I have version 4.1.1.... I unlocked the bootloader without updating through the Ota. . I rooted and installed twrp.
I want to run lollipop but it says I need 4.2.1 bootloader
How do I upgrade it? Maybe without a pc?
Thank you

If you have custom recovery on your tablet (which you say you do) download the official asus 4.2.1 update firmware. It is in the form of a zip. Inside that zip is another zip, put the latter one mentioned on your sd card and flash it in recovery. Let it boot up. Done. You now have latest bootloader.
I'm going to threadjack here as I have a similar question: How can I confirm the current bootloader version?
When I boot holding pwr+voldwn, in the top left it says:
Android cardhu-user bootloader (1.00 e) released by "US_epad-10.6.1.27.5-20130902" A03I realize this is the most recent firmware available via the Asus site.
For what its worth:
TWRP v2.6.3.2 is installed
I just flashed the most recently nightly (as of this writing) of CM-12; I must be on 4.2.
I vaguely remember going through a 'zip within a zip' flashing process some time ago. Still, knowing where to look to confirm version info is helpful.
After trying to flash android stock rom 5.1.1 i get this error on my phone.
It happes after odin tries to write sboot.bin.

That means you have a android 6 bootloader so you will have to find a android 5 one to flash android 5 roms

Far as I know, since MM Samsung has added an option so downgrade to not be possible anymore. sbot error means that the bootloader you're trying to use is older than the one on your phone.
I don't know if you can downgrade, but search here as maybe somebody had found a way to do this
There is currently no way to downgrade to 5.1.1 if you're on newer mm firmware, the Bootloader will stop you from downgrading.
I wonder if anyone could help me out with something; I have a galaxy s10e exynos model with Android 9 installed and i'm rooted. Now I want to upgrade to android 10 via odin. Is there something I need to do first? Do I relock the bootloader or can I just flash the new firmware on the device?
i don't know if it's been late but you need to download the Android 10 stock firmware for your model. Using magisk, patch the AP file and flash the patched AP file alongside the required files for Odin.

Don't have any experience with upgrading while rooted, but as a warning, I updated with an unlocked bootloader (nothing changed other than that), and the update to 10 bricked my phone. I just sent it back afterwards, but I vaguely recall that it would have been recoverable, but just as a warning not to do the OTA with an unlocked bootloader.
Is there any way to downgrade binary 6 to 3 or just downgrade android oreo to marshmallow (ik its the same thing)
If someone ask "why?" touchwiz
It is not possible to lower the binary. This is what it was introduced for.
If the phone allows you to unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP and Custom ROM, then you can try to find a ROM based on an earlier firmware version, but it will no longer be a fully trusted firmware.

Worked fine for me on 2 separate devices using the usual procedure and Odin3_v3.14.4, what difficulties are you running into when attempting to downgrade?

" SW REV CHECK FAIL : [vbmeta]
Fused 5 > Binary 4
AP Check error : vbmeta "
when you didnt had twrp installed, than you have no chance of downgrading, samsung is like apple now where they prevent downgrading, once the bootloader got updated due to a software update there is no chance of downgrading

So the only way to downgrade my android is to wait for TWRP Release on android 12 right ?
Sadly it isnt possible to downgrade to a lower firmware even with twrp installed.
Look at this post:
If i have twrp installed, can i flash older update with OLDER BOOTLOADER?
I am on dec 12 android 10 update right now. I've always wanted to try an early version of android 9 to check some different display qualities. But it obviously has older bootloader version. İf i install twrp, can i flash an update with older...
