As far as cases for this badboy go in November 2020 - I had a hard time finding something I wanted to use. From threads all over the place it appears most manufacturers don't want to have much to do with the phone. I don't blame them much. DOzens of us doesn't make for a very profitable product line.
I bought these this morning, should be arriving Tuesday. I'll see how they go.

Cases and whatnot came today. That first one, the Dzxouui, boy, that's a tricky one. They tried to be slick on the button side - I mean, it's right there. BUt, it's too flimsy, doesn't line up. The only way it's better than the case motorola provided in the box is in its rigidity. I don't think their plan on the button side worked out. It's a tricky phone to cradle and I'll keep this case around, give it another chance. It's sexy as fuk, but, that's like love in a marriage - it just ain't enough.
The E-Began is a different story - but, it's an altogether different sort of case. 'Course, this one is meatier and they reduce the waterfall magic a bit. I'll have to see how easy it still is to get to that fancy slider on the left side. I don't even use it, but, I want to be able to for that one time. This case is 2 pieces. It's got a frame for the top side and the case it all fits into. No screen protector built in and I knew that going in. SO, you put that top frame on one time and then you seat it all into the thick bounded cradle. Same as it ever was. It's a snug fit. It's a really snug fit. I can't whip the phone across the room like the x pure with the supcase on it using this e-began, but, I think it's the best protector out there. THe edge has been out, what, almost a year? Yeah, this blacksheep ain't getting many more like this if they didn't already start rolling them off the line.
If you dig the phone because it's super sexy and you're down with all that slim tightness, the e-began mocks your joy. The case happily widens the phone and thiccs up its profile. It's all about that extra slice, you know? LIke your mom.
There's a hard plastic transparent bottom to this case that's cut too tight. It pops up just a little around the cameras - lower right especially. I say this because now it's a second - I read that another guy said the same thing. Looks like it's a thing. It doesn't lay-up too high, but, the other guy said a lot of dust got in there. I'll be vigilant.
I'm happier with this case becasue it fits my lifestyle better than the moto provided one and that sexy-but-missed Dzxouui. It's not like I abuse phones, it's more that I want to feel comfortable holding it. I"m a builder - I don't want a slippery thing I gotta be ginger with when I ever reach for it. As a rule I leave my phone in my car anyway, but, there's those times.
Another thing I like about the e-began is that it keeps the screen higher off of whatever surface you put it on - the top and bottom ridges are taller than theother two cases and I'm a big fan. I didn't even like putting this thing down on its face becase of how close it sits to the surface until this case.
I'll start messing with the screen protectors a little later. You know.

Wallet case, the only problem is camera, but protection is great, and leather bound.

if anyone wants a liquid silicone case, just like in iphones, there is no possibility of achieving one (tried 3 times from aliexpress).
as a interesting fact, there is an official case for Edge / Edge Plus directly from Motorola, but it's Brasil only, so cannot even ship it worldwide.

Yeah, that poetic case you got looks way better at keeping debris out of the back of the phone than the e-bagan one that I got. I'll probably buy that bad-boy today.

How do the screen protectors effect the fingerprint sensor? Can I infer from the lack of complaints, that it's not a problem at all?

I have a screen protector on, it's not an issue for the fingerprint reader at all.

This works for the regular Edge? It says it's for the +.

Perfect fit. I'm not sure their purpose on a gorilla glass screen, though. They scratch (tiny hairlines) and peel up in a corner when reapplying a case. IN any case - if you want a plastic screen 'protector' for your edge phone this one is terrific.

And regarding your last post, I actually broke the screen and it cost me $200 to replace. It is possible to break. It was in a pocket it shouldn't have been while I was riding my bicycle. I'm not sure what it hit but it was a direct impact to the screen (as opposed to a corner impact). I was deciding between a screen protector and a case. I'll use a screen protector for now.

Dang. Also, how do you keep this slippery candy-bar in your hand without a case? I'm a builder so my hands are dry and rough - zero friction to hold this phone.

Best M9 Case/Screen Protector list

Accessory makers are now setting up pre-orders for M9 case, cool and best cases are now showing up in tech shopping sites ItsSkins, Spigen RooCase and other companies already started to offer cases.
Just share here your best founding here.
I am exciting about the new m9
Will do a rank of the case, many reviews, I really hope I can help people to find out the proper cases meet the needs
Ill buy tech armor protectors and a diztronic or tech impact 21 black case. Thats what i had for my m8.
http://mimeusa.com/ has added HTC One (M9) to their dropdown menu listing HTC phones they have tempered glass screen protectors for. The link doesn't go anywhere yet but it pretty much confirms that they'll be making screen protectors for it. I'm planning on getting the 0.15mm Feather Glass screen protector. (I'm hoping it will be the Feather+ Glass with rounded edges that they have for iPhone 6)
I'm not sure yet. I might start with one of the official cases and get a Spiegen on discount.
It's so hard to tell for screen protectors until there are some reviews.... Like with the iphone 6, like NONE of the companies had a good screen protector for my daughter's phone for about a month after the phone came out
htc m9 glass screen protectors
i have been using the following brands for years and can vouch for them both
Casebase
Orzly
I can see links on amazon for both companies.
http://www.amazon.com/Orzly®-Temper...&keywords=htc+m9+orzly+glass+screen+protector
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CaseBase®-P...425420774&sr=8-1&keywords=htc+m9+glass+screen
I hope this helps. The casebase twin pack is really good value. Iv always trusted Orzly because i like there cases. Both companies have a good range of cases online as well
I will buy ivoler case,I once bought the iVoler dot view case for my M8, I absolutely love it. I work for Sprint and I use my phone all day everyday between work and at home. I have to say it has the "wow" factor as well as very usable gestures. I have used several flip case's like this in the past and have had up and down thoughts about them, however this is the best out of all that I have used. Some reviews say that it makes the phone awkward to use with the flap open, however in all honesty anytime you use a case like this its not the same as a naked phone or regular case. The rubber that makes up the front is very soft and is easy to manipulate while folded back, and I have had no problems with it staying flat on the screen. I have carried the phone in levi's as well as slacks and the rubber surprisingly doesn't grab or make it hard to go in and out of the pocket. I did receive the gray case not the black, however I believe the warm black was intended to be this color. I would highly recommend this case to anybody, you will not be dissatisfied unless you have never used a flip style case and at that point you may not like it. Well worth the try and the money!!!
Came across this video on YouTube, features quite a few cool cases. You might want to pause the video to read up on the pros and cons as it goes a little too quick.
I'm hoping for the dot view to come out soon, if not I'll go for a fusion, love that it shows off the back of the phone.
I have used a few of the Aerios branded screen protectors recently and they seem quite good.

What I pre-ordered for the M9 @ Amazon UK

IMO Incipio and Spigen make the best cases out of any manufacturer. Sure Otterbox and a few others make cases that provide more protection, but when it comes to quality & style Spigen and Incipio are King.

Are expensive branded cases really better than generic ones?

I'm currently waiting for my Moto X (2nd gen...) to arrive and searching for a case & screen protector.
I live in Israel and so prices are higher than in the US if I include shipping and so on. For example the Supcase bumper case which I assume will be best for me costs about 33$.
I've also checked Chinese sites like Ali Express and I can find all kind of cases for 1$-5$ and shipping is free. I'm wondering if there's any significant difference between those higher-priced branded cases to and generic ones in terms of protection. My current Moto G has a Trident Aegis case which is great but also pretty expensive - I'm wondering if I should again invest in a such a case (though not so bulky as this one) or I can go with one for 4$-5$ and get pretty good protection.
I WON'T compromise on protection but if I can get it for less money it's of course better.
I bought myself a cheap case for $6 the day I got my Moto X. Thankfully, it has got enough and adequate protection all around its back as well as the sides of the phone. It has cutouts for camera, microphones and the power and volume buttons. The expensive ones are just branded and have some cooler designs, but protection; meh. I'd personally look for how thick is it and what material it it made of and if it covers the sides of the phone. The cover should be moderately thick, preferably thin on the sides, but should cover up the sides and make the phone rest on the case when placed screen down. The materials I would look for is some softer material like soft plastic so it provides maximum bump protection. DO NOT go with the expensive ones. They serve no purpose. The cheap ones protect my phone from bumps on flat screen all the time.

Thanks. I've just read many reviews that say the phone is extremely fragile. Any recommended cheap but protective case? Can those generic case can even be named online?
Not really. Bought it from a local shop, doesn't belong to some shiny high end company. But it is decent enough. The phone isn't fragile by any means. It is the most sturdy frame I've seen to date. The screen however curves to the sides of the device, so a side drop will break the screen unless you use a case.

Otterbox Defender Pro For Note 9

I was going to get the clear view case from Samsung but Best Buy didn't have any when i picked up my phone but they had the Defender Pro so i got it instead. It's pretty nice i do prefer the screenless Otterbox cases so its nice there is no plastic over it! Don't know why they brand it a Pro case it's the same as any other Defender 2 layers and comes with a holster.
I made a video of it if anyone wants to see how it looks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cLkiLP4FZ0

It's got a antimicrobial coating on it i guess. I was looking on Otterbox.com and they aren't branded Defender Pro on there it just says Defender and they don't have the same back with the bars its just the standard back. So idk if the "pro" is a Best Buy thing or what
My local AT&T Corporate store had 10 Samsung Clear View cases on the shelf. I think it was $40.

Firstly great video, thanks.
Secondly, I never trusted cases with hard inner shells. A bit of sand or dirt will run riot on the glass back or frame edges of the device.

Buying a case from Best Buy is crazy. That should NEVER be an option. Their prices are high as isht! I saw a basic clear rubber/plastic cover on their website for $44.95. Many of their cases are the same ones sold by chinese manufacturers. They're just rebranded.

Good video. Here we are 2 years later; I just purchased this case for $17 from an ebay seller (still in its box w/ clip) for a Note 9 N9600 (International Unlocked) I bought a month ago (512gb version brand new in box still for under $500). Both the phone and case are great. The hard inner shell's inner back is cushioned w/ what amounts to a "mini-mattress." The case feels good in the hand. Only drawback is one can't see the phone's elegance... but for someone as paranoid as I am about a glass phone, that's a small loss. The screen isn't super well protected if dropped on an uneven surface where a rock sticking up or whatever could strike the screen in spite of the ridges at the case's ends. But I'm willing to risk that much; the rest of the case is great, and most surfaces I encounter are floor-like w/o rocks/uneven surfaces and the case would more than suffice.
For the Note 9 Screen check out the LOCA glue tempered glass option. It's about the clearest and best straight forward screen protector you can get for curved displays. I think it may not work with the otterbox due to the extra size protecting the curve. Personally I would stick the LOCA tempered glass on and then stick another thick flat tempered glass on top of that. It's virtually guaranteed people will crack these curved screens, and very expensive to repair them!

Thanks. The NFC not working would be the bigger problem. I don't want to try and get my note 9 out the otterbox each time at the till.

Okay folks - got the Otterbox defender today and can confirm it seems to work fine with NFC (Samsung Pay/Google pay) at local supermarket till. Also can use a wireless charger on it - but have to place the charger carefully in one spot nearly over the back cameras to work, so barely worth the effort. I can see why people rave about the case - its got a lovely grippy outer TPU skin and the screen is well protected by top and bottom lip projections . Buttons work great and ports are well protected. Makes the phone bigger but I find it easier to grip and use. I can absolutely believe it will survive any fall. This is well armored. Needs a Film protector for the screen though, I want it so keys and change will not hurt it. I fear a glass protector won't work, because its so tight and secure.
Previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S7 in a clear TPU case. I dropped it by accident 1 & 1/2 feet off a coffee table and smugly thought 'Thank god I have it in a case not like those other idiots!'. I then picked it up and found it had hit a corner and the display had cracked a tiny bit and went permanently dark. Could not believe the phone screen was broken due to the tiny drop and being in a case.
Corner protection is essential. The Note 9 is massively protected in this. I doubt a 10 foot drop would hurt it! Well pleased with it! Even have the belt carry unit with it but doubt I will be using that. The case on its own doesn't add too much bulk and can still slip it into front trouser pocket. Being slightly heavier gives it inertia so it also hard to drop. Recommend.
A year later and this still is a great case for the Note 9.
Simply buy a cheap Loca Note 9 'tempered' glass screen protector, make sure its as perfectly positioned before exposing to UV, and the otterbox case CAN fit around it.
I have tried 2 screen protectors so far - the first piece of tempered glass was not positioned properly, I UV set it (with the sun outside) and a bit of the glass cracked off along the edges when the case was fitted (not the screen just the tempered glass protector) but it was still fine for use for months.
Because the glass protector was not positioned properly over the front camera, it didn't give me a great selfie, so I bought another loca temperted glass protector and peeled the old one off.
This time I fitted it perfectly. TOTAL PROTECTION. It's great! NFC works fine, Samsung pay, NFC tags etc....

Question What Cases Did You Get?

The name says it all. What did you get? I got the below so far, although I think I'm going to return the Spigen hybrid for the clear one.
Spigen Thin Fit

Spigen Hybrid

Nallot Case

You want good corner hit protection or it will get damaged. The clear ones don't cut it. These are heavy phones that wuv to corner hit
Been using the Zizo Bolt case on my N10+ for 2 years, zero damage. Has been dropped on concrete from 2-4 feet more times then I liked to admit. Thin, easy to hold and clean, doesn't attract dirt, and doesn't fall apart when dropped.
The screen protector on this one might be a throw away; I use Gorilla IQ Sheild which works very well. The inner case kick stand is fragile but doesn't effect the protection.
s22 ultra, zizo bolt case - Google Shopping
Pitaka. I like em thin
Currently have Spigen Slim armor however Spigen Tough armor arrives tomorrow. The Tough armor is what I've used on my last 3 note devices and haven't had issues with it's protection yet.
Am rotating between Spigen Thin fit and Mous case.
Going between Spigen Liquid Crystal and Liquid Air Armor. Both have the individual camera cuts. I prefer the look of the Armor, but Liquid Crystal feels like I can drop it from 4 inches as opposed to 2 inches.
I ordered the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle pro. I wanted one with a stand AND camera closure slide window so that when I'm not using my camera my fingers won't touch the lenses and smudge them, but I couldn't find one without the metal ring type stand which blocks it from being able to wireless charge. I know this because I did already pre-buy a case that had both the stand and camera window slide closure thing, but it will not pick up a wireless charge. I feel like the Beetle Pro will accept wireless charging because the stand doesn't look like it protrudes very far.

I had this on my pixel 6 pro. Looks better in person. The only caveat is that it adds some bulk to the phone.

Good call on th cryo armor! I just looked and it's available on Amazon now, for half of what their website says lol. Just ordered.
Found this S22 Ultra cases review. Might help to decide.
OtterBox Defender Pro with Belt clip. You can drop it on concrete or asphalt and it won't even scratch the case much less the phone. I been using the Defenders since the s7 Edge and never traded a phone in to Samsung that didn't look brand new and sratchless. The only downside is it will make your phone heavier but I can live with that. I've dropped mine on a concrete tile floor at work 3 times over the years and never even for scratched. If you keep your phone in your pocket in an office environment you can get away with slinmer cases. But if you work in a brutal environment it pays to have that extra protection.
I purchased the Samsung Black Leather Cover Case.
Precise , minimal, good quality and snug.
I would like the UAG MONARCH KEVLAR SERIES but it does not yet appear to be available in the UK and I'm hesitant to import it via the States.
Spigen Liquid Air Case , I like the look and cuts for every camera lens
I really liked Pitaka from the review.
Also considering dbrand case or Spigen Thin
Got CaseBorne S series and R series, BUT my phone is being delayed for shipping Will test but on naked view, the cases look AWESOME and with proper corner protection.

Accessories Cases - Which One?

I normally buy an OEM case for my phones and will probably stick to this, however I am always open to change.
So do you normally get a case for your phone? If so which one?
Or do you not bother with a case and just go "vanilla"?
Let me know your thoughts and if you can lets see some pictures of your case if you have one.
I'd prefer going without a case but manufacturers make them so damn slippery I can't risk it.
I always get a case from aliexpress besause it's cheap and does the job. also screeen protectors
I've had my S23+ for just over a week now and this case seems to be the right choice considering price and protection.

For people who love minimal cases, the Spigen Thin Fit for the S23+ is really nice ! Good protection without bulk.
However I have also ordered the "memumi Ultra Slim" on amazon, it looks like something between a "cover" and a case.... I should get it in the weekend.
Caseology Parallax or Ringke Onyx?
I got 2

and the official soft silicone one in lavender from the samsung site. Both are pretty good. £34 for a case is pretty steep though for the official one.
I ended up getting a Samsung original black leather case
I went for original samsung leather green case and it is awesome. I got code when buying it on samsung site lowering price of case to 1$ so I took it. Probably wouldnt go for it if I need pay full price, but its definetely best case I had but I always used low price spigen/ aliexpress cases.
I bought the Eiger Avalancha
Eiger Protection - Schweiz

But the Fingerprint is not working so im still searching for a Full body case where fingerprint is working.
Also, the Sound Output is pretty dull, and the on-Phone calls Volume has to me on the Top to hear good. In Terms of Security, you can't get something better. Fully Closed, water-resistant and so on.
Makes the phone little heavier but I don't mind that at all.

does the Fingerprint scanner work?
I got the OEM rugged case. Should be here next week. I usually go with an aftermarket rugged case.. but Samsung gave me credit to get it lol
