Hi there!
I hope you can help me because I can't seem the find answers anywhere else:
When I'm filming on the x50 pro the screen dims after 12 sec. When filming in full sunlight, I can't hardly see what I'm filming. It's really irritating me. I think it has something to do with the settings I've copied from my previously phone (OnePlus 3t ,. Android 9) with the clone phone app by oppo. I think that maybe the setting: 'adaptive brightness' is the blame but I can't turn this off in android 10. Does anyone know if this could be the problem? Or is it fixed otherwise? Please help.
PS. I'm from Holland so excuse me if my English isn't that good.

Hello XDA Dev, I am new here and don't know where else to go for advice.
I recently aquired a Sony M4 Experia Aqua (E2303 I believe) and the brightness is stuck on full brightness all of the time. I have tested to see if the auto brightness hardware sensor was still working and the values change whenever I cover it or remove my hand, so it looks like a software issue. I did a factory reset, reinstalled the OS using the software 'Xperia companion' and I still have the same issue - full brightness. I have however, managed to obtain an application that dims the screen brightness, it's called 'Night Mode'. It's sorted it out, so the phone doesn't burn my retinas every time I look at it in the morning, but I can't let go of trying to fix this. I have looked everywhere online, many people say they have the same problem, but they never seem to come up wth or find a solution. I really liked the adaptive brightness on my other M4 Aqua, I got this one as a replacement. I have a Samsung phone with a decent Android set up on it, so I wondered if I could transfer the OS from that phone to this one?

Greetings and welcome to assit. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to transfer the os but you could install a custom rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/development
and see if that fixes the issue. Also there is an app called lux on xda/playstore that may help
Good Luck

Hi all,
Just got this Mi Note 10 today and while setting up the phone I started to get those weird screen touches..
Happened so often that I enabled 'Show Taps' via developer options and recorded it here:

Any thoughts welcome!
thanks

Okay, this is weird. Which version is it? And did you have already tried to reset your device? If it's still there it's probably a hardware defect.

Well, I had the same MIUI version and region. I bet it's not a software problem. Just send it back

Right, so no fix really... disappointing as the cameras are impressive
My device came shipped with Android Pie Based Miui 11, no screen weirdness. Just after the Android 10 updates that ghost touches appear. So I guess it's just software bug.
me too, sure software problem.
Thanks for the feedback, if software-related were you able to roll back to fix this?
Happy to try a workaround as I'm very reluctant to send it back..
worth a try though, but unfortunately Xiaomi didn't provide stock ROM specifically for my region so I left with no choice
Completely puzzled as I did a Factory Reset via Recovery and haven't seen the issue for past 2 days, I've left the screen touch tracing on and no 'ghost touch' was recorded..
so I don't know what to believe anymore, got an open return ticket but would hate to send it back without needing to..
how can I make sure issue is gone?
Hi, i had this problem 3 weeks ago, temporary solved with hard reset, worked perfectly until yesterday night when this problem went back.
Hard reset again, problem still there.
Someone solved it permanently?
It is really weird because, if i turn off/on the display, sometime works sometime not :S
The phone came with Android 9 and I started to face this after updating to Android 10. The issue is not extreme as shown in the video, it just the touch becomes slow to respond and hard to type fast with the keyboard. Turning off the screen and turning back on solves it temporarily sometimes.
I tried disabling on screen fingerprint and the problem seems to be reduced now. Definitely a software bug
I'm using Mi note 10 lite it also has same problem. Sometime touch freezing and after press power button automatically fix. Some time need to restart. And also one person told me he is fixed by this issue by turned off fingerprint sensor.

I have the exact same problem as you, slow to respond and hard to type. Need to apply more force on the screen for it to respond. This happened randomly throughout the day but are more common during night time for me.
I think it has something to do with the screen lock pin or fingerprint, by changing the screen lock from ie pin to pattern or turning off fingerprint print seems to temporary fix the issue. Another solution is to reboot the phone. I'm using Note 10 Lite btw.

I am using the Pro version. Looks like this issue is common for all the phone models in the Note 10 series. Yes, I have noticed that this issue often happens at night.
Try switching off MIUI optimization under Developer Options and restart your device. Then switch it On and restart again. This workaround solved my issue.

This fixed the issue for a few days and it started to reappear again. When the issue appears, if I turn on Game Turbo for any app (eg: WhatsApp) that particular app doesn't have this touch issue. Looks like a software optimization or battery optimization of MIUI is causing this issue

What firmware version are u in?
I'm currently at 11.0.16.0 and fortunately this issue did not yet reappeared after the workaround.
This is definitely a software ISSUE with MIUI.

MIUI 11.1.3.0 Global Stable
Will try out the MIUI optimization to see whether issue still arise. I'll see if my game turbo have the same issue as you too.
I'm currently at 11.0.7.0 (Mi Note 10 Lite)
Edit: Mi optimisation doesn't work for me but the Game Turbo trick do work.
I flashed my P905 with Android 10 (17.1) . All things are running well. Phantastic work of the developers, many thanks. I only have a problem with the displayrotation. For example, if facebook is running and facebook change the display from horizontal to vertical, for example when i share something, the display will not come back to horizontal. It has nothing to do with the switch for displaychanging. Only a new start is helpfull. Also when i shake the Tablet, nothing happens with the display.
I think, it is a softwarebug. Can somebody say something for that problem?
Best regards
Roger

Well... I have Android 9 (16.0) here and display rotation is also buged. For me, when It crash and still in a position, I need to disable autorotation in system configs with the tablet in inverse position. So the screen goes to the correct position and I can turn on autorotation again.

Ever since updating to ColourOS11, android auto has been freezing on me when the screen is off however activating the screen will unfreeze it.
Is anyone else experiencing this or if anyone knows a fix besides 30m screen timeout.
The issue's been mentioned on a couple of other threads, from what I've read it seems to be a Android 11 issue in general, not just limited to Oppo / ColorOS. Haven't seen a way to fix this so far, seems like one has to wait for an update to fix it and until then keep the screen on...

Yea I had a look through some other threads. Turning off AOD and Fingerprint while screen off seems to somewhat work abiet still glitchly. Been in contact with Oppo who seems to only want me to send the phone into the service centre but I am waiting for Christmas break to be over and send it then otherwise hopefully a update by then but doubts.
I just had the issue, but by leaving it plugged in and letting the connection time out, it reset and connected. Took about a minute.
I finally got the ColorOS 11 update and now Android Auto is having this issue. Really rather annoying as I've only just got a new car and had Android Auto so was enjoying it!
Basically same issue where the car screen just locks up until you unlock the phone screen (i still get audio prompts for directions in google maps etc so Android Auto is still running). Seems to be a standoff between the OEM's and Google. Looking at other forums some OnePlus phones have the same issue (BBK group thing perhaps!)

I solved this issue going into developer options and activating the "keep screen on while charging" mode. The display will remain on, but with a very low brightness level.
Hi all, after updating my S21+ to Android 12 there is no more option to change the screen resolution under Settings > Display.
Did it happen to someone else? Any idea on how to restore it?
Thanks
I'm wondering the same damn thing. Phone rebooted so after the update and everything looks a little bit larger and I figured the resolution change I had made when I got the phone got overwritten. Looks like sure enough and now the option to change it is missing or in a different place... Laaaaaame
there was never this resolution setting for S21 and S21+ since launch. it is only available for S21 Ultra..

I had it before, and it's still described in the user guide in the menu and in the downloadable PDF on Samsung Support website. Exynos version.

So on reddit someone suggested changing the screen zoom. That worked for me. Apparently the upodate derped that setting so I had to go in and up tick it then down tick it to where it started to get back to what I was used to seeing. Solved.

It doesn't exist any kind of that setting. Just on ultra. And I have no problem at all with android 12. It works flawlessly.

There is no setting also on my end since android 11. However you have an option to change the Minimum width on Developer settings. The latest update of android 12 fix the screen zoom issue, they revet back the Minimum width to 411
