I want to install the global ROM version on my oneplus chinese version (IN2010). When I read the forums about the conversion, it's suggested to copy the persist.img on my PC. But to copy the persist, i must be rooted. I didn't find an rooting method for the IN2010. There is one? or can I take rooting method for other versions? Is there anyone who successfully rooted his IN2010?
Thanks in advance

If you want to format your data, just Factory reset the phone. But as you know, since you want to format your data, all your data will be lost.
I may have missed the point so can you clarify what you hear by "format data"

Same doubt here. If you don't backup persist.img you still have possibilities to break fingerprint sensor if updated from settings > local upgrade > ".zip package"? @narkun1029

Hello everyone,
Recently I got stuck in BLN-L21 and after lot of failures I was able to revert back to BLN-L22 thanks to a friend on xda. For that I have used oeminfo that he had generated on his phone and sent to me.
But now whenever I try to upgrade my current nougat version, I get always error from Huawei erecovery. Like "The version is incompatible with your current version". I have tried several times. My device is unlocked right now and I also installed TWRP 3.1.1-0.
Did anyone face the same issue before? If yes please let me know how did you solve it. Thank you

Whats the error ?
Whenever I try to flash any version of the firmware through dload method one red exclamation mark appears and it is written "The package is not compatible with the current system. Please download the correct package." I'm currently on BLN-L22C675B320.
I was able to revert back from BLN-21 to BLN-22. I'm facing this problem from that time and due to that the built-in
VoLTE doesn't work anymore.

Yes. I bought the Indian variant and while trying one day to roll back to MM bcz I was facing some touchscreen issue in Nougat, the phone when to NRD900-test keys. I tried several ways and I ended up changing my phone to another variant BLN-L21.
So recently a friend from the xda community gave me an oemfile info that je had backed up on an Indian variant. Using TWRP I therefore backup the current oeminfo which was from the oeminfo of BLN-21 to my SD card. I then replaced one of the 3 files by the oeminfo file that I got from my friend which is from the Indian variant. Again using TWRP I just restored the new oeminfo to revert back to BLN-L22.
But problem is from that time I can't flash any firmware anymore, my inbuilt VOLTE is also not working. My bootloadwr is currently unlocked. I tried to relock it but it always fails. I think that the trick that I did only spoiled my phone. That's the reason why I requested anybody to share with me their oeminfo file that they backed up using TWRP from the Indian variant. Hope you understood.

So u mean that u had oeminfo of L22 is it ? I can fix that in two minutes if u have twrp:fingers-crossed:
Thank you all for your support. I tried relocking my phone thinking that It would solve the problem but I ended up bricking my phone. I then went to Huawei service center and they told me that my motherboard is damaged and they need to change it completely. I need to wait for one week.

Hello, after reading the guides to restore the smartphone (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8/how-to/op8-unbrick-tool-to-restore-device-to-t4085877) I have some Doubts. Let's suppose that I have a Chinese version (IN2010) that had HydrogenOS and OxigenOS (global version) has been installed. If I wanted to restore the smartphone to the global version because I have a brick, what firmware should I use?

No no, No, I bought it and it is on the way, it will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. But first I want to try it for a few days.
Good morning
So I've a xiaoxin pad 11 pro:
Model: tb-j706f
android version: 10
software version: tb-_706f_rf01_201229
ROM: TB-J706F_S240073_201229_ROW
kernel: 4.14.117 from 2020
Widevine: L1
And I whant to update to TB-J706F_S620150_211226_ROW. So my questions are many
-Can i use lenovo sofware to update?
-Do i need to lock or unlock oem bootloader from settings?
-Can only be done using QFIL or other softwares?
-Do i need to find out if it's region lock?
-How to backup this img, if everything goes wrong?
-Do i have to install the original chinese version, or can i just update the international one?
I see alot of threats talking about going from international to chinese, but I like to have play store and keepping widevine lv.1. Without having to do a lot of "work".
I've tried to use the OTA function, but downloads the update (just after my current version) it restart's and gets to the lenovo logo on the screen and reboots. Like a boot loop. I've to manually shutdown the tablet and it's back to normal.
After readding this forum, i still dont see a uniform way to update this device, and more importantly a easy way to do it. Can all of you help me?
- yes
- no
- yes
- even CN versions can be flashed with global rom
- you could still flash an img you download online if something wrongs happen
- it's on your own, if you have L1 with global unless you want latest updates no need to go CN, stay global.
if OTA update doesn't work maybe reset the device or even flash the newest rom available from lolinet then update with OTA.
@melones22 Thanks for the aswers.
Do you know if i download the newest global rom from lolinet, and force install, if i keep my lv1?
if you relock bootloader, likely. personally with natsafety patch + hde etc still l3
be absolute sure that you didn’t modified anything else than flashing before relocking

To flash a ROM you can use QFIL, I never used Lenovo softwaare so I am not sure if you can flash form there only last version or if you have a choice.
Normally you should not be required to use QFIL and you should be able to update with OTA updates.

You should backup QCN with QFIL and all partitions (you can probably exclude vendor and userdata) with QFIL or edl, there is a guide for both methods (I use edl) https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/two-ways-to-backup-tb-j706f-without-unlocking-bootloader.4402799/

You should be able to update your global ROM but since you are having problems I don't exclude you might need to go back to CN ROM before flashing again the Global ROM.

I am not sure what's the problem with your OTA update.
I would suggest to:
Backup your QCN and all partitions first
Open your QCN with QCNView and check the region in NV Item 6858
If your region is 02 is Global and OTA update should work, so maybe try a factory reset and see if after OTA update works.
If it's 00 (region unlocked) or 01 (China) that might be the reason OTA updates are not working.
Edit
I read again the version you have now and it's quite old, that probably does not have any region lock.
In the one tablet I had from the shop with Chinese ROM I flashed TB-J706F_S250260_210804_ROW, that set it as global region and then from that I run OTA updates.
So I think you should backup as I said before and then flash TB-J706F_S250260_210804_ROW, make sure to select the right settings in QFIL and NEVER check "Reset state machine".

Hello.
Thanks @MrCrayon, but i never has able to use qfil to backup my device. To complicated for me. But thanks for the help.
So what i did to update my tablet. After feeling the same way @shaoki92 , i just tried to use lenovo tools. And... puff... update done.
No problems what so ever,
Did not lose L1
And did not have to mess with bootloader or region lock.
But i understand that i took a big risk. The tablet could've become just a paper weight. But until now working fine. With new android and everything.

Hi front3,
May i ask how do you update using lenovo tools ? Thanks
Im no expert that so ever. But i can tell you that i did.
Install lenovo assistance, on windows.
Used the charging cable of the tablet to connect to pc.
Launch the app
Connect to the device via app
(And i dont remember now, but i think its recue my device, and update, inside the app)
The app gives you a warning about using the tool on CH devices, and i took the risk.
Check the firmware version that the app gives you, and what it the lastest that has been deploid. Just to be sure. And do it if you dont mind taking the risk, do it.
In my case, the version that the app recomended has not on lolinet at that time. It only show up there, weeks later. But because the app connects to lenovo servers directly, i think it was safe.
Be careful because you can brick the device. And like @MrCrayon explained, i had one very old firmware, so xiaoxin didnt have the same "security" feactures has the newer devices. So maybe that is why it worked.
I bought my 1st oneplus phone today ,
For my surprise its patched vip PTA approve .
I cannot reset it. I have zero information about oneplus firmwares.

I do have a PTA patched OP9 & installed Evaluation X android 12 without patch loss. Don't worry about patch loss you can recover it by yourself

Guys you just need to write your patched imei somewhere. Once you lose your IMEI use miracle box software to restore the IMEI. You will get bunch of tutorials online.

No. Although my device is LE2110, but OTA updates automatically get the updates for LE2115. So I can use MSM Global Tool for LE2115 too, and I don't have to convert or anything.
In your case, maybe this will work to convert:
Convert T-Mobile OnePlus 9 to Global (or other) firmware

I really have no idea. Never heard of LE2119 variant. How about you unlock bootloader and then install custom ROMs? They are way better than OOS. I would personally suggest crDroid or Nameless. They have tons of features and are stable.

I'm afraid that it won't boot and I'll have to take it to the shop again. The signal is also locked but the Phone software is perfect while running A11 Stock

Ok. If you wanna go the safe way, download Oxygen Updater app from Play Store. Then download incremental firmware zip from there and try to update through System Update's Local Update option. If it's not compatible, the system just would not flash it at all.

Then I'm afraid I can't suggest anything else. You have to experiment on your own.

Are you a developer? Even if you are, you would have to be an employee at OnePlus to know what goes on in MSM Tool. If you really wanna experiment, I suggest you unlock bootloader and try custom ROMs. At least unlock bootloader and see if you can do that. There would be no harm. In T-Mobile variants, you can't unlock the bootloader simply, it asks for unlock token and you have to wait a few days. So, if you can unlock bootloader the simple way, there would be hope that this device isn't doesn't have freaky security like T-Mobile.
i can fix this device they basically killed by flashing wrong img & now its not able to take stock file if anyone have device in hand to test then DM me I'll build file for this.
Make sure i need full info
and it's may not done in 1st attempt
