Have anyone successfully root Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus?
Use the root_original.zip from the sticky in this forum(galaxy 8.9) to root your device. Takes 1 minute. Download superuser from market. Update and you're set. Adfree. Titanium backup. It works great my tab plus.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287205
You do need a microsd however. You can't just place the file in the root of the internal memory.
Now if someone would write a cifs.ko for this device. The one for the other galaxy tabs don't work this architecture(this is samsung chipset not tegra)
Root file does it applicable for Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 plus 3G version?
No idea. I have a wifi only tab 7 plus. The only thing the root_original.zip does is it makes /system writable and place 'su' in /system/bin. It doesn't overwrite anything. Samsung didn't even bother locking it down. Try shutting your tablet down then powering it up by holding the vol up button. If you can get to recovery, it should work for you. If this destroys your tablet, please don't blame me. Like I said, I have a wifi only version.

By the way, if you don't believe me. Extract the zip and go into the meta-inf folder and keep on going thru the subfolders until you see updater-script and view it with any text editor. All it does is copy su into your tablet.

yes.
Does anyone have drivers?
Thank you so much.
By the way, if I use this root file to root my Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 plus. Can I able to unroot it?
After root, how do I perform OTA update?
started a rooting thread at the original Galaxy Tab forum...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367249
Anyway, ROOTING works fine for me, if u lost your root, just re-root again.. no probs..
KIES update still works fine... on my KIES, just receive an new firmware update notification.. however, from the device, no Software Update is available...
How to unroot after root the Samsung galaxy tab 7 plus?
easiest is to FACTORY RESET... BUT you loose your data...
if u want to keep your DATA... I have not researched on Honeycomb yet, but should be the same as Gingerbread... can try running this ADB script from my previous device forum...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340255
Download the UNROOT.zip from there and run it...
Make sure you have installed Samsung KIES and your device already recognized by your PC and set to DEBUG MODE...
If you dont understand the above, I cant help you any further...

Hmmmm, T-mobile is currently out of stock. By the way price seems to be 499$ with two years contract in the USA and 499 $ no contract in Malaysia. I may just have to make a quick trip to Malaysia

Dont have one myself, but have you tried Towel Root? works on everything ive used on it so far. As for data issues, yeah i do, mainly cause its sprints network lol. Usually find my data issues are related to sprints network not the device, USUALLY that is.
Sprint Galaxy s5 sport G860P
Please Mr. Chainfire, find us root for Sprint Galaxy s5 G860P. You sir are our only hope at this time. I have 2 weeks left before i can exchange it. I wasn't very smart in first checking for root info before i purchased it. I love the cell but its been 2 weeks and I don't see anyone working on this issue. I'm gonna exchange it if it isn't found before my exchange expiration date.

Ask in his CF-Root thread. He won't see that here. Requests are taken in his Thread, but no promises he'll take it before your return date
Good luck!

Try a different USB port and /or a different USB cable.
2 years ago I buy my galaxy s4 unlocked version from amazon.com. When I came back to Turkey I registered the Cellphones imei. After that I rooted my galaxy s4. I watch lots of tutorials and most of it did not work out. At the last try I was able to root my device. After a year my uncle bought me a gear 2 neo which needed a higher version of android. So i plug my galaxy s4 and updated trough kiosk. The result was my galaxy s4 was mys galaxy s4 lost its root acsess was gone and system was updated. Also most of the apps first run and then give a error. For example i downloaded can knockdown 3. First it worked fine then it stopped working. One of my friend suggested I need to downlad a rom and suggested cyanogenmod. I tried one button installer but it said the device is not supperted for this installer. But my phone is listed in the supported devices(GTI9500). Please help me. My cellphone is slowly dying. Also last thing. They say making a change on the phone sometimes deletes the imei registiration.
Thank you for using XDA assist. Any time you update you're firmware you'll lose root. So that's normal. To root it again see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292615&page=50 If you still have problems you can ask here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192886 And aslo see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4

Hello!
I am the proud owner of a Galaxy S5 NEO – SM-G903FXXU1AOGG, on Android 5.1.1.
It's a work phone and I use it for calls, texts, email and with S4 I used it in conjunction with Sidesync.
Turns out, Sidesync, does not support the S5 Neo, and apparently the S5 Neo does not have the mirror feature??
So, I try Airdrop, but to use airmirror, my device needs to be rooted.
So, question is, can I root this device, and if so, when will it be available?
I suppose custom Rom is not possible (ie. different camera, processor etc) yet?
Thanks for the help!

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist.
There is a general forum for android here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.
Also Please check this: http://www.xda-developers.com/root/
Good luck.
I have flashed a custom ROM lately and the Galaxy Wearables did not work so I used Magisk to fake my device to Pixel to be able to use it.
I am able to connect to Galaxy Buds but for Gear S3 watch I am stuck on the last "dot" while connecting.
What could be the possible solution?
Thank you in advance!
