P9 Update with Live Photo Feature released in China

Good news to share
Its seems like Huawei had also update their P9 with Live Photo features. (Automatically capture the video that happen before the photo is taken and embeded into the photo, Like in iPhone6s)
The update is already made available in China. We will have to wait Huawei to ship it globally, though.

Just updated with firmware finder DNS method to L09C432B391 it brought EMUI 5.0.1 with the moving photos mode. Everything ok.
I have a question, I was on C390 before this upgrade, but on Firmware Finder a see a newer C386 OTA that describes the same features. What could be the difference between these C390 and C386, EMUI 5.0.1 ??

I had wifi calling on B360 (I think it was). Jumped to 391 and now wifi calling is gone.

Anyone flash this yet to verify TWRP/Magisk still working properly?

Just updated, Magisk 16.0 works fine, passes SafetyNet. I don't install TWRP, but booting 3.2.0.0 from fastboot works fine.

Why in my pixel 2 I don't get the OTA updates ? I thought I would get the OTA update as it goes online. Bought the phone in Germany , TMobile and it's unlocked. What should I do ?

Does anyone know if google have actually addressed the multi touch bug yet? I did have a look at the changelog posted on page one and obviously didn't see it but I just want to clarify

Press the "check for updates" button? If you are already up to the Feb security update then that should be working (it did on mine earlier this evening).

I did. And as you see I'm in Feb and still nothing

You can flash the OTA manually with adb sideload if you don't want to wait.

This will work but you will need a factory reset afterwards cause lot of things won't work after clearing this cache especially push notifications.
The best way to update is to update google playservices to version 12 stable and check ota.

But why my phone doesn't update automatically the Google play services ? I still have the version 11.9. I guess that's why I don't don't have OTA update. There's anyway to make the Google play services update by itself ??

Needs to be located on root area not in download folder.

Already tried that. Can't navigate to that through normal system update. Thanks.

Updated to Android 10 through normal OTA in Spain. Data preserved, without any problem. Everything works fine. (model XT2019-1, RETEU)

Hi,
I have an issue related the adaptive brightness: it's activated but the brightness not changing (at the moment it remains at 82%). If I modify manually it remains at that value.
I have already:
- disabled/enabled it
- rebooted the smartphone
- reset the smartphone
but the issue persists.
Any idea?

Don't know what motorola are playing at used to be spot on few years back

I have just updated by using the motorola rescue assist, once it downloaded the firmware it already gave me the latest version, its super nice but i have a question, i feel like the battery is draining a little faster than before, is it normal? Any workaround ?

Hi.
I like many others have been attempting to install Google Services through bender_007's Googlefier on my P40 Pro. I've managed to downgrade to 10.1.0.168 but still need to downgrade further to 10.1.0.131. The phone is bought in Mainland China where I'm living and therefore the firmware may be different to the majority on this forum. I'm just wondering which firmware to flash back to 10.1.0.131 without bricking the device.
For example bender_007 has listed 4 download links for P40 Pro and I don't think any are compatible with my device? :

No they won't work with yours, the first 4 digits (C432 / C636 etc.) are for regions so you need to find the firmware built for your correct region.
Try taobao see if you can find any solution

as far as i know ,if your phone from china variant , you can use lzplay in emui 11 . just search for youtube ,theres a tutorial for it ,but in chinese .

My USB stopped working after I downgraded. Now I can't connect to a computer at all.
It updated via ota to .182
My original build was C636E3R5P4.
Any ideas?

I agree that it is possible to dont need downgrade at all to install Google on your phone. Try on any firmware version.

This is not your thread, and your problem is different. Upgrading to the last version of EMUi will fix your USB connection.

How can I upgrade? I can't find a DLOAD for my model that works and OTA has stopped upgrading beyond .182. Since hisuite doesn't work

Find any other firmware in dload format for your phone region. Upgrade or downgrade. Then try OTA.

Incremental updates EU rom

Hi!
I'm having problems with the OTA updates on my phone, they won't show up and I guess I'll have to try and install them manually.
My current MIUI version is: 12.0.3.0 (QJKEUXM) (I understand that it's an old verison of the EU rom?)
* The thing is, I'm struggeling to find the incremental updates that I would need to do so. I can only find the latest, full rom file.
* When I do find it, can I update to the latest version right away or do I need to update it in a certain order?
* Is it possible to use the options in the update view (pictures) to install the updates? (I'd preferably avoid TWRP etc if possible.)

Install the latest update with ota. Some users got stuck after upgrades, the safest solution are Miflash or TWRP, but this requires unlocking the phone.

install the proposed rom even if it is the same one you use, then check the updater.
