The title says most of this. I am installing kali linux nethunter with the latest software.
I have tried twice with Cyanogen OS 12.1. I do a clean (factory image) installation, then install the nethunter zip directly after.
POOF! My device will not boot into the bootloader, system, or recovery. it gets stuck on both the recovery and system splash screens and i must use the Color.zip method to retrieve the device from a hard brick.
I have tried installing it over the COS 12.1 xxx2K1 version and i am currently trying to install it over the current release of CyanogenMod 13 (Not cyanogen OS 13)
Has anyone been able to successfully install nethunter on the most recent versions of software?
any help is appreciated. thank you!
Update:
Device still bricks with CyanogenMod 13 as well
Hello Guys,
I am completly new here. Sorry if i do something wrong with my Thread here...
Today I tried to intsall Lineage OS 14.1 on my Wileyfox Swift (Crackling).
- Unlocked Bootloader, worked I think so.
- Installed TWRP, works
- Installed the ROM zip, seems to work
- Installed GApps, seemes to work
BUT: After restarting the system, I only can restart into fastboot/bootloader. I can go into Recovery mode. But I cannot start the system.
Tried to wipe again and to it all again several times - always the same issue.
Tried it now with Lineage 15.0 - the same.
I do not know, why does my phone always start into the bootloader and don't start the system???
THANKS FOR HELP!
Try installing LOS 14.1 again, then do a restart and let the system boot first, after successful boot, go back to TWRP and install GApps.
I installed lineage 16 yesterday, worked fine, but while messing around in the menus I found something for an update, I went ahead and applied it, it then proceeded to boot loop on me. It would say can't load android system and would give me a option to try again or factory reset, I tried both, nothing helped. So I tried reinstalling the OS, i boot into twrp, choose the lineage and gapps zip, let it install, and then at the end I clear the cache, it runs through but then pops up in red "unable to find partition for path '/cache'". I then reboot and it then puts me right back at the screen for android recovery. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
Have you updated to the latest firmware using the instructions in the LOS thread for this phone? Did you forget to reboot between installing LOS and gapps? One of the two if probably your problem

Hello, I'm Poco X3 NFC User,
I had Official Lineage 18.1 installed in my device, with Oragne Fox as Recovery,
Yesterday Tried to Dirty Flash Baikaal OS, ( Found in Poco X3 Telegram Group),
it Showed the Rom boot logo and then restarted to recovery,
cleared dalvik/Cache, Room did boot to welcome screen and restarted happened 2-3 times,
Booted to Recovery , formatted system, cleared cache, and installed AOSP Extended from XDA,
it behaved exactly the same , Rom boots to welcome screen and restarts in split second,
And Orange Fox Recovery also kept restarting on Recovery Splash Screen,
Tried Installing Orange Fox Recovery via Fastboot, Still Restarts on Splash Screen,
Tried TWRP 3.5.0-0 By mahajant99 via fastboot, it flashes but keeps restarting to Recovery Splash Screen,
So, Right now I'm Unable to boot to Rom, or recovery.
Rom restarts after Welcome Screen, And Recovery on the Splash Screen.
What can be done??
Any help would be appreciated.

You shouldn't have done that. Always do a clean flash when changing ROMs.
To solve your problem, flash this fastboot ROM (5.3 GB) and don't relock bootloader:
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
When your phone reboots, simply always "skip" till it's up and running.
Install a recent TWRP. You will find one on this forum.
Install your ROM according to instructions
