Hey guys, I'm planning on keeping my OP6 as the Snapdragon 845 is still a beast and I see no valid reason to replace it, but I wanted to replace my battery for a really good one. Does anyone knows where I can find an original (or excellent quality) battery?

I replaced with one of these and it works great, probably 40-50 cycles so far and still strong.

i bought that battery and i got it with 2550-ish mah out of 3300 according to accubattery. Its been pretty reliable for me so i have no reason to distrust the readings.
I get about 4 hours SOT running a battery test with HD video running on youtube with wifi and max brightness. Worth mentioning that my display is an IPS LCD, not an amoled.
Got my battery replaced last week by OnePlus. Cost me about $20.

Oxygen has issue with the backlight in the lcd replacements, but its fine now that i run lineage. On oxygen it the backlight level freezes and stays where you left it until reboot, it doesnt change if you move the slider. Other than that the screen is acceptable. The colors and the brightness will be different from an amoled of course, but the screen i received was very good for an ips lcd. No performance hit that i notice.
If you buy the more expensive amoled replacements, you shouldn't notice any difference.
I was planning to do the same since my battery life has decreased noticeably, I'm about 2600mah. However since OnePlus does not sell OEM batteries all the batteries sold on ebay end aliexpress are of unknown sources and could be pretty unreliable but it's cheap and you lose waterproofness or whatever the OP6 has. It costs €10 or less if you do yourself.
If you instead go with OP official support directly it costs €35 shipping included.
What do you suggest? I'm tempted to pay less going DIY but scared I won't get any improvement.

But you leave near OP representant?

3600mAh Mugen power
At "Special Price" of $104.95 I don't think I would want it. Back cover looks horrible, instead of making a hump they kept the width consistent with a slight curve.
My phone looks smaller with BALLISTIC case on. Battery life is no longer an issue if you have a small charger like below, just keep it in your pocket and charge your phone while it is not in use.
the reason there is no hump like on the HD2, is because the back cover is required to get a signal, due to the contact pins being right there. The back cover isn't a 3 piece back cover, so they can't make a part have a hump, and the rest not.
I have not used this one but I'm currently using their 3300mah for Nexus S...I payed their price and I must tell, they do a good customer support job for the price they ask for it.
Speedtest?
Can anyone shed light on why speedtest had a faster download with the extended battery installed?, is it simply more powerful because I would have thought the power was regulated by the phone itself?
Is it likely to be a better aerial in the back of the Mugen case?
Thanks.
Terry
That thing is ugly
If you have to replace the battery door, how do you expect the antennas to work?
That's... HUGE!
The size is too big, and out of my price range
I have one, it gives me enough power to last until the next morning without a charge. The wifi sucks now since the back doesn't have the metal antenna connectors, but everything else works fine. The back is ugly as hell, but its worth it to be able to last at least a day.

The aerial is probably better than the original HTC one, so faster results, they could afford to make it a lot bigger as the back of the phone is a lot bigger

Yes, they sent me a new back to the phone, but it didn't fix it. If I switch to the old battery/back then its fine and works great, but with the back they sent me, my range is now severely limited and certain ways of holding the phone drops my signal altogether.
Well a friend of mine is offering a mugen 3600mah(!) battery unopened for 50 euros... that's about half the price I can find it in retail.
I'm still waiting for my Anker batteries, but I'm -seriously- thinking of getting that as well... do you think it's worth the price, will it really get me ~2.5x the battery time I have now (including drain) or I'll end up with roughly 3-4 hours extra?
Just waned to add that Mugen Power has a slim solution that is OEM sized but still gives about 15% juice.
1950mAh
As the title says i'm looking for the biggest battery that will fit the stock door. I know most options don't include NFC and by the looks of it who knows when we will actually be able to use it. For now i've heard that the extended nexus battery may work but no relies yet. Any help would be appriciated.

The nexus extended will work. It may bulge a bit, though. I trimmed a tiny bit of the plastic off and it fits fine. Some work with no modification.

Battery
I just got the Nexus battery about three weeks ago. The cover is tight going on and needs to be maneuvered on properly, but for me, there is no bulge. It works great and you can tell it is a higher capacity battery just from the additional length of time it takes to recharge over the stock battery.
I am attached to a charger most of the day, but will be giving it a good, hard work out when on vacation next month.
Looks like i'm going to buying this then, thanks guys. For those of you that have bought it, what were the time differences between battery length? I'm currently on SKYICS rom and with heavy use and lot of things frozen i get to 10pm with about 10%. I'm hoping i'll have 25% with this new battery.
Also being that this is an NFC battery, would that functionality still work when its finally launched??

I have an OtterBox, currently replaced tho with a Case Mate. I also have the extended battery. I haven't even used the extended battery, however I will be this weekend. Anyways, to answer your question, I briefly popped the battery in right after I bought it. As others said, there may be a slight bulge, however i'm fairly certain a case would work just fine with it.

Yeah, it doesn't get any better even if those junk ass generic batteries say they have more mah. They really don't, and they don't last as long as OEM.

There's really only way to find out.
A lot of times you can get a exteneded battery that is a little bigger than stock that is the same size. The One X battery might fit, it's only 150mAh bigger.
I would guess it doesn't fit/work.
Why would HTC bother using 2 different batteries if they could use 1. Having to source more different parts is never a Good Thing in manufacturing.

Why? The same reason they left out NFC in the One S, Also the One X has a bigger screen so it needs a little more juice to get the same battery life.
I know this thread is a few days old now, but thought I might have a little insight. Back when the Evo and Incredible came out (very similar relationship to One X / One S) the Evo standard battery WAS the Incredible extended battery. Same part number and everything, and they were exactly the same physical size! So I'm not promising the One X battery will work, but there's definitely a good shot.
The current 1650mAh battery looks pretty big, so that 1800mAh may actually fit. The work needed to open the case seems to much to replace a battery.

honestly, for just a 1800 mAh it's not even worth the disassemble, I'd do it for the one x+ battery though
i would say it's not possible. the connector for the One X is on the left side the One S is right. altough the battery seems a bit bigger (what I've seen in videos)
you are right about the connector

the battery in the pictures on the site (see OP) does not look like it has any notches or cutouts indicating direction of installation (it looks like a square more or less) and could probably be installed upside down, allowing for the fact that the connector of the X and S are on different sides, but you would have to twist the wires over so that the connection could be made, and I am not sure that they have that much give...
honestly, getting a portable charger isn't that bad.. they hold at least one charge and are pretty small in size.
even if ONE S has a bigger battery, it certainly wont hold more then 2000mAh, and probably cause the same as a 3000-4000mAh portable charger.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-BJ83100-...281660?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a228cd63c
Just thought I would share a cheap accessory I found. This is a wireless charging module for a QI charging base. In the past I have bought alternative modules (this one) and they never seemed to work right. I would spend a lot of time moving my phone around trying to get the charge working(my wife always got so annoyed)... but this one does the trick.
I have a S4 Active and it works flawlessly, you may lose the water seal but it is worth it in my opinion. I picked it up at Tmart (here)... these guys have always taken care of me(fast shipping and so on).
Here are some pictures of how it looks, I also bought the gold battery works great and has great battery life(a little less than the OEM):
If you have never seen how this works... basically just insert the module, put the back of the phone back on and toss it on the charger. Hope this helps!

I don't get it.
Why bother with S4 Active (instead of regular S4) if you don't care about water seal???
What is the purpose of switching from original high quality Samsung battery for "gold" one with smaller capacity??? Does it have some other Austin Powers or Goldmember magic powers? Was it desperate move to get rid off NFC from your phone (you know, PRISM is watching us)?

I had the s4 and the active is much better, the LCD kills the amoled I'm and that was the selling point. Water resistance is still nice and I think if I was to drop it in water it would hold up a little better than the s4. I use the second battery as a back up so I can go multiple days without a charge. I don't use NFC much so no problem there. But thanks for your concern .
Oh almost forgot... the Active doesn't scratch or break as easy, it is a lot easier to see outside(screen)... it is what the S4 should have been... I like the hardware buttons because I don't accidently press the back button when playing games... The brush metal on the glass looks better than bubbles... It has a better build quality... Plus almost all the features of the regular S4....

Yes, now it seems quite reasonable.
I personally prefer SAMOLED over LCD, so I think it is great move of Samsung, that they differentiated Galaxy line so much, that everybody could much features and specifications set to their preferences/usage/needs.
Keep in mind, that S4 Active uses Gorilla Glass 2, while regular S4 have latest version - Gorilla Glass 3 (it is 40% more scratch resistant and 50% stronger by manufacturer's specs).
btw. gsmarena rated battery endurance factor (measures battery lifetime for average usage model) for regular S4 S600 for 69h. For S4 Active they measured 57h. It is half day difference. That was for stock batteries in both phones. If you switch S4 Active stock battery with non-genuine battery ("gold" or other questionable zerolemon etc.) this difference will be even more than half day. Probably close to one day. This is huge difference in real life experience.

Well on the s4 I have used I got scratches on the plastic easily, the active has taken everything I have thrown at it and not even a tiny scratch has surfaced. The glass is less but it is also cheaper to replaced... The lcd and digitizer is only 100 bucks which is half the cost of the s4's equivalent part. The battery life between the s4 I have and the active seem the same and I can get easily 24 hours on a charge with about 2 to 3 hours of screen time. The gold battery is perfect for what I use it for and I am well pleased. The LCD looks much better than the amoled, I had to return it because of the cartoonish looks and ugly whites personally it was a turn off. If they would just get rid of their pentile pixel layout the screen would be amazing.
Basically you have 2 types of people, some love over saturated screen and some like natural. Samsung has got both camps covered with both of these phones. For me the active is the phone I have been waiting for from Samsung. The regular s4 is awesome and I wish they had a version with lcd but the only choice I have is this beautiful active.

I have around 4 to 4 and a half hours of SOT with the Z5 ( thats bad compared to 6-7 hours I get from my iPhone 7 ), I wonder if I can get a better battery life with the XZ?
I also think of flashing the UK rom to enable the fingerprints but I have no idea where to get the rom and how to flash it. I heard some one flashed the 7.0 one and bricked the phone so please me some advices and tutorial if you don't mind.

Not sure what to say about the battery life since I always have it on max brightness. The battery life is fine, I charge my XZ every night but I have not paid any attention to the SOT. Maybe someone else can give you a better idea about actual screen on time that they have experienced.
I am in the U.S and bought my XZ from Clove UK so I didnt have to flash anything to enable fingerprint functionality. However I did have to flash MM again after updating to Nougat and getting a very laggy UI and not being able to retrieve my contacts and messages. It was my first time doing it but it was easy. I flashed the Central Europe firmware instead of the Customized UK one. Now I see LTE on the status bar. The Customized UK shows it as 4G but its the same thing. My phone originally came with the UK firmware but the Central Europe firmware to me is more stable. Here is the tutorial I used http://www.xperiablog.net/2016/03/12/install-xperia-marshmallow-using-flashtool-and-xperifirm-guide/
Just read it carefully first, then follow the steps and you will be fine.
After flashing you can use PC Companion or ur phone to update to Nougat. That's if the update is out.
I get a minimum of 7.5, often 8.5 hours of SOT from my XZ. I don't play any games however; my usage comprises solely of heavy web browsing, calls, Whatsapp, SMS and five hourly synched email accounts.

Do you have any tempered glass screen protector to recommend? I ordered some on Amazon but they just dont stick to the 2 sides due to the curved screen of the XZ.

This is the one I have. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LWPF0NU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It comes in a 2 pack. It works for me but it might not be for everyone. The curved screen protectors I have heard are not good. The one I bought in the link is a tiny bit smaller than the screen so it wont raise up since it is flat and doesnt touch the rounded part. I dont mind the fit bc the screen protector has all the right cutouts so to me it's perfect. Its up to you if you want to buy it tho.

It's not a very good picture I took it with my Z3 Tablet. When i installed it i did manage to get dust under so the edge so that's what u see on the edge. However the screen protector is firmly stuck on the screen. It's hard to take off once it's on so dont worry about it sliding off or separating from the corners.

Agree!! The phone only get little warm instead of extremely hot like the Z5. Battery life has been awesome.
