hi,
is it possible to enable volte and vowifi on rmx2071? and how?
If you mean enable as the option isn't there, then sorry I can't help.
But if you mean enable, as in switch it on, then mine is under settings/sim card & mobile data/(select your sim card) /and its under network settings... 'WiFi calling'.
Unless of course the Chinese rom doesn't have it......
No way

I have the same issue with RMX2071. No VoLte, wifi calling or video call. whenever I place a call, the network changes to H+. Hopefully it works once we are able to flash a Global rom.
i have flashed a eu rom rmx 2076 but no volte options

I have the same issue but in my case is for two reason:
1. My provider not enable VOLTE in the sim. I test a Google Fi Sim and enable the VOLTE options in Settings.
2. Some provider have a internal IMEI list to enable the VOLTE service. If your device IMEI is not provisioned in this list even enable VOLTE options on the X50 Pro can work the service.

It looks like VoLte and HD call functionality has been a blame game between service providers and handset manufacturers. I am using Lycamobile in the US. The same sim card works flawlessly with VoLte and video calls when I put it in Lenovo Zuk Edge that I bought in early 2017. But this handset RMX2071 doesnot work.
does volte work on the global rom ... at least in the US
With RMX2075 VoLTE also not work.

I have RMX2071. After I upgraded to Android 11, some calls are shown as HD calls in the calls history. I wonder if they enabled VoLTE globally on Andoid 11. I have Chinese stock ROM.

Has anyone managed to get VoLTE working on EE UK network on the S6? The current and very old EE firmware doesnt have it enabled.
I believe you need to have the options for VoLTE enabled in the config file and also have the EE EVR CSC code for Volte to work, is that correct?
You also have to rely on EE to actually get it working. It's been up and down for a few weeks now.
The official word is so long as you bought your phone from an EE shop it'll work when they activate it. However, I have had it working fine on an EE 920F(EVR) with a BTU rom, and I know of another member who has had it working on a BTU bought from cpw.
Marshmallow (6.0.1) is definitely needed. Once it's solidly active I'll make my working csc files available for download.
Excellent thanks. I believe you need an new APN as well to get VoLTE? I read about S7 people having a new one called IMS. Do you have th APN settings for this IMS APN?
Thanks.
I have the settings for the new apn too

Turns out I don't have true VoLTE. It's working more like Wifi Calling over LTE. Has the same result, as in it stays on 4G/LTE for any call I make (essentially the same job).
If you want the details I can post them for you, but bear in mind I'm running a custom ROM that makes my phone think it's a G925F (edge).

haha nice! wifi calling over your own 4G, nice
yeah send over the settings, althogh i think im going to give up for now, im due an upgrade in a few months now anyway
Don't forget to backup your current csc files first - just in case. VoLTE toggle should appear in settings>Mobile networks. Need to reboot. May take a while for it to become active on the network - you'll see the wifi calling icon in the statusbar when you're connected to 4G.
Good luck.

Turns out it is VoLTE. EE are implementing it in a weird way, but it is working properly.
Thanks buddy
EE aren't implementing it weirdly. 4G has no voice component so is a data stream over internet traffic.

Thanx. It really does seem weird to me. I was expecting volte to have it's own icon in the statusbar for a start, but all I get is the wifi calling icon. Calls definitely go over LTE when wifi is disabled.
I'm getting on in years but retain enough brain cells to see what's happening but not enough to fully understand it all. I do my best lol

With OnePlus Android 9 software update, Verizon VoLTE IMS stack is fully supported and although the phone doesn't support Band 13, it registers to Verizon's IMS servers (Band 2, 4, 5, 66) and calls go through over LTE, up to AMR-WB at 12.65kbps (HD Voice).
- Device isn't provisioned for Verizon VoWiFi (Wi-Fi Calling).
- CDMA voice registration for this device is still rejected by Verizon.
- Support for T-Mobile's VoLTE and VoWiFi up to EVS (Enhanced HD Voice) has been present since launch.

This is exciting stuff for Verizon customers! I understand the technical aspects of this, but can you give anymore anecdotal feedback on what it's like to use the phone on Verizon? i.e. are you experiencing any dropped calls? What are your data speeds? How does the VZW experience differ from using the phone on another carrier?
When you say: "CDMA voice registration for this device is still rejected by Verizon" does that mean calls only connect over LTE? Or do you mean that the Verizon sim card needs to be registered before inserting into the phone? If calls only connect over LTE, how significant is that? Is it safe to say that everywhere on VZW's LTE map you'll be able to make/receive calls?
Thanks for the info!
I tried swapping my Verizon SIM over and calls work just fine over LTE bands 2 and 4. I can send texts as well, so now the only problem is I can't receive texts on Verizon.

Same. On the phone with tech support now.
You need a CDMA-LESS profile on the verizon sim card that you are using. The same things goes for the 6T and Razor phone 2. The incoming texts are going through cdma which the 6 does not support.
Read this if you want details https://www.reddit.com/r/razerphone/comments/9tqpwq/new_razer_phone_2_wont_recieve_text_messgaes/
I'd sure like to use this phone on a verizon MVNO.
If you really want EVS, you can turn it on yourself. Using the EFS Explorer utility (from the QPST package) in the / efsprofiles / folder - write or write with replacement (if you already have such files in the folder) the overideconfig and overideconfig_Subscription01 files
This method is found on the Internet and verified. And this method works for any carrier if its infrastructure support EVS audio codec.
You got any issue with VoLTE or Wifi-Calling?
I had this problem. Oddly what solved it was removing the sim and factory reseting then putting the sim back in. Volte finally worked after that. Seems like a bug in OxygenOS

You guys have stable Wifi-Calling connection?
Yes. I've had no issues with T-Mobile WiFi calling. Works fine.
@LandLockedPH T-Mobile US??
Quick update...
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the OP7 (non-Pro).
I'm using a T-Mobile SIM (Sim 1) and AT&T SIM (Sim 2).
I can confirm that I"m getting VOLTE on both SIM's and VOWiFi on the T-Mobile SIM.
Really happy with the device!
I know not band 71 but how about 66?
Vowifi doesn't work on vzw
Does firmware for gm1905 exist? I'm thinking this also opens bands 66 and 71.
Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
I don't think however carrier aggregation works with the op7 and TMobile USA.
I ran a few ookla speed tests compared to my s10+ using mobile data only. Long story short the S10 would average download at approx 90mbps and the OP7 around 35mpbs.
The only way I could get the S10+ to attain similar figures to the OP7 was for me to disable LTE bands 2, 12 and 66 . In essence making it just use just band 4. Then the download speeds were similar.
On side a side note, having wifi calling enabled slowed the tests results further as you can see by the lower earlier results. Attached screen shot.

No 5G option on my preferred network.
Do you have A40 firmware yet? If not, then that's probably the reason why. On android-hilfe.de there have been a lot of people with 5G issues but they have been resolved with the new firmware.

Also mine activated on Android 11 BUT,
I did 5G Speedtests many times and compare it with NOTE 20 Ultra .
Find x2 pro : 20 to 40 Mbps
Note 20 Ultra : 160 to 280 Mbps
The same time, area and SIM card .
Also 4G is Faster than 5G and I don't know why .
When I got my phone via O2 in the UK, they told me that I would need a new SIM card because of 5G. I've not bothered to look into why this was necessary, but perhaps you need a new (5G compatible) SIM card too?

Volte ,has to be enabled by your sim service provider !
That said, obviously your service provider ,must support this feature . ?
I had to phone my service provider and request them to enable Volte ( in my sim card settings ).
Take into account that if you have a branded firmware on your device ,that the firmware has to support Volte .
I had issues in the past ) with Volte been "disabled " /not working ,
( Service provider issues/mistakes )
I then had to contact my service provider and request then again to check my sim settings and re enable Volte again .
Bottom line ,
Service Provider "controls "the enabling etc of Volte ..!(sim card )
So yes , with Volte enabled ,my data connection does not drop when receiving voice calls
( otherwise it should drop )
good luck .
