I just picked up an L09 uk p20 pro today, but ive noticed that in Huawei music, it wont stay in landscape (stereo +) mode, when i rotate, it bounces back to portrait, yet landscapes fine into Stereo + mode in youtube, google play music and playerPro.
EDIT:
Checked my friends p20pro today.. his is the same.. wont stay in Stereo+ Landscape mode in Huawei Music.. must be a bug in the latest HMS Core update..
Any advice
I've had this exact bug for AGES, atleast around a year or so after first noticing it with spotify wherein the player wouldnt go landscape but yet the homescreen/station browser would?
The only way i've managed to get stereo sound+ sound out is to have the music playing and then open a random app like clock/whatsapp and then it kicks in, Very weird
As a point of reference i have an o2 branded P20 pro too (CLT-L09)

Hi All, Just a general interest post..
The W100 headphones appear to function very nicely in the official WM6.
Now when you tap the power button to turn off screen / lock keys my music keeps playing under windows media.
As for earbuds I am using a set from a SE w800i headset. Would not satisfy any audiophiles but they are ok for me and the length is perfect for the W100.
Have had some problems with Media Player Music Library
I just delete:
-Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM
and it is all ok again..
I found the workaround from xda-developers - always pays to search..

Not quite as good for me...
When I turn off the screen the music keeps playing, but only till the end of the song I'm listening to. Will not play any other songs until after I turn on screen.
Not a biggie really.

Have not had this problem.. If i select a library / album it plays till all songs are done..
Just as a side note today i had an album playing with TomTom running at the same time (sceen on) and voice prompts were playing over the music with any issues.
Other the TT i have not played with any settings all is default load.
You're Right
If you select album it will play the whole album through while screen is off.
I was having a problem because I was trying to play all the music on my mini SD in shuffle mode.
Seems that the screen needs to be on in order to shuffle the music.
I'll keep testing.
Hmmm that's weird. The problem seems to have fixed itself.
Don't know what I did exactly...have hard resetted several times since flashing. Different software combinations seemed to have adverse effects.
But I've noticed things more stable since I upgraded from SPB Shell Mobile v1 to v1.5.
Could just be coincidence though. Either way I'm happy it's working like it should
I seem to have this problem. I;ve not got shuffle mode on.
Also notice if I select album to play and then pause then play again the problem occurs.
Need to do some more testing but would be interested to know what others have found.
Also I have the W100 which people are complaining about. It does what its meant to with WMP and if I can overcome this play problem then I don't see a problem it is doing its job.
Capeli - i noted in some other thread you got a W100 too. what's your view on it now you've used it a while?
Problem with keepting screen off...
Hello~
I wonder whether anyone else has similar issues but...
For me... when ever I press any button to adjust "volume", "Fw/Rw", "Pause/Play" etc...
Screen just turns itself on~.
I just hope that there is way to keep screen off whilest making any adjustments on wmp...
Hope HTC will provide updated cab file to resolve this if this is common
issue with everyone.

People are complaining because the w100 only works with wmp and most people don't use it. It's library sucks, the screen turns on, there's no "exit player", etc... How hard would it be to allow the W100 to work with other software? :\
1) While watching movies in MX Player headphones with microphone, accidental moving of headphones cable increasing or decreasing the volume or stops playback. I thought it was headphones jack problem but sometimes when I move headphones cable, native Huawei music app is launching and starts playback without my control. I think Huawei did something with headphones control.
2) After update to EMUI4.0, all weather apps I tried can't display temperature value in notification bar. Only icon.
3) After update to EMUI4.0, when I change the theme, Google Chrome and Play icons disappear. They can be found by search but you can't see them. Only using Nova Launcher I can see them again.
This was my first Chinese phone after iPhone and Nexus 5 and it will be the last I think...
Please advice how to solve that issues.
Anyone know a way to get both speakers to work with music? It's completely stupid it only works in landscape with videos.
The 2 speakers working fine here with stock music player,in landscape.
I done a reset and it's working now. Thanks
I am an Apple Music subscriber. Our household if full of Apple devices and we have a family pack subscription. Apple music app doesn't rotate, so there is no way to enable Stereo + mode, except going into gallery and rotating the phone.
So my question is, whether there is a way to have Stereo + always enabled?

Audi should just work without going in to landscape. The landscape stereo audio is for videos only. It's a odd that Huawei done this.

What do you mean? The Audio is working for the 2 speakers in portrait mode, but in landscape mode the ear speaker output is higher.
Found an app that can force apps to landscape.

the audio is always coming from both speakers whether in portrait or landscape, but if you have "Stereo+" enabled it boosts the volume of the earpiece speaker when turning it to landscape mode. . it's def a welcome feature.
When putting the phone landscape in the music player it comes up with the play lists menu rather than just rotating the actual screen.
Any way around this? I normally have my phone in a landscape dock on my desk when streaming songs to my speakers and not being able to have the music player in landscape is really bugging me.
Hi all, just got the Huawei P20
A very fine phone!
I am looking for a few things, when I play games like pubg
The we chat, WhatsApp notifications keep popping out
How do you bypass that when playing full screen game and movies?
Secondly when playing pubg games, ive notice that there is a latency whenever I start pressing the screen again.
Is there fix to it?
One more thing, when I connect my car by Bluetooth.
It will automatically use the buildin music player to play "Dream it possible"
How can I disable this with another app?
Check notifications settings for WhatsApp etc for the popping notification. I think you might need to disable it completely. (The pop out notification or whatever it is)
For the music app, search for default apps in settings and -> music. For me Spotify is not there but maybe your music app will be there. Might fix the problem.
For the screen lag, I've seen people complaining about it on their P20 PRO I think. I can't recall having this issue on my normal P20.

I have tried to make the Music default player as something else, however even after rebooting the phone. My car still plays using the build in player to play musics.
For the screen delay, still no luck to what so ever i have tried.
