Roblox side loaded on quest - Oculus Quest

hello, has anyone side load the apk for roblox yet onto the quest. I have side load working but have yet to load my own apk. The vr I bought for my son and he really wants roblox on it but I just do not want to mess it up. He plays roblox all the time, and if i side load it like this i do not think it will work the way he is hoping too. Looking for someone who has done it.
Thanks

I am using the latest version of Roblox studio apk and never face any side load issue to enter Roblox promo codes. If you are using the latest version and enter the working code then it will definitely help.

I know I'm late but in case someone else comes looking for an answer, to play Roblox VR you need the Win32 (desktop windows) app and use oculus link (or air link)

Why should he edit the URL? Are you using Chrome? I've noticed it likes to fail on forums and when the forum shortens URLs and puts the "..." in place of the text it has taken out, chrome will think the ... is part of the actual URL.
That along with a few other problems Chrome had given me, has made me switch back to Firefox.
Anyways, here's the link.
Apparently the company is having problems finding a Android/Java developer.
It was posted in March, and there had been one reply by someone interested. So I'm not sure if someone has taken this project on or not.
Anyone know anymore of a Ventrilo app coming?

He fixed the link (see edit), but I think the link issue may have been fixed in the latest Chrome (if it supports WebM it should work, but I am stuck using Firefox myself for various reasons even though it still has memory link issues, esp. with certain plugins =p).
contagous, as far as Ventrilo/TeamSpeak/etc, what cody said still stands. Because they choose to stay closed-source there isn't even a way for Android developers to "take a whack at it". Part of the issue is that some of the codex they use are copyrighted themselves, but it's mostly an issue of them being closed-source. I know how cool it'd be to be in a game and have your buddies on a on your phone (either via speakerphone or even better, a bluetooth headset), but based on what I know we won't see it soon.

lol thanks, i was wondering if the linux version that was open source, someone would create something with that.
oh and this has nothing to do with games , i speak to my family on vent a lot, because we can all be in the same place and chat. See they are all back in UK, and im in Seattle WA
Anyways thanks, and maybe one day
Make them get Skype then =p, I believe you can do voice conferences in there (I have the hardest time getting my friends to install Skype, they always say "Well not a lot of people I know use it", to which I often reply, "That's the problem! Just download it and get the ball rolling!" and then bang my head up against a solid object for a few minutes =p.
Everyone has Skype, Skype is good but everyone all in one place without push to talk to crazy, BUT BUT check this out

They did it, and it works amazing, its still only in alpha testing but its awsome
they have a test version to download works fairly well too its a bit loud on the receiving side but for the most part good.

Very nice, I had not come across this alternative but it seems to have a really good flow going (I like that they support Android 1.5 - 2.2 already). I am going to setup a VMWare install tonight on my 8GB flashdrive that will be my Android workstation, I'll lend these guys any help I can.

[Q] ScummVM?

Does Scumm VM work on the TF? I do like palying under a steel sky or monkey island for example, and hoped that it would be pretty good with the larger screen.
I could have sworn I read somewhere in this forum that someone had mentioned ScummVM before. But it definitely did not say if it worked or not I searched for it but couldn't find anything.
UPDATE: The market version is not available for the TF but I'm gonna google for it
UPDATE 2: Here's the link. Got it to install but once I open it, after the initial SummVM screen it's only black
Adding to emulator thread
It works fine with most the games supported by it. For adventure games its so much easier to click places to find items on the larger screen. It's cool.
confirmed FullThrottle does work
So what am I doing wrong?
Sent from my TF101
Try going to http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=10066 it has a link to the latest nightly builds and they work great. Am currently playing beneath a steel sky myself.
I downloaded 1.3.0 from scummvm.org and though it's stated, that it's no longer supported, it works like a charm on Honeycomb 3.1 and all plugins are already integrated.
BTW ... a rightclick is done with two fingers. In Broken Sword 2 e.g. you move the mouse cursor to an inventory item without lifting your finger from the screen. If you now tap with a second finger anywhere on the screen, the item is examined.

Website to app?

Have an unruly Security DVR (Bosch 600). There's no app for it, no app that will run it, no decent way to look and control it from your phone. The DVR's console and live streaming is on the DVR's website. (this ip is direct to mine) 67.85.223.199:3001. The website is written like ****, bulky and I've seen several errors, I attempted to use phonegap and Titanium to kind of convert this into an app of somesort. It never works this the way this Javascript was written, I think it's the way it implements the use of a cookie. I was wondering if ya'll could have a looksie and let me know what I'm doing wrong and a step in the right direction perhaps? Yeah check out the site and view the source let me know what's the best way to go about this.

No Movie Studio Vid Editor on my GT6210 (US version)??

Hello,
Has anyone found a good alternative to Movie Studio? I've been using it on my Iconia A500 (10in. screen) and find it worth having. So other than the smaller screen, is there an oficial reason why we 7.0Plus owners didn't get this "standard" app.... or did everyone but me get it?
I've just downloaded a couple .apk's posted here to try to side load the app, but I guess I'm wondering if my GT6210 should have come with it in the first place.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Don't worry I'm on the same boat as you...have original tab my 7.0 Plus is on the way as we speak. Movie Studio is a huge improvement that I loved in the other Honeycomb tabs. I'll be sure to update you on if mine came with it. In the meantime, were you able to install a Movie Studio apk you've gotten your hands on?

Yes , I was able to install the "deodex" version from this thread http:// forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990465&page=2 - look for the file in post #12. But it didn't quite work for me. The UI doesn't adjust for the smaller screen (though the lower screen resolution is most likely the issue), so the video playback window blocks the top timeline and half of each control on either side. This made it basically unusable for me- the only good news is the app is otherwise working --clips imported, drag and scrubbing worked, imported clips played in that oversized preview window- without crashing. So if the UI could be tuned with a little hack-fu......
Anyway, hope this helps ya in some way. Please let me know if you find a solution. Thanks!
I just installed this app -AndroMedia https://market.android.com/details?id=com.techcatmobile.andromedia&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS50ZWNoY2F0bW9iaWxlLmFuZHJvbWVkaWEiXQ.. and so far I like what I see! It's free and looks like it can do the job. I've only done a quick test, but this may even be better than Movie Studio - though it has a small add at the bottom of the screen and the UI lacks Movie Studios modern look, but in some ways this one is more intuitive.
Worth checking out for sure!

Well I'm not sure if you want to install another app to do this, but there are multiple apps which allow you to "adjust" the resolution of your screen which should allow you to view the complete app. I know I saw a nice looking app for this purpose but unfortunately cannot remember it off the top of my head....I've also tried AndroMedia on my original tab which I have until my new tab comes tomorrow but it just FCs but am happy to try it again with the new dual-core! Hopefully we can get this figured out...just one of those apps I reallllly want!!

There are apps that will adjust my screen rez? I'm guessing they must simulate the different resolution, or are they tweaks/hacks? I've heard of the tweaks that change the dpi or pixel density, but none that change screen rez. I'd be most appreciative if you can recommend any reliable ones.
AndroMedia works fine on my GTab 7.0+- no FC's ... yet. Maybe by the time we get this video editor app figured out, Samsung will release a version that works with the smaller tabs, lol. I'm amazed at the lack of any real alternatives to Movie Studio.... isn't anyone using Android devices to shoot video? Or are they not doing anything more complex than 1 take shots...? Not to rub anyones nose in it, but check out what Avid just released for the iPad- http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/avid-studio/id491113378?mt=8 better than iMovie and will export working projects to Avid express! I just started working with it (I need to use iOS and Android for work) and have to say it's pretty amazing. Come on 'droid!
Anyway, thanks again for your input on this issue!

[Q] Has anyone been able to play Ravensword: Shadowlands?

I recently purchased a Shield to be my only & main Android gaming platform. The first game I spent money on was Ravensword: Shadowlands, but I cannot get it to launch using the controller. On startup, the game asks whether you would like to use a controller or not. If I select no, the game runs perfectly fine, but the Shield is unfortunately not designed with touch-only gaming in mind. When I do select yes, the game will make it past all the loading screens, get to the main menu as if it is running normally, but the menu itself wont load, just the background. It is animated and the sound does work.
I have scoured the internet for any sort of answer on this, and Crescent Moon Games (Developer) website seems to be down, so I cannot really contact anybody. I am sort of just looking to see if anyone else got it to launch, or if anyone else has experienced this issue with other games and discovered a workaround.
And thus it's not published as a game tile in SHIELD STORE.
i hope the game developers fix this.
This is definitely not a Nvidia issue!
I am really hoping the developers fix this; from what I have seen and played with the touch screen, the game is loads of fun (I did have pretty high expectations for $7.00 ) I would love to get ahold of the developers and inform them and help however I can, I'd like to think that would help. They might not even know that this game doesn't work with the Shield.
Anywho, has anyone encountered similar problems? At this point, I am willing to experiment to try and resolve this, but I am unfortunately a complete Android noob. I could post a video of the problem if that would help, but I do not know exactly how to capture whats happening on the Shield's screen.

Done and done.
I will try and update this list more often, my Steam game list is massive (365 titles and growing) and it is the weekend.
I don't have a shield but this game does this on my device when I try to load with controller.

I have the exact same issue with my Shield. hangs up at the start screen, with no buttons displayed, with that giant black spot in the background.
I have the same error on all my Android devices when I have a bluetooth gamepad connected. I think the developer has pretty much given up on the game at this point.
I've contacted the veleoper a few weeks ago.
He told me it isn't optimized for Shield...
"The game doesn't support Nvidia shield, sorry for the trouble."

the first time I ran ravenssword in controller support mode I actually got it to work. it went to the game menu But none of the buttons on the controller work.the second time I actually ran it. it did the whole working background but frozen menu deal. with my experience with computers the only thing that I could say that would help is maybe you re installing the game
