of the community for a minute. I love this site and I love my gadgets!!
Anyway, I'm a musician/producer/artist. Iv'e never shot a music video in all my years of performing. But just the other day while I was taking a bus to Seattle I figured, "Hey, I have one of the best phones on the market and at least 1.5hrs of nothing to do...let's make a music video!!!"
Anyway, I do not know if anyone has ever tried to use the Fuze/Touch Pro in this fashion but...well, here's a link. The quality is actually pretty freaking cool looking, no one whose seen it believes I shot it with my phone. The quality is kind of lo-fi (but that's mainly because of the upload size) but it gives it a cool feel. Anyway check it out, its my first direct contribution to this forum:

Looking to move up into a bigger smart phone and I am very interested in the touch pro 2 as it can be customized a lot, and has many applications as well as a mix of touch screen with a very nice keyboard, but recently friends and such have swayed me to look into the blackberry market and I do like the front facing keyboard and the app store it has as it is though I am being told that windows mobile is a horrid mistake, slow, unstable, etc, and from my own research I have found this to be 50/50 depending on the website, as for the blackberry it seems ok just not quite as good as the touch pro 2, and price won't be a factor on these as I will be able to get either for about the same price, I just won't to get which ever is best for apps, texting, customizing, (battery life a must), and reliable build quality. I know this is probably a bias forum towards win mo but maybe some of you also have BB experience as well.
Welcome to forums
Go for TP2 defiantly!
it´s a great device!
And you´ll get the support from this great site
Don´t go for crackberry or iphoney or nokia
Just my opinion
Good luck on your decision
Hi,
Was advised to come here by one of my friends about asking some advice about phones and such.
I wouldn’t say I’m entirely new with phones but there seems I be so many out there its getting hard to pick
At the moment I’m using a “Note 2” which I’ve had for over a year now, but I just feel its not keeping up any more so I’m looking into getting a better more up to date phone and fingers crossed you guys can point me in the right direction
My trouble is I was possibly thinking about getting HTC M8 but is it best holding off for a while and just getting the M7 or are the differences really noticeable, but then I’m thinking to myself should I just get Note 3-4 as I enjoy using a phablet it makes viewing more easier, and gaming more enjoyable for me to play
I’m really looking for any type of phone with just raw processing power for use with emulators and such that will have no slow down and quick opening of applications with not much slow down with opening, also with a lot of snazzy features would be great that I would never get bored of would be a great bonus
I would also like to stick on android… I don’t have any qualms with iOS I just feel once you have had 1 iPhone you’ve had them all
thank you very much
Greetings XDA! I've heard numerous stories about how the XDA community has helped random people across the internet. I am in need of some assistance. I have started a new tech channel called Ish Network on my YouTube channel. For the past 4 years I have dreamed of becoming one of those people who gets to review the latest and greatest gadgets the world of technology has to offer. I always watch channels like XDA Developers, Phone Arena, Unbox TherapyTechnoBuffalo, MKBHD, etc. I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands. It is time to stop dreaming and take action. Before I appeal to companies around the world to lend me devices to review and play with while helping them market at the time, I need to gain a viewer base and subscriber base. Now I'm not asking everyone to subscribe and like my videos. If you truly love technology, please help a fellow geek out!
My first official video to kick off my new series is my Galaxy Note 4 Review. I would appreciate any comments, positive or negative (feedback is always valued). Thank you for helping me out!

You're basically asking us to review a review. Well, here's my opinion:
You did a pretty good job with the video, if this is your first.
Your voice sounds good, however some words are mispronounced and there were a few mistakes/points where you hesitated. Take more time to deliver a coherent and impeccable speech.
The video recording was decent, I liked the fact that you shot many angles of the phone. The problem here is with the stabilisation, the camera was shaking and sometimes out of focus. Again, you should take a little more time to set everything up accordingly.
You should not talk when you are testing the speaker because neither the music nor your voice is clear. You should review it saying something like this "let's move on to the speaker. Samsung went for a rear facing speaker this year. The sound is good/bad/loud/etc. as you can hear". After this brief introduction the music is to be played, so we can hear it and make our own opinion.
Edit: I think you ought to be a little more objective. I mean, sure, the note 4 is a great phone, no questions here, but it has flaws which should have been covered in the review. The rear facing speaker is not that good. There should be dual speakers facing the front, like those on HTC M8/M7. The fingerprint sensor is not as accurated as touchID. You get the point. Note that I'm not saying this is bad and you should quit, but you have to improve. The information is correct, the voice sounds great, the angles are great, just try to focus more on the small details. Use a tripod and take more time to get the camera focused.

Thanks for the amazing input, I'll definitely put to use your feedback in the future! Appreciate it mate!

^but an oldie!
Hello!
i currently own an iphone 6 και and am looking to swap it for an android device-sick of ios(i previously owned 4s,5,6).
The android i am looking for must meet the below criteria with order of importance :
-good battery life
-good display
-good camera
-fast
-θpreferably with on screen buttons
-good sound quality with headphones
-somewhat decent support (not the htc type-oh here is 1 update, thats it )
phones i loved so far but cannot decide on them are :
-note 4(since note 5 wont be coming to eu), but it is already over 1 year old, so its updaes should stop after android 6.0
-nexus 6...man oh man i really really love that one but as it turns out, it bends with almost non existent effort ( youtube is filled with videos crushing it bare handed like its a candy bar)
-lg g4 very nice and fluid experience , good camera but the battery life is truly-hard to believe-kind of bad
Please help me escape the walled garden of apple, and guide me..devices nowadays are very expensive to just go see-n-choose..also exchanging devices from seller is a no-go where i live (say e.g. i return a lg g4 because it doesnt work for me).
Thanks, you guys!
Hello.
You should take a look at this thread. It should have all the information you are looking for.
You should also read this. It's a sticky right at the top of this forum. You have been a member since 2010, and have over 1000 posts. You should know to post in the proper forums.
