How do I disable or hide the clock on my Kindle Paperwhite 3 Status bar on top - General Questions and Answers

Hi all
I'd like to hide or disable the clock on the home page status bar. https://pasteboard.co/JgD014U.png
I couldn't find any relevant option in the settings. Perhaps there's another way to get into the device and hide the clock?
Thanks
vin

Good decision as 8-9 lines of codes is removed saves juice also less distracted from screen...
Go under AA font menu there it should be among layout options

Sorry mate that's not the option to disable the clock on status bar.
I think it needs some kind of jailbreaking the device to achieve what I want to do.

You better go with KO reader options I'm haven't exited for very long ?

How to remove battery icon from taskbar and show clock instead? [Solved]

Hello,
Does anybody know which registry to modify on the HD2 to remove the battery icon from taskbar & show clock instead ?
Thanks a lot for your help
Ok, sorry.
I've found it :
HKLM / Software / Microsoft / Shell / Taskbar / LimitedClock ==> Dword = 0
thanks
It's also still in the same place in the clock options in settings.

I remember on my good old Diamond I had, that the CLOCK was shown only when I navigated out of the HOME screen.
No idea how I did this, but it was very usefull.
Do anybody know how to manage this?
are you sure? I couldn't find a way to do this

hi, I too would like to have battery AND clock in the taskbar
You have to do the below to change that :-
> Setting Tab
> Menu Softkey
> All Settings
> Clock & Alarms
Then tick "Display the clock on the title bar in all programes"
That's it.
Good Luck hope these are easy instructions to follow.

I downloaded "Batti" from omarket. that gives you a battery gauge (the skinny colorful line at extreme top of your screen) and then I used above tip that replaced stock gauge with digital clock instead. you just go to......
settings-all settings-clocks/alarms-more-select " display the clock on title bar...."
I have hd2 tmousa
Thanks so much !!!!

stefan - just answering another persons question in this thread, and u can see it helped him, u moron. also, if u would check out the apps one of them might help u with ur problem, but do not think i am going to deliver it to u on a silver platter with a spot of tea and a crumpet, i ain't your slave. take some initiative get up off ur arse, and put in some effort. the universe is not centered around you, actually the term "moron" is to good for your classification.

Try this
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt = 1
(if this does not work, do a search on "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt"

battclock app
the reg hack works, but he said no battery.
dont know why its not there by default.
as for batlock I dont want both to be squeezed in the same icon location!
Yeah I wouldn't mind seperate locations - but I guess battlock is the only way to go
I managed to get it separated using battlock thingy
its easy, however I use the 12 icon menu that pops up when long press end key.
that leave a while box where battlock is, however clicking on notification bar fixes the issue
Hi use a program to change the taskbar icons and layout, like Wisbar advance.
Quickmenu, a real powerful and higly customizable (though minimalistic) programlauncher/taskmanager, has an option to display battery info (icon or just percentage) on the taskbar. If you like quickmenu as an additional tool, I say you have your solution....
thanks for the info people so many solution I am sure someone else will find it usefull too

cleanest way to get notification icons

what is the best way to show missed calls \ sms etc in the home page. or in the notification toolbar
the less stuff I need to install around it, the better
I would prefer not install max manilla really.
and if I had to, then I dont want it to change the look on my HD2
regards
Just use Co0kie's Home tab it shows missed called etc with minimal change of the homescreen, use the search function to find the thread hope this helps ^^
it increase number of shortcus (makes them smaller).
also it changes few things in the layout which i dont like much

do you mean you aren't getting missed call/sms in the notification toolbar?

You can turn off all the things that change the layout so that it looks exactly the same as default. Everything in Co0kie's home tab is optional.
I dont have notification in the top bar,
it would be nice if I can see all the changes in one place really, ideally the lock screen but I dont want S2U2.

Sorry mate - my bad. The next release, which is imminent, will have 3x3 back, as well as number of quicklink pages, so you don't have to have the left and right ones (if you don't want them).
so there is no easy way to see
missed calls\ new sms
in convenient one location?

what is that black bar at the bottom of ADW EX?

I've been using ADW EX and when I start up my TF there is this weird black bar that appears at the bottom of the screen like a dock....but my dock is hidden.
I have to swipe this down to get rid of it.
Is there some setting that I'm ignorant of?
It's a themed or skinned dock bar to hold your apps. You can disable it by going in the ADWLauncher EX settings and going to 'UI Settings' > 'Hidden Dockbar' and unchecking 'Use as Primary' and the very top one which just says 'Dockbar'.
Cheers...

thanks very much...that's been driving me crazy!
Yeah, I don't care to much for it either because it shrinks your icons down too small plus it hides any apps you have on the lower row.
Cheers...
A little OT, but this brings up a good point: documentation. Has anyone found any for ADW? There are a ton of options packed in there, but I have no idea what most of them do, nor is it easy to find the one or two options you may need because they're buried so deep.

Ander never wrote any. Maybe if I have time later I'll quickly write something. Cross your fingers and hope that I don't have practice.

Dont know if to buy or not.

In thoughts to by an Mate 9 but have a few questions:
1) Is there a expanded desktop option on Huawei Mate 9?
2) Does Nova Launcher work well on the letest update on it?
3) I would appreciate if someone could post a screenshot with the View Mode on the smallest and the Font Size on the smallest? It is important for me to get the very small text you find in Lionage Os.
4) Hows it going with the release of the Kernal of the phone? Lineage Os?
5) How well have the camera worked on previous Huawei phones with custom roms, have they still been the same afterwards? I have experienced on three different phones that the camera went worse after installing Cyanogen Mod, Lineage Os...
6) How hard is it to port the camera app from Huawei to an custom rom?
I can't answer the custom rom and root questions, i can help you with the other stuff though.
1) No there isn't
2) It works amazingly well!
3) what do you want to screenshot me? The settings page with the font size or a specific app?
Sorry for not being able to answer everythinf, hope i still helped you a bit

If you want custom ROMs I'd advise you to find another device if not this is the whole package the best phone I have ever used and I've used most of them.
Great phone. My set up attached with google now swipe left and pixel launcher
What size do you use in view mode and font size on that picture?
Here is my OPO with smallest in both settings

Sorry for bumping a week old thread. Just wanted to let you guys know that you can actually hide the status bar up top. Download Tiles from the Play Store. It lets you add quick settings tiles for just about anything. There's one for immersive mode, where you can press the tile and it'll hide the status bar, navigation bar, system bar or a dialog for your choosing. I have it set so whenever I toggle the quick setting tile, it hides the status bar up top, which is what you are looking for. It works great.
Here is a pair of screenshots of the quick tiles from the app, and how it looks like without the status bar. Let me know if you need any help or have any other questions.

Thanks! The only thing left is a way to hide the Navi buttons in choosen apps, for an example chrome.
