[Q] Google Wallet

Hi all,
What are the requirements to use google wallet on your phone? I understand its an app which is downloaded but what spec do you need on your phone to use it?
Also I am in the UK and just wondering which shops people have seen the terminals in?
I know McDonalds have it but hardly eat there.

NFC and the Secure Element are the requirements.
I use the app PayPass Locator to find who accepts it. 400 retailers use it near me.

Whats NFC? And is there somewhere I can go to find a list of phones that have these requirements?

Only a few phones support it...the GSII, Nexus, and a couple others. The NFC antenna is located in the battery too, so it's not something you can just activate with a custom ROM.

my contract is coming to an end. just wondering whether its worth going for a handset with the antenna or is it just a gimmick?

^ you need to download a version that doesn't check your location. I've read several people from the UK that use it.

First off, you're in the wrong section completely. We have specific "Want to Buy" and "Want to Sell" sections. Secondly you don't have access to them because you haven't been here for at least a year; you'll have access June 2013. Thirdly and lastly, you can't sell this on XDA regardless; it's not phone or device related.

From past experience, I would recommend the Tunebelt armband. I have not bought one for the Nexus 4 yet but I will soon. I had a Tunebelt for my Samsung Galaxy S(original) and I was able to use it with my HTC One X, a tight fit without a case, but it worked. They are very comfortable and have a considerable amount of stretch to them. You may be able to get one of the ones designed for a larger phone if you plan on using a case with the Nexus 4. Make sure you measure your arm to see if you need the extender which is sold separately.
