Downgrade from 10.3.4 to 10.3.3 - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, How do I downgrade from stock unrooted 10.3.4 to 10.3.3? Can I simply install the full OTA file via local upgrade? The reason is that I'd like to install Resurrection Rom which is needs 10.3.3 as base. Of course, I'll root the phone once it's on 10.3.3.
Also, the ROM page says I need to install OOS on both slots on TWRP. How do I do this? I'd assume that if the device on stock OOS from the start, that would mean that OOS is on both the slots. Isn't this so? Pls help

Back up your data, download the full version on oxygen updater, delete all in twrp so that 0000, connect to pc to add the 2.3gb OOS, go back to flash. It will flash OOS official both slots and you will go back to stock, you can root and twrp with tool all in one after back on stock. If that for someone reason doesn't work try the fast boot rom in tool all in one, recovery firmware, delete all option. I have done this option before to lock bootloader back

[GM-1910 OP7PRO] Reset everything back to Oxygen OS ( Help:( )

Hey I was experiencing some display issues so I flashed a custom ROM to test / narrow the problem (hardware issue sadly).
—Now I'm not sure how to revert back to completely stock as I've never unlocked the bootloader and worked much with fastboot.
On Samsung's you just download the official stock file, get Odin and put the file into AP, flash, done.
On one plus this is a bit different, first of all there's barely any mentioning of GM-1910 in the MSMDownloaderTool thread(s), I also don't want to have Hydrogen OS.
—My OP7Pro came with Oxygen OS pre-installed, GM1910 "international version" ← def. Chinese with oxygen flashed over it.
*What have you altered so far?*
Unlocked Bootloader/OEM
Flashed TWRP with fastboot
Flashed Havoc 3.0 OS, Magisk, OpenGapps
My perspective on the nature of special relativity.
*What do I want to reset?*
EVERYTHING, ROM, recovery, bootloader, you name it, I don't care about apps and pictures. worth noting I have a One plus Switch Backup, does that help?
Look for the MSM tool... that can reset the phone completely back to stock.

You can use the fastboot ROM or Guac (MSM tool for oxygen OS). Links below:

excuse my stupidity but given that I want to get rid of my custom ROM and back to stock oxygen which tool do I have to use?
secondly all images (androidfilehost) for the second link are for GM1911,17,13,15 but mine is 1910 which is not listed, what do I do now?

I am sorry but I am not familiar with Chinese stock ROMs. For some reason, I got the impression that you wanted to restore it to an international version and not the Chinese/HK version. You may want to post a question in the OnePlus community forum or check out their download section for your specific model.

no no I want to restore it to international version, the phone itself is GM1910. should I flash GM21AA file or the global file?
I think I will go with the global file, makes most sense in this moment

GM21AA should be fine. If you decided to use the MSM tool (the one in the first link), hardest part is to get the L2/qualcomm drivers installed on your PC with the method described. Alternatively you can download and install the drivers yourself which will make the job easier. This will LOCK your bootloader and wipe off everything on your phone. You will get a brand new phone running 10.0.3 OS
Easiet way would be to go fastboot ROM route. It will also wipe your phone but won't lock the bootloader. Once installation is complete you could use the adb command to lock the bootloader. It's one extra step but may be much easier IMO. Download the zip file on PC>unzip it>Hit flash all bat file while the phone is connected in the fastboot mode. You may get some error messages regarding header parsing, ignore them and sit tight until your phone boots.
Good luck!!
WORKS NOW! Can confirm this reverts all back to stock (it will revert back to Oxygen OS (OOS) 9.5 so you'll have to update to Android 10 via OTA if you want)
For anyone wondering, I had Android 10 installed before / Havoc 3.0 and the MSMTool will revert you back to Oxygen OS 9.5. Widevine jumped back to L1 so everything should be stock.
If you have any questions, don't wait, I am sure someone out there had the same questions/issue as me and I hope this will help you.

Hey, I have a problem, I re-locked the bootloader, it is currently blocked, but my Widevine status is still L3, can you tell me if you used MsmTool first and then you did relock, or did you block the bootloader first?

How to get back to A10 after custom rom

Hi all so I am planning to install a Havoc OS on my phone with TWRP and Magisk
So my question is in the event that the install doesnt work out for me or that I dont like the rom (no rearson why I shouldnt) how do I get back to the original A10 rom?
I have downloaded the OxygenOS 10.0.6 [EU] OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.zip file from here already. Would I be able to go ahead boot into TWRP and flash this ifneeded?
TIA Bart

Hi Bart,
Make sure you keep TWRP recovery after flashing custom Rom.
Then if you want to go back, flash official Rom zip on both slots after formatting data otherwise it won't boot.
Thanks for that.
Only thing I'm not sure is what you mean by flashing to both slots?
If for example you get a boot loop can you still get into TWRP?
I assume this is a yes as this is before it boots into the phones OS?

When returning to stock,
format data
Flash stock zip
Flash TWRP
Reboot into recovery which is TWRP
Follow the same steps again and reboot...
If you end up in boot loop, don't stress. You can always flash TWRP recovery again via fastboot.

6T McClaren A6013 starts encrypted with stock ROM

I was trying to revert to stock ROM and re-root.
I've tried installing the latest Oxygen stock ROM via TWRP after a format. After initial setup prompts the phone has started encrypted.
I've also tried installing via the fastboot stock ROM. Same thing happens.
Obviously, this doesn't allow me to install Magisk among other things.
Is there a way to prevent the phone from encrypting after a fresh stock ROM install?

Question How do I go back to stock from Rooted One Plus 9 5G?

I've decided to sell off my phone My model is LE2110 and I'm on Oxygen OS, I have a root through Magisk. I'd like to wipe everything and put it back to stock. How do I do this? Thank you so much.
Bump, please help!
Bump, please help. I'd like to roll back my phone to completeley stock after taking the 12 update. And a bit scared I'm going to brick m new phone!
Just flash the OOS11 downgrade package for global linked in the pinned post here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-9-rom-ota-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.4254579/. You'll have to install the APK that's in that post as well. Put the downgrade zip in the root of the storage, open the app you just installed, hit the gear, and choose the zip. It will install, you reboot, it wipes the phone, boot up and take the first OTA it's offering that says C.48 or C.61 and it will actually take you to 11.2.10.10. From there, go to the bootloader and run fastboot oem lock. This will lock your LE2110 as if it was an LE2115.
If you want to go back to ColorOS and return it to a stock LE2110, download the ColorOS downgrade package from here - https://yun.daxiaamu.com/OnePlus_Roms_2/一加9/降级包(ColorOS 11.2 A.03)/ and do the same process with the APK to flash it. Again, take the first OTA so that you get rid of global on both slots, then you can reboot and lock the bootloader.

Question Tmo users who converted to global at A11-OOS11, how did you get to 13 rooted?

I cant do normal OTA updates, nor can I install them with the built in installer in settings (that I gained with conversion). Im not exactly sure why and trying to figure this out. Were you able to update as normal to A13?
Its possible I broke something (cant think of what), so Im restoring my after-root twrp "base" backup to see if it can OTA.
Figured Id ask in the meantime...

You have to uninstall magisk/restore images. Then start ota. Then before you reboot go into magisk again and install to opposite slot and reboot . After ota has installed. Stock boot image is the only way it works. It's will fail upon checksum of partitions by google
I figured as I just went back to my base savior A11 rom fresh root, and still nothing. Thank you!
Uninstall magisk it automatically restores boot images right?
*Actually do I need stock boot? I have twrp. Where do I get stock boot image?
Im screwed. Its unable to restore my old image from usb, so Im bricked now. No idea what to do.

Do you know how I can get back to stock boot?
NM found it. So to be sure, when i want to move from A11 I need to uninstall Magisk, boot to fastboot, then fastboot flash stock boot.img?
Here
^But I have twrp, so wont restoring just bring me to unlocked bootloader unrooted with twrp? (*still not stock?)
*Sorry for the questions. It just seems TWRP has problems restoring backup completely (or I missed something, I backed up everything in TWRP maybe I dont need to do that?).
Im trying to avoid what happened a couple nights ago, because I lost confidence in TWRP on this phone. Usually, its just something ****s up? Well restore your backup, because you just made one. That didn't work completely (it didn't restore /data), and I had to set up a ton I dont want to do again, unless Im on custom A13 rom. Got savegames!
Thanks for all help.
I was on android 12 with april 2022 security update, so it was a very very early android 12 build. I couldn't update via OTA cause I kept getting "update failed" I was rooted, had data I didn't wanna lose so I just ignored it.
I'm now on A13 with root. what I did was: MSM tool back to A11, update via OTA until I reach final official build, extract the boot file through msmtool, patched it with magisk, flashed it via fastboot, job done.
Couldnt Magisk patch boot image from app? Instead of extracting it? Thats how I did it on 11.
I also dont know how to use msm tool to get to 11, or even where to get files. *I think this is it? General - OnePlus 9 11.2.22.2 (T-Mobile) MSM Download Tool | XDA Forums
*Thats exactly whats happening to me too. update failed. So I guess this would be a sure fix.

Wait. How did you unlock bootloader (after MSM put your phone back to lock BL I assume)? Is the option later available on Tmobile roms? Did you need a token?

you get update failed bec. of the magisk image. you have to restore to stock image before you download the OTA. in magisk dashboard, go to uninstall magisk. choose RESTORE IMAGES. download the ota. do not reboot. go to magisk and install magisk. choose install Magisk after OTA (or something) then press Let's go. and reboot.

Doesn't having twrp boot image installed mean that magisk restored twrp image to when before magisk patches it (so it's not actually stock)? Doesn't it just restore a non rooted image with twrp on it?

This fails if you have TWRP.
