hows it going everyone. i was trying to install Themer but it said that my phone was incompatible but the galaxy s3 is compatible. i even tried installing it on my wife's s3 and it worked just fine. couldnt find anything on google or the forums please help.:good:

I am the proud owner of a Galaxy S5 NEO – SM-G903FXXU1AOGG, on Android 5.1.1.
It's a work phone and I use it for calls, texts, email and with S4 I used it in conjunction with Sidesync.
Turns out, Sidesync, does not support the S5 Neo, and apparently the S5 Neo does not have the mirror feature??
So, I try Airdrop, but to use airmirror, my device needs to be rooted.
So, question is, can I root this device, and if so, when will it be available?
I suppose custom Rom is not possible (ie. different camera, processor etc) yet?

As far as I know by reading on this forum, gear S2 will not connect to any rooted phone because of Android pay. Is this true? Can you confirm that information, please?
I want to root my Huawei media pad x2 and test some CFW on it, but I'm worry that my gear S2 will not connect to my phone anymore after that!

I can't comment on non-samsung phones, but my note 4 is rooted and the S2 3G connects and works well. Pay is not available yet, so not sure if it'll be a problem once available.
No problems with rooted S4.
S5 rooted connect just fine. had problems with both ASUS watch versions, but this works beautifully. No Samsung pay for S5 so...
no man, i got note 3 european flashed in my rom country and rooted. It's a problem of the gear compatibily, unluckily on my xiaomi mi2 i can't did a connection until I update the gear with the last firmware (mine is Asian)
S2 works fine on rooted stock roms but work needs to be put in if you use cm.
I have an unbranded Dutch rooted Note 3 together with Gear S2 working like a charm! Must say that both the phone and gear are original non-import devices, running original ROM.
On my Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800F) on Android 4.4.2 (stock ROM) rooted it works like a charm. Cheers

i had Cm and i had to return to stock to be able to sync with the gear s2.
Do you know any way off pairing with cm ROM ?

Yes, you can connect your watch to your phone - even if it is rooted. The Gear app works just fine on rooted and non-rooted phones.
However, you can't use Samsung Pay, on the phone or the watch, if your phone is rooted.

Rooted S5 won't open Samsung Gear
Hey, gang.
I'm kinda stuck here and searching within XDA (or throughout the web) didn't help.
I just got a S2 Classic, which finds my S5 fine; via., Bluetooth.
However, because my phone is rooted (CM13) it won't open the Samsung Gear app; instead giving me a prompt that my, "operating system on my phone has been modified in an unauthorized way".
Thoughts, anyone?
EDIT: Gonna try editing build.prop.
