mobile data roaming between 2 sim cards - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have 2 sim cards in my device. the default mobile data is set to sim1.
when ever sim1 has no connection but sim2 has, I have no mobile data, because the mobile data is set to sim1.
If I want to set sim2 as the mobile data in settings.
I wish to avoid that.
I want the phone to make an automated mobile data roaming between sim1 and sim2, when ever sim1 is without service.
In the attachment you can see that the mobile data is set to sim1 and sim1 is not in service but the mobile data does not transforms to sim2.
I'm looking for a magisk module or something that will automatically make sim2 the mobile data provider in case sim1 has no connections.
does anyone has a solution for that?
I have a pyxis device with miui 12
Thanks

HTC U11 Dual Sim, SIM1 mobile data on, SIM2 mobile data off

Hi there
I have a U11 international Version (401) and two Sim Cards.
SIM1: with Data Plan
SIM2: no Data Plan (if i use data it's 3$/day....every day!)
My Problem is, when i connect my phone to the car over RSAP, it autmaticly switches to SIM2 and i have to pay.
I was not able to activate mobile data in SIM1 and deactivate mobile Data in SIM2. They are both on or both off.
I tried in: Settings/ more/ Data usage / SIM1 or SIM2
Any idea how i can seperate them? Is this a Firmware Bug?
Regards
+1, I have the same question. In the dual network manager I can set the "preferred" SIM card for the data connection, which is not what I want, I am looking to completely forbid the data connection with one of the SIM cards. Anybody?

Dual SIM automatic data switching

Is this possible with the OP6? I have a private SIM (SIM1) with a 10GB dataplan and a company SIM (SIM2) with a 1GB dataplan. My Sim2 is the default SIM for calling and the SIM1 is the default data SIM.
Whenever I make a call, my internet connection gets disconnected because there can only be one SIM active at a time, but I need a connection during the call so it would be very handy if the phone switches the data connection from SIM 1 to SIM 2 during the call (and back when finished).
I saw this is a feature on the Huawei P20 but did not find a setting on the OP6.
The quick tile button "switch data card" doesn't work during a call....

Having the internet cut out doesn't make sense, I have AT&T and T-Mobile with dual-4G enabled and when I have a call on SIM1, I maintain LTE on SIM2. Also check if your carrier supports VoLTE, as this will use LTE for voice and you won't lose data when calling.

I also have dual-4G enabled but the connection drops as soon as I have a call. VoLTE is not supported at all in the Netherlands on the OP6.

I too see the connection being cut when I have a call on the SIM that is not data by default... I see the data being stopped on the SIM 1 but it does not start on SIM2. In general I have to say that it seems it takes a long time for SIM2 to get data connection established when I test moving data on it. So this might be the root cause...
I have the same problem, any solution to this?

Dual Sim auto switch sim cards for bad connection

Hello guys
Do you know any App or solution for auto changing the sim card if the connection for SIM1 is to slow?
I'm using SIM1 for data connection and SIM2 for calls. But sometimes the connection of SIM1 is only Edge or less and SIM2 has 4G network.
I'm using a xiaomi phone with Android 9.
Sorry for my Bad German English.:fingers-crossed:

Dual sim 4g/5g or what? Can't change the network for single sim

I think when I select the mobile network to 2g/3g/4g/5g automatic from the settings, it sets the value for both the sim, not only on which sim the mobile data is turned on. For example, if I have mobile data turned on for sim2 and I set network to 'automatic' it sets automatic for both the sim, that means for sim1, it is also set to automatic. Even if I try to manually change the network by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and then going to phone information and setting the network to (suppose) GSM only for sim1, it sets GSM (2g) for sim2 also. & then going to sim2, if I set it to LTE only (4g) it is also set for sim1.
I think, it is set for both the sim when I select the value of mobile network for any sim, it sets the value for both the sim which actually costs the battery juice rapidly. How to fix this?
