i have bought a samsung note 10 lite 2 days ago, and i'm facing a problem with the fingerprint sensor, when i try to unlock the phone, it won't respond to my finger at all, i have to relock the screen and unlock it again to work
What could possibly be the reason ?

I have the exact same issue on my 10 lite. I gave up trying to figure it out. A friend of mine has 10 lite and he has no issues at all.

I have managed to fix it by setting show icon when screen is off to "on always on display"
Disable optimise battery for com.samsung.android.biometric and it should make the fingerprint faster and more reliable.
Has anyone figured this out? It's driving me crazy.

Thanks. Fingerprint sensor is working much better now. Even more it's working like charm and now Im using it like it should always be

Wait I'm on One UI 2.1 and the system tells me that it is already up to date... How did you get 2.5 ?

You can try other regions. My device is HongKong TGY I use it in United States on At&t but flashed Spain PHE firmware that is 2.5. I rooted it and it works just fine. And finger print is much better on 2.5

I have the i9505 and I recently received the lollipop update on Vodafone Ireland.
I am missing some features such as ambient display and screen pin, this is very annoying as I was looking forward to these the most.
Did my carrier or Samsung decide to leave them out? And if so how can I get them back?

Screen pin lockscreen should be there i have it on btu 5.0.1 ,as for ambient display i dont think samsung added this feature maybe on note 4 and s5 dunno

No that is not what I mean . screen pinning is when u can pin an active app to the screen and you can't quit it. It is useful when you are handing the phone to a friend.
Oh I see what you mean now and BTU does not have this feature nexus does though maybe in next update it might come.

CM12 is known for adding custom features..
Also, I watched a 5.1 review and the guy said something about screen pinning being back or that it has a screen pinning feature. Something along those lines.
I don't have it on my 5.0.1 GPE rom

I upgraded to lollipop 5.0.1 few days after purchase but did not take note of this issue before upgrade. When i clear camera cache and data, the problem gets fixed for the first time of camera use but problem comes back after first use of camera. What could be the cause and what is the suggested solutions.
Same problem here, not fixed yet. I noticed that autofocusing is instant if the phone is very hot...

I think this is hardware issue. If you shake it you will get focus fast.

Rightly said, i guess its a hardware issue, since updates did not fix it. The only way i get quicker focus is by tapping the phone close to the lens. Could be weird sometimes.

I get fix. I ordered camera module form HERE and watch video on You Tube witch help me with replacing camera. All process took 15-20 min and cost around $20.

5 days after a replace camera module and a have no problem with auto focus. I read somewhere if you disable s-health app camera works normally.

After disabling the shealth, the blur is gone instantly. More time on it as an experiment

Same here. Just like magic. Looks lite the same health sensor is affecting the camera auto focus

Go to settings, applications manager, select s health and you will see disable , just under unistall.

Hello everyone. I just purchased a used mate 8 nxt-al10 for $100 Cad . The screen is shattered other than that it works great. The "fingerprint ID" isn't anywhere in the settings so I can't use the scanner. Any suggestions? Could it be the drop that broke the screen dislodged the ribbon cable for the scanner?
Any help would be awesome!

u can try and do a factory reset, see if that helps. other than that, anything is possible @internal damage...

I tried the factory reset and it still does not show up then I opened up the phone and the connector seems fine. Not sure what to do now. Maybe I should flash the international rom and see if that works?

Nope the cable looks to be in perfect shape. I'll post some pictures when I can but it looks good under the hood. Does your mate 8 have a small line on the scanner where it looks to be darker on the bottom?
Also random question is there a guide for flashing the international Rom with steps for beginners? Last time I rooted a phone was my nexus 5 3 years ago.
OK so I'm officially running kangvip slim b180.... And still no fingerprint ID in settings!!! I'm going to assume it's a hardware issue and order a new scanner. If anyone has any better ideas let me know.

Where do you get scanner from as mine has stopped working but a bit reluctant to send it back to China even though they was in touch straight away

I just updated to EMUI 5 (B361) and have been testing out the firmware and found out that the photos sections from gallery app only shows pictures/video from taken from camera or the screenshots. It's not showing other whatsapp pictures or downloaded pictures in the photos section like it used to in Emui 4.
Can someone confirm if this is only me or is it the same for everyone now?

Google play games lag issue present in every Nougat device. I can confirm it because my note 5 also has the same issue.

Google doesn't seem to give a **** about it, it last got updated in November. I can also confirm it's the same way on my Moto G.
Are you by any chance facing this issue? The screen timeout setting is disabled for me. can't change it.

My Honor 8 screen is consistently timing out/locking while I am in the middle of using my phone. When it locks, it take about 10-35 seconds for it to recognize my fingerprint to unlock it again. I've played with the screen timeout settings yet nothing seems to work. Anyone experience this issue? Please advise, it's extremely annoying.
