change baseband version on at&T galaxy s7 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

My At&T s7 currently has this baseband g930aucubctb1. I previously had a s7 edge and was able to flash phone with a g935u baseband. It unbranded phone, it enabled wifi calling, caller id that is native to t mobile, I think so anyway. can I do that with my current s7?

Thanks. I have spent an hour trying to find a free download of the g930uuesbcta3 firmware. I have found 6 hour free download and anything at normal speed wants you to jump through hoops. Am I missing an easier way?

Use Sam Firm Tool attached .
unzip and run application as admin
Model - SM-G930U
Region - XAA
Hit check update then download.
SamFirm Tool pulls firmware straight from Samsung servers much faster than free downloads.
It will decrypt once downloaded and your left with a zip file.
Unzip and place the 4 files in Odin to flash the G930U firmware. Code XAA is unbranded USA.
Use CSC for a new phone completely wiped or CSC_HOME to keep your files and settings.

Still having issues, mayne if I give you a little more infor you can point me in the right direction.
I have a galaxy s7 snapdragon from ATT I was able to upgrade suing odin to G930AUCUBCTB1
I used samfirm as you suggested and I am trying to flash to the g930u firmware G930UUESBCTA3
odin fails as soon as I start to flash. I am using odin 3.13.1 sha256

It looks like you are trying to downgrade your firmware from TB1 to TA3 in the unbranded. You can't go down, only up. I think you need a G930UUESBCTB1 or newer in order to be successful in Odin.
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app

I used samfirm and 930u only has the firmware G930UUESBCTA3 my current firmware 930aucubctb1.
So I assume that my current firmware is a newer build than the 930u.
So without a later version of the u software and I don't think I can downgrade my current 930a.
I am out of luck until the u gets an upgraded firmware version,
Am I missing something?

Serial Number for Three (UK) SM-G920F

Can any one provide me with a Three (UK) S6 Serial number so that I can download the full official stock firmware via KEIS/Smart Switch? EDIT: I now have one from a display model PM me if you need the firmware
I need to change my unbranded (BTU) phone to The official Three firmware (H3G) (for 4G voice calling)
I bought an S6 from Amazon which came unlocked with AUT region software. I've managed to find and Flash an official BTU firmware via ODIN, however I cannot find a full OI9 H3G stock firmware.
FYI for BTU, the ones from the firmware page do not work for me (even with a PIT), I kept getting the Sw rev check fail device 3 binary 2 error. However a full official flash i.e. with the AP, BL, CP, CSC file did work. Which is why I need the serial number, or alternatively a full copy of the Firmware. I also do not wish to root/flash another recovery as I need KNOX.
Please PM me if you don't want to post on the live forum
Thanks!
I doubt someone would give their serial number, but I would suggest trying a PIT file, it may/may not trigger knox status but I did it to get EE Branded firmware for wifi calling and it worked.
Where did you get the fimware to flash to the BTU?

Already tried a PIT, didn't work... thats why I want the full firmware. I will just go and grab the serial from a display phone at a Three shop, thought XDA might be quicker tho.

As I said in your thread, I got the firmware from this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/guide-android-6-0-marshmallow-beta-how-t3277533 Its a full firmware download rather than the partials that are posted on the firmware page.
looks like @abdussamad tried it out and it solved his flashing problem as well

You have to use a custom PIT file in order for the hidden part to have enough storage so the Three firmware can work.

Looking for CORRECT Xfinity Mobile Samsung S8+ Firmware (CCT)

Hello everyone,
I am looking for the stock files for Xfinity Mobile. I can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm assuming because they are a new company no one has them really posted. The Only files I see are "no boatware" versions, but I actually need the true "xfinity" Version. Of course I have check Sam's and other sites, but they all have the incorrect information. By any chance can someone send me the correct firmware? (pulled Directly from your own device)
Thanks for any help

Using the SM-G955U model number and the CCT CSC gives the following results:
G955USQU1AQEH/G955UOYN1AQEH/G955USQU1AQEH/G955USQU1AQEH

Download SamFirm.
Enter SM-G955U model number and 'CCT' as the CSC, it'll take a few seconds to check and then present you with the firmware details and the download button. It'll save somewhere on your PC, extract it, follow the guide I linked above and you can have the CCT firmware on your phone.
The fw.updato.com site has it, but it's being glitchy right now, so it isn't giving me a direct link. Use SamFirm anyway, it's faster and its much easier to find the latest firmware.

I have a SM-G950U1 and I am trying to get a new XFinity Sim card to work (it does not connect to data right now). I tried using ODIN to install new firmware but that did not help. I just noticed, however, that the firmware for the SM-G950U model allows you to select the provider, but the SM-G950U1 firmware does not. Could this be a problem? I can't find firmware for SM-G950U1 for Comcast. Should I try installing the firmware for the incorrect model ( SM-G950U) so I can specify the carrier?

Going back to SM-G955W from SM-G955U

Hi i bought a second hand s8+(SM-G955U) it was still on nougat and i didn't get any OTAs, so i update it to Oreo with Odin. I still dont get OTAs, and i never could find my CSC related firmware in g955u models on sammobile. so i looked up my device in IMEI.info and find there that my device is actually G955W and from there i also found my CSC based firmware in Canada my CSC is XAC. I just also find on the back cover of my phone that my s8+ is actually SM-G955W. so my question here is how could i go back to g955w firmware? Just download g955w firmware and flash it through odin?
In setting my phone is
SM-G955U
Baseband version G955USQU5CRL2
Service provider SW ver.
XAA/XAA/XAC
and the firmware ive downloaded from SamFirm is
Model Sm-G955W
Region XAC
PDA G955WVLU5BRJ2
CSC G955WOYA5BRJ2
Please i really need help i dont know what to do here.

Use the patched version of Odin. Just search Google for "patched Odin" & you'll find it. However, if you use the G955W version of the firmware, you'll lose several features of your phone. For example, the G955W firmware disables the FM Radio. Good luck.

Unable to flash AT&T firmware on regular Note 10

I have flashed both the ATT and USC firmwares for the SM-N970U1 but still no wifi calling option. At this point I don't know if I've actually flashed the ATT firmware or not. Odin says Pass. Under the Service Provider SW ver. it makes mention of ATT/ATT/XAA but I'm not sure if that means the phone is on the ATT network or if that's firmware info. How do I tell what firmware I've actually flashed?

I suggest looking for that thread its exactly what you need
That thread is for the Note 10 plus. I'm asking about the Note 10. That's where I got the idea to flash the USC version from but like I said, didn't work.

Of course samsung has to make it difficult lol
I used the home_csc file instead of the csc. That should not have been an issue. I assume I'm still on the unlocked firmware but I have no clue. I don't see any AT&T bloatware or Logo. I downloaded the firmwares from the sammobile site. Even downloaded from the samfirm app just in case. So I flashed 3 times. No difference.

Maybe ATT doesn't put their firmware online as I tried searching and couldn't find on SamFirm. I am on T-Mobile and we have 2 different firmware versions.
If I type in SamFirm the following:
1) SM-N970U1 and region: TMB - I will get pretty much same unlocked firmware that I had on the phone, nothing will pretty much change after flashing this firmware.
2) SM-N970U and region: TMB - I will get T-Mobile firmware that is on their branded devices and all features.
Ask the OP in the below thread for latest ATT firmware file(userdata). If you recently flashed firmware, but the firmware in the thread is a bit older, you may not be able to flash until newer version is released.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10/how-to/n970u-n970u1-firmware-links-t3957705
So should I search for SM-N970U and ATT instead?
I did also do an ota update when I first got my phone so I have the August security update. Not sure if that's an issue since I have newer update?

Normally that is correct, but it doesn't look like ATT is putting their firmware up on server as other carriers do.
Go to the link I provided of that thread. Click on the first link that says U firmware. Then look a bit down where is says: SGO - 1 - 9.0. After this link opens, you will see first 2 files: N970U_SGO_1.zip and USERDATA_ATT... You can try to download these files, extract to a folder and flash including the userdata file. If it fails, then you may need to wait until this person provides new firmware and you will need to download the firmware and that userdata_att
Yeah At&t is horrible about posting firmware. I usually just use USC firmware and once installed it will provision to At&t based on sim and you will get all At&t carrier options such as Volte..wificalling..advanced messaging.

S7 SM-G930V Need advice for a flash! I'm lost !

Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930V and I cannot receive and send MMS.
I am in France
I made several adjustments in the apn, but in vain.
So I want to flash the phone to see if it solves MMS problems.
Problem, I can't find the right files for the file.
I installed this one
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7/firmware/SM-G930V/VZW/download/G930VVRSBCTC1/329889/
And that installed a VERIZON overlay and that wasn’t what I wanted at all and it didn’t solve my problems.
Can you tell me the right files without operator overlay?
thank you in advance
Hello
can you tell me that original firmware version to this phone?
thank you
Nobody knows ?
Your best bet would be flashing the G930U firmware, it's the generic non-carrier specific firmware intended for carrier unlocked phones. It would have the best chance working in Europe.

Make sure you flash all 4 files (AP, BL, CP, CSC), make sure you use CSC and not Home_CSC, this will wipe data but it will be necessary to fix your issues

It looks like you have an g930A (which is AT&T) as your PDA version, where it should be g930V or g930U. Make sure you download and flash all 4 files (BL, AP, CSC, CP). You can get the unbranded firmware from the same place you got the other at samobile. That is the G930U firmware.

You cannot flash because the bootloader version is B11. Most threads don't mention the bootloader issue, either because the thread is old, or not enough people updated their firmware to experience the issue.
I started a thread about it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/help/question-rev-b-11-bootloader-t4167637
