Another way of installing Google services - Huawei Mate 30 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi guys,
This is not mine, I am just sharing because it seems nice imo. People who had problems with other methods might try this one also.
Here is the video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdZHOfOH7FE
I don't have the device so I can't try it myself.
Good luck!

[Q] Any luck on the dvd drive front?

Any luck on getting the cd/dvd drive to work on the TF? I personally don't care about it, but I got someone here who's been poking me about this for months now.
Sorry for digging out this thread. But I have done research on this (just because of curiosity) and believe that it may be connected with the problem solved here.
I have never compiled a kernel myself and I don't dare to do it just yet, but my question was whether the devs could try to integrate this to following versions of their kernels, maybe?
Thanks in advance

I am also very interested in trying to figure this out. I also tried several ways and couldn't get the Shield to connect to the VPN server that I setup at my house. Any info that anyone has would be appreciated.

And I join the list

And I shall tell....just kidding, I'm also still looking into this..
Sent from my SHIELD using xda app-developers app
For those of you having problems connecting to a vpn have you forwarded the port/s in your router?

I'm not sure how other people feel about VPN but I had a much nicer and better experience using the method that doesn't use VPN outlined here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2435481
I found my audio syncing wasn't as good but it's better than having difficulty having a playable experience remotely. Since I've setup that non-vpn method I could play on networks that weren't very good for many games.

PhoneMyPC

Most people who use PhoneMyPC love it. Many of us who bought it found out that Google has removed it from the marketplace, forcing us to find new ways to download it to install it onto our new phones. That sucks, and you can't be sure if the apk you're about to download is clean or not. Well maybe some of us can, but I know I can't.
There is good news though, if you want to download it to your new phone (I recently purchased a Nexus 5) you can go to to the Google Play store (play.google.com), on your desktop computer, and search for it there. It will allow you to install it to your new phone. I haven't confirmed if this works for people who haven't already purchased it, but I know it works for those who have. It didn't work when I logged out to try to see if I can find it. If you are looking to buy I believe you can still purchase it from Amazon's marketplace.
Anyways, this is my first post here. I love this forum, I am not a developer but I do appreciate all the help I find on here. I'm sure many of you might have already known about this workaround but there might be somebody like me who needs the help. I figured it's about time I shared.

[Completed] Pantech Crossover P8000

The information I have been able to find here and on the web for this device is rather old, so I am doing this thread in hopes of receiving some new information.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26635332#post26635332
I see this thread, and would like to try it but would appreciate updated information regarding it, as the last post is nearly 3 years old. Is this thread still correct? Is this the best answer for the Crossover?
I've seen stuff I'd like to try but am not the one to be the first. I'd like to not brick my device.
Is this phone capable of installing Replicant or CyanogenMod? Their sites do not list it as being able but also possible is that nobody cares about it.
Is there something else that would be better for this device? It is kinda weak, especially by today's standards. I really only use it to play music and voice record, but it can do more, I am sure. What is some possible recommendations for this device besides just using the stock OS?
I recently did a factory reset on it and found to my surprise that the play store no longer works. It has 'market' installed but the market app crashes. I found f-droid and am relatively happy with it but would like to make the most of the device. Your expert opinion on it would be very helpful. Thanks.

Hi friimynd. I couldn't find much information about your device here so I recommend just posting in that thread if you can't find any updated information. Your device is not that common here so there aren't that many topics to pick from.

From where should I start ...

Hello everyone,
My Nubia X just arrived and it's in my hands.
Of course it's with Chinese ROM (the dealer warned me before to order it by the way).
Anyway, the aim is to root it, to the phone to die while I'm trying.
Until now, there was no need to root any phone, because I had what I need. But now is a different story.
I know that will be challenge with that phone, but I'm open for it.
I would like to ask you, to give your suggestions what I should try on it, and make it work with Google services.
Consider that my technical knowledge is pretty high.
Thank you in advance!
Bro.
Hey you,
we are in the same situation right now:
So what I currently know.. there is a root solution but it seems like it is pretty weird to understand.
You can find the 'tutorial' here:
bbs.nubia.cn/thread-1396991-1-1.html
Well actually I don't even know if this works but you might give it a try.
As soon as I receive my own one I will definitely try this one out.
It seems like a one-click solution to me (but with all this chinese its kinda hard to understand).
The pictures at least show that they installed Magisk (17.4) which is even one of the newest ones.
Well let me know if it works for you.
Just send me a PM with your Discord Tag (if you own it) so we can stay in touch, if you like.
Cheers
Well, I've try most of the popular ways to install the Google framework, but without luck so far.
In other hand, I put some efforts to make the phone useful and remove the bloatware and install different launcher.
As I'm not tied with the google services that much, it's working for me. (see the screenshot)
hi br_other,
I've installed G-Framework and it works fine.
If the mods finally fix the problem (I cant post anything), I will create a tutorial for you guys.
Until then,
have fun with ur phone :fingers-crossed:
