One reviewer said that he was sightly disappointed with the dynamic range of the camera. https://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g8_plus-review-2046p5.php
I'm wondering if this is a hardware or software issue? I bought the G8 plus already, but i'm wondering if I should just have gone for the G8 power, if the G8 plus camera isn't all it's cracked up to be in the end?
Thanks.

hi everyone
i want to buy a new phone, a moto g5s plus or a xiaomi mi A1. In my country they have similar price (the xiaomi is a bit more expensive). the only reason im intersted in the the mi a1 is because of its thelphoto lens. so, i want to know if buying the moto + 2x or 3x lens i will be able to make the same portrait effect as the xiaomi does natively. since the moto has a bigger aperture it may take better photos. i dont know id it is any possibilty of attaching the lens with the moto g5s plus.
Has anyone done this before?
P: if you any sample pls post it. i will appreciate your colaboration.
Thanks
Getting an additional lens with G5S+ isn't good idea if you're only concerned about portrait pictures coz Xiaomi A1 has one of the best portrait mode even better than Oneplus.
But the low light and overall picture quality of G5S+ is a way better, so choose wisely what you really want
I am a moto g5s plus user. If you want to buy a phone than you should go for mi a1. The portaints on mi a1 are so much better than moto g5s plus.
And the mi a1 is lower in cost than that of moto g5s plus
Which one will give me more resolution / quality when I zoom a photo? For example a white board lesson.
i find G5S+ better in picture resolution and quality
I just recently bought a new Moto G7 and really like it with one exception. My issue is with the quality of photos taken with a flash. These pictures have a very drastic orangish-brown tint to them. I am using the stock camera. I had the Moto G5 before this and this was not an issue. Any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix it? Is there a better camera app I can install? Thanks!
After my S9 contract running out I've been offered a decent deal on an OppoFind X2 Lite and have been digging around and although it looks a good upgrade I was wondering if anyone with any experience would be able to recommend or not.
I've noticed from the spec the screen resolution is slightly less on the Oppo (2,400 X 1,080) against the S9 (1,440 x 2,960) although I've always kept it on FHD+ (2.220 x 1,080) anyway so don't suppose it matters and the reviews I've seen about the Oppos screen have been good.
The one thing I was wondering about was wireless charging . I assume this is VOOC 4.0? If so can I use my current wireless chargers I use for the S9 or would I need new ones? The charging time and battery look better which has never been great on my S9.
I've never heard of Oppo before I'll be honest but what few reviews I've seen have been good. I like the fingerprint sensor in the front screen and I like the sound of the extra cameras and 5G.
I'd probably miss the customized Bixby key, the curved screen and Secure Folder but other than that the upgrade is quite tempting.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Well I've got an Oppo Find X2 Lite now and I previously had, (and still have), a Sony Xperia XZ1. The Oppo is good. The screen res is very similar. It's got a much larger screen and it responds fast. I can't say how it compares gaming as I simply don't play games on my phones. I must say one thing the Oppo has which I use a LOT is inbuilt Call Recording. It's very useful and works on Bluetooth also. The fast charging is good also and pretty fast alright. All in all I think this was a good purchase.
I just buy Oppo x2 Lite and i became from s9. The material are different and the IOS Samsung S9 give a plus that in a Oppo i miss it when a use a photocamera.
Now i trying the GCAM for this side.
In general Oppo is more responsive, 6gb ram is very good, the display is good and honest display ( i play only a Clash ).
For my side 340€ is a lot for Oppo...... the real price is 270€.
After 12 years about Samsung i would like to try something else . I hope that Oppo give me a chance

Hi,
Tbh that would be a downgrade. Seeing the spec sheet, the experience would be pretty less pleasant on OP side (expect for that sweet 90Hz, I like it, but it's not amazing, don't buy a phone just to try the 90Hz)
If you still wanna get the OP8, here are pros:
- Lots of ROMs and Kernels
- Long lasting phones due to the support from the devs
- 90Hz display
Here's one con if you care about that : OnePlus is a Chinese brand, more and more people have (justified or unjustified, not getting political here) trust issues with Chinese devices.
Other cons:
- Smaller battery (4200 vs 5000)
- no headphone jack
- camera setup is very very bad compared to LG
- Lower screen res
- No OLED screen
- No IP rating (but it seems to be a bit water resistant, you can dip it into water, but if you hit lower than 1 m deep, your phone is most likely dead)
I personally think the v60 might be better, especially if you get the dual screen case. I personally had a V20 and loved it. You might lose some software updates and longevity though.
LG is much better. Especially with the camera. Lgs cams are really good and OnePlus cameras are incredibly "meh" with the stupidest damn camera software you could imagine . But it works for point and shoot, just enough.
However, unless I'm missing something new, the v60 you cannot root, which is the only reason I've been running the OnePlus devices since the v30 to the 6T
I owed the v60... Actually just sold it last week and I regret selling it. Camera's better, screen is better and has better battery life.
OnePlus 8 wins in software and 90 Hertz refresh rate... Which is very noticeable.

After nearly 5 years my lg g5 started showing signs of aging and i asked myself if i could upgrade the internal hardware of my phone. So headed on yt and found nothing about it, but i found some lg g8 thinq teardown footage and noticed that its wide angle camera it's basically the same size as the one in the lg g5. So can i put the lg g8 camera inside my lg g5?
Assuming that i can fit the new camera in the phone I think to answer this question i mey need to answer these questions first:
-do both camera have same connector?
-if yes,do i need driver for the new camera?
-are there any?
